On Saturday, August 1st, the PB Texas staff traveled to McLennan Community College in Waco, TX, to host the Central Texas Upperclass Uncommitted Games, an invite-only event for the classes of 2027 & 2028.

More than 30 players made their way to MCC and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we conclude our post-event rollout by taking a look at the scouting reports on every pitcher in attendance as well as rank the top 5 from the event.

TOP PITCHING PROSPECTS

1. Brenden Price, Walnut Grove (TX), 2027
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP RHH/1B Will add strength. Moves well on baseball field. Abv avg HS defender at 1st. Project solid bat/power combo, raw power will develop. RHP FB will add velo, life present to both sides of plate, effective pitch. Change has quality action, slider developing pitch. Interesting to watch develop on the mound.
Body: 6-4, 198-pounds. Lanky build. avg width to shoulders/back. Lower showing some now strength. Projects to add needed strength.
Delivery: RH..Stretch delivery. High knee lift with inward turn, cast stride leg out and down slope. Lands with cross step delivery, open toe. Chest over front side, solid finish. LH...knee lift with inward turn, cast stride leg out down slope, cross step delivery. Open toe land, hip opens early, knee outside foot.
Arm Action: RH. RH...Full circle with length to back, low 3/4 slot. Crossbody finish, arm speed present. LH...Full circle, L 3/4 slot, cross body finish. LH arm drags at times.
FB: T90, 86-88 mph. Tail action to both sides, increasing to arm side. Can work up/down with effectiveness. T2255, 2155 average rpm.
SL: 72-72 mph. Varies action, must firm spin for success. Early breaker. T1817, 1752 average rpm.
CH: 79-82 mph. Quality turnover action with tail/sink. Slows delivery, arm speed hindering deception. Will be quality pitch. T1665, 1522 average rpm.
