Future Games: The Nation’s Biggest Recruiting Week
Welcome to the biggest uncommitted baseball event in the country. This week, the scouting world descends on LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA, for the highly anticipated Future Games week. While the week kicked off with the upperclassmen in the Senior Future Games (2027 grads) and features the rising stars of the Junior Future Games (2030 and 2031 grads), July 22nd through the 25th belong to the main event: the Future Games.
Bringing together the premier uncommitted Class of 2028 prospects from across the nation, the Future Games offer an unmatched platform. These elite athletes will be put through a comprehensive pro-style workout before battling it out in a three-game slate. Among the loaded rosters taking the field is Team NC, a powerhouse squad featuring the top uncommitted talent from across North Carolina.
If there was any question about the magnitude of this week, just look at the crowd behind the backstop. Last year’s event drew a staggering 450+ college coaches, and Day 1 of this year's showcase has already matched—if not exceeded—that massive turnout. The spotlight has never been brighter, and for the Class of 2028, it's time to perform.
Team NC Impresses on Workout Day
The wait is officially over for the Class of 2028. After months of anticipation, the Future Games kicked into high gear on Wednesday, July 22nd, with the pro-style workout day. With hundreds of college scouts flanking the backstops at LakePoint Sports, Team NC was one of the first squads to take the field, immediately setting a blistering tone—and raising the bar—for the rest of the country to follow.
The grueling, high-exposure day began on the turf with laser-timed 60-yard dashes, where several North Carolina prospects flashed elite, next-level athleticism right out of the gate. From there, the focus shifted to offensive evaluations. Players showcased their raw power and bat speed during live batting practice, with TrackMan tracking every inch of ball flight data, while cage work utilized BLAST Motion sensors to capture crucial pre-contact metrics.
Once the bats were put away, Team NC took to the dirt and outfield grass, showcasing their defensive tools and arm strength at their primary positions. The day concluded with a rigorous array of athletic testing, capping off a loud, explosive performance that caught the eyes of dozens of college coaches in attendance.
The metrics collected on Wednesday proved what we already suspected: this North Carolina group is deep, physical, and ready to compete. Below, we break down the top statistical performers from the workout day with the Team NC Leaderboards.
