This is the week of the 16U National Championship, taking place June 25-July 1 at LakePoint in Emerson, Ga., primarily featuring players from the Class of 2028. Well over 2,000 players are headed to LakePoint this weekend, and almost half of them are currently ranked on their home state's Prep Baseball rankings.
Each day, we'll be highlighting the top performances and recapping all the games inside of this Daily Roundup series.

The big frame was keyed by C Keegan Warren (GA; No. 315 state), whose three-run triple was the knockout blow, before A. Higgins followed with a two-run single and A. Buczek added an RBI single to cap the burst. **Northeast Pride '28 National 10, Titans National 2028 2** Northeast Pride broke the game open with a four-run sixth, capped by a grand slam from **C Brayden Kashner (PA)** that pushed the lead to 10-2 and put the result firmly out of reach. The Pride had built a 6-2 cushion entering that frame off a three-run fifth that included a two-run error. On the mound, **RHP Joseph Lewinter (NY; No. 31 state)** was electric in 2.1 innings, sitting 82-84 (T85) while generating 10 whiffs and punching out five without surrendering a hit. At the plate, **SS Colin Fimbres (NY; No. 316 national)** went 3-for-the-day with a triple and a double, **SS Robert Grzenda (PA)** added two hits including a double, and **3B Damien Eastman (PA)** went 2-for-2 to round out a deep Northeast Pride offensive effort.

Building Champions 16U Horner sent eight runs across in the bottom of the second to turn a scoreless game into a rout, adding a ninth in the fourth to close it out. RHP Cade Cantrell (MO; No. 169 national) was dominant on the mound, sitting 84-87 (T89) while striking out nine and generating 13 whiffs over 4.2 hitless innings. At the plate, SS Brodee Rawlins (KS; No. 2 state), 2B Henry Rittel (KS; No. 70 state), and OF Hunter Horner (KS; No. 19 state) each went 2-for-their-respective-appearances; Rittel drew an RBI walk during the big frame, Meneonihl singled in a run to keep the rally alive, and Horner capped the inning with an RBI single.

SmarTense 16U Prospects erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the fourth to turn a tight 7-5 deficit into a commanding 13-7 advantage they would never relinquish. Paxton Jennings was the engine on the mound for SmarTense, working 4.1 innings with 8 strikeouts, zero walks, and a whopping 17 whiffs. At the plate, 2B Charlie Edwards (GA; No. 256 state) delivered a two-run double in that decisive fourth, 1B Winston Morris (GA) followed with another two-run double, and 2B Grady Zydowsky (GA) and Solomon Lee each added doubles. For Stampede, 3B Stone Johnson (NC) provided two solid innings with 2 strikeouts and 4 whiffs, while Chase Biermann went 2-for-the-day with a triple and SS Farris Carinci (NC; No. 190 state) added a two-hit effort including a double.

**MAD Mavericks National 16U 1, Hit Dogs Illinois 16u Busch 11 — Final** Hit Dogs Illinois built a 5–0 cushion through three innings before erupting for six more in the fourth to put it away early. SS Cody Busch (IL; No. 170 national) was the engine on the mound, working 3.2 innings with 6 strikeouts and a remarkable 15 whiffs while holding MAD to one hit, sitting 78-80 (T82). At the plate, Mason Walker got things rolling with a two-run homer in the second, then B. Kono singled home two and LHP Luke Crowder (IL; No. 302 national) doubled home two more during the decisive fourth-inning burst. SS Bennett Kono (IL) went 2-for-3 with a double, OF Lawton Close (IL; No. 43 state) added a 2-for-3 line with a double, and C Jaythan Collazo (IL) and C John Rose (IL; No. 85 state) each went 2-for-3 to round out a deep, balanced Hit Dogs attack. SS James Sobkowiak (IL; No. 269 national) chipped in a double as well. MAD Mavericks managed little offensively against the Hit Dogs' pitching.

**Diamond Jacks Super 16s 2028 10, Southeast Sox 16U 2** Diamond Jacks Super 16s 2028 buried this one early, erupting for five runs in the bottom of the first to make the outcome academic before Southeast Sox 16U ever found their footing. C Abraham Katz (NJ; No. 17 state) delivered the blow that broke it open, ripping a three-run triple, with OF Connor Bresler (NJ; No. 151 national) adding an RBI double and G. Ross singling home another to cap the frame. Diamond Jacks kept piling on with three more in the third and added a pair of insurance runs over the final two innings. RHP Michael Donahue (NJ; No. 76 state) was sharp in two frames, sitting 81-85 (T86) while striking out five on six whiffs against just one walk and no hits allowed. Also contributing extra-base knocks were 3B Brogan Perreault (No. 41 state), OF Jack Spitaleri (NJ; No. 35 state), and 3B Owen Rivenbark (NJ; No. 53 state) — all doubling — while SS Luca Catanzarite (NJ; No. 14 state) went 2-for-the-day.

Reece Leader set the tone early, working 4.1 innings with 7 strikeouts and a tournament-best 19 whiffs while sitting 83-84 (T85); Eddie Lopez, Preston Jauidi, and Puckett Hudson each went 2-for-the-day to fuel the offense. The decisive frame came down to M. Mosteller, who singled to plate two, C. Holland added a run-scoring single, and B. Summely grounded in another to salt it away. SS Parker Bounds (GA) set the tone on the mound, striking out five and generating three whiffs across 2.2 innings while sitting 75-79 (T80); OF Liam O'sullivan (GA) and C Wes Tilson (GA) each went 2-for-the-day at the plate, with Tilson delivering an RBI single during the decisive first-inning burst — joined by an RBI single from E. Mashini and an RBI walk by S. Levenbaum to fuel the six-spot. OF Matthew Hughes contributed a double. The rally's centerpiece was a three-RBI double from **2B Owen Hoch (OH; No. 75 state)**, the biggest hit of the game. On the mound, **3B Logan Kerner (OH)** was efficient in two innings of work, allowing just one hit and no walks while racking up two strikeouts on three whiffs. For RCS Warpath Gold, **Gavin Natt** and **Landon Rossi** each went 2-for-the-day at the plate, with Natt driving in a first-inning run on an RBI single to give his club the early lead.

**Houston Wildcatters Navy 2028 7, Complete Game of PA 5** Complete Game of PA seized early control when three runs crossed in the bottom of the first — N. Fisher's sacrifice fly and B. Cantello's RBI single putting the Wildcatters in an early hole — but Houston clawed back and eventually pulled ahead for good with a two-run fifth that made it 7–5 final. OF Colt Sampson (TX) provided the Wildcatters' signature swing, a two-run homer in the first, while SS Callen Corley (TX; No. 117 state) went 2-for-the-day with a triple and SS Jonathan Massey (TX) added a triple of his own. **Motor City Hit Dogs National 13, NOVA Premier 0** Motor City Hit Dogs National sent nine men to the plate and plated five in the top of the first, never looking back en route to a run-rule victory at Calhoun HS. C Thomas Barnhart (OH; No. 29 state) singled home two and OF Carter Cobb (MI; No. 68 state) followed with another two-RBI single to blow the game open early, with J. Ouimette adding a run-scoring single as well. Barnhart and 2B Nathan Phillips (No. 85 state) each finished 3-for-the-day, with Phillips adding a double, while Cobb went 2-for-2. On the mound, RHP Broderick Calder (MI; No. 53 state) was dominant, spinning five innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts, one walk, and seven whiffs against a NOVA Premier lineup that never threatened.

**Louisville Baseball Club 8, Show NE 16u Showcase 3** Louisville trailed 3-1 heading into the seventh before erupting for six runs to pull away at Cedartown. SS Wyatt Graeter (No. 29 state) was at the center of the decisive frame, doubling in two runs to key the surge. On the mound, SS Nolan White (KY; No. 18 state) opened with 3.1 innings of 6-K ball, sitting 80-84 (T85) and generating nine whiffs, before OF Jacob Freibert (KY) closed out with 5 more strikeouts in 2.2 frames. At the plate, OF Alex Whitaker (KY; No. 16 state) went 2-for-the-day with a home run and a double, while RHP Tighe Brown III (KY; No. 7 state) added a double. The inning did its damage via the walk — J. Massa, B. Ackerman, and O. Herring each drew bases-loaded walks for RBIs — and the Flames never looked back, holding the lead the rest of the way. RHP Asher Visconti (OH) was the story on the mound, spinning five hitless innings with 5 strikeouts and a tournament-worthy 13 whiffs while sitting 80-84 (T85). For Nelson Baseball School 16U, no individual standouts emerged in the box score to feature.

Coastal Stars 2028 Premier put the game away with a five-run fourth that pushed their lead to 12-6 and never looked back, as C Brody Rogerson (GA) delivered the decisive blow — a grand slam that accounted for four of those runs — before J. Holding a 2-1 edge through four innings, Ascent Athlete 2028 Scout erupted for four runs in the bottom of the fifth to pull away for good in Hiram. The rally was fueled by C Nolan Gratton (PA; No. 10 state), who delivered a two-RBI triple and later added an RBI double — accounting for three of the inning's four runs — while OF Zack Lawler (PA; No. 15 state) chipped in a sacrifice RBI to cap the burst. On the mound, RHP Dominic Fantano (DE) was sharp through four frames, working sat 77-78 (T80) and generating 13 whiffs with four strikeouts against just one walk and one hit. Lawler also went 2-for-the-day with a double. For Georgia Bombers, SS Joshua Wilkes (GA) provided the offensive highlight with a double in a tough-luck defeat.

The decisive blow came from OF Cain Barowsky (GA), who ripped a three-run triple in the fourth — one of two triples on the day for the multi-hit outfielder. 3B Wilson Lillard (GA; No. 327 state), sitting 81-84 (T85), worked 5.1 innings with four strikeouts and six whiffs, scattering just one hit. Also contributing multi-hit efforts: 1B Jacob Sherrill (GA; No. 268 state) (double) and SS Michael Nance (GA), whose RBI single in the third got the Jackets on the board first. OF Bryce Miley (GA) and 2B Ryan King (GA) each added doubles. For the Tigers, SS Evan Null (MO; No. 79 state) was electric despite the result — sitting 80-82 (T83) over 3.2 innings, he punched out eight and generated 17 whiffs. Foust reached on error with two runs scoring, SS Max Lorio (GA; No. 337 state) singled home another, and 1B Khari Mayfield Jr (GA) added an RBI on a sacrifice fly to cap the frame. SS Jax Foust (GA) did the heavy lifting on both sides, going 3-for-4 with a double at the plate and spinning 5.1 innings with five strikeouts and 10 whiffs on the mound. Brayden Slorahn added a triple among his two hits, Jackson McBurnett doubled, OF Connor Patel (GA) and Mayfield Jr each went 2-for-2, and Lorio finished 2-for-3. For Grit Fusion, Thomas Reilly provided the lone offensive bright spot with a double among his two hits.

The offensive engine for XE9 ran deep: Maverick Labbe went 3-for-the-day with a triple, Alec Cabrera delivered a two-run homer in the third, and Javier Sanchez and Kris Mederos each added two-hit efforts, Sanchez with a double. Kevin Ambroise worked 2.2 innings with eight whiffs, holding the opposition to one hit while issuing two walks. For Baseball Portal – TRW 28's, Luke Walen's go-ahead two-run double highlighted a four-run top of the second that briefly gave his club a 7-2 advantage, with G. Heidenberg adding an RBI walk in the same frame.

Cole finished with a two-hit day. **SS Ethan Johnson (VA)** worked 2.2 innings on the mound, generating four whiffs and striking out three while allowing two hits and two walks. For Pro Skills 16U, **OF Chase Bergman (NJ)** roped a triple and **RJ McKay** added a double, with T. Simpliciano manufacturing the second Pro Skills run via a ground-ball RBI to pull even.

**Richmond Braves 16U Platinum 5, Canes Indiana Scout 2028 5** Richmond Braves 16U Platinum seized control with a three-run third, capped by a three-run homer from 3B Noah Brooks (No. 29 state) that pushed the lead to 5-2 and proved to be the decisive blow in a game that ended knotted at five. The Braves got on the board early, with 3B Isaac Elder (VA; No. 36 state) doubling in a run and T. Von Herbulis singling home another in the first. On the mound, 2B Tyler Howard (VA; No. 209 national) was sharp in 1.2 innings — sitting 85-88 (T89) with four strikeouts, no walks, and 10 whiffs. OF Landon Buracker (VA; No. 120 state) went 2-for-the-day for Richmond. For Canes Indiana, 2B Connor Gordon (IN) went 2-for-2 with a double, and C Landyn Jewell (IN) added a double as Indiana rallied to tie it by the sixth.

Love's two-run single was the decisive blow, and J. Cap added a sacrifice fly to extend the cushion to four. On the mound, OF Sam Taylor (NC) worked three innings, sitting 78-80 (T81) and generating six whiffs against just two hits and no walks, fanning one. OF Brody Michel (NC; No. 68 state) supplied a double, and Ashton Fricks (NC; No. 198 state) went 2-for-the-day. For Knights National, 3B Brody Burton (TN; No. 68 state) went 3-for-3, SS Leyton Stevens added two hits, OF Cardon Bell (TN) went 2-for with a double, SS Austin Holmes chipped in a double, and Maxwell Elliott provided the highlight with a two-run homer in the sixth that briefly gave the Knights a 5-3 edge.

**16u USA Scout National Navy 1, DPC 2028 National Ghost SE 4** DPC 2028 National Ghost SE seized control with a two-run fourth, turning a 1-0 lead into a 3-0 cushion that proved insurmountable, as Roman Defalco's RBI single was the key blow in the frame. **Canes Southwest National 16U 6, SBA Virginia East 2028 5** SBA Virginia East 2028 struck first and struck hard, plating three runs in the top of the first — Sam Drewry's two-run double doing the heavy lifting — but Canes Southwest National 16U clawed back and seized the lead for good with a three-run fifth, capped by J. Simcik singling home two. Drewry finished with a big afternoon, going 2-for-2 with both hits going for extra bases, while OF Connor Jones (VA) added a 2-for-2 effort with a double and O. Conley chipped in an RBI knock in the fourth. For Canes, RHP Jackson Phillips (TX) opened on the mound and generated three whiffs across two hitless innings, sitting 79-81 (T82), and OF Kayaan Kotharia (TX) provided the offense's backbone with a 2-for-2 day that included a double.

The decisive blow came from C Matthew Madonna (PA; No. 43 state), who launched a three-run homer to push the lead to 7-1; Madonna finished 2-for-the-day with that go-ahead blast.
