ROSTER PREVIEW

Jesse Maddox OF / LHP / Granite Hills High, CA / 2029

From 4/10/26: "It takes a lot of trust in a player to throw a freshman on the mound, especially late in the game when you cannot afford giving up anymore runs. The Granite Hills coaching staff clearly has a lot of confidence in Maddox's abilities, and I can't blame them. The freshman featured a strong frame with present athleticism and body control. Additionally, Maddox appeared calm, collected and in command once on the mound, a sight that was unwelcoming to Helix hitters. While he only went 1 inning, it was absolutely dominant. Maddox utilized a lethal FB, SL, Sinker mix that consistently caught hitters off guard and kept them uncomfortable. The FB was lively out of the hand and had excessive ride. The SL tunneled exceptionally well out of the same high 3/4 arm slot as the FB and resulted in a lot of uncomfortable swings. The freshman worked quickly but rhythmically and maintained a commanding but consistent tempo. The confidence and composure that Maddox expressed on the mound was alluring. I consistently found myself questioning the fact that Maddox is a freshman, but that simple fact expresses the profoundness of his athletic ability and potential."

Eric Tani SS / 2B / Harvard-Westlake, CA / 2027

From 10/12/25: "Tani delivered one of the most complete performances of the event, showing poise on both sides of the ball. A true switch-hitter, he flashed barrel accuracy and line-drive consistency from both sides, reaching a 95.6 mph max exit velocity with 22.3 mph max hand speed during BP. The swings mirror each other well, with a slightly more fluid look from the right side in game action. Tani carried that rhythm into gameplay, collecting a base hit from each side of the plate, showing an all-fields approach on both swings. On defense, he showcased smooth footwork and a strong, accurate 82 mph arm across the diamond. His two-way ability was on full display when he hopped on the mound and delivered a scoreless inning with three strikeouts, attacking hitters with confidence. The FB sat 81-83 mph with whiff in the zone and also showed off two strong secondaries (CB: 70-71, CH: 73-75) that he could both land for strikes. Overall, Tani impressed as one of the most well-rounded and projectable 2027 prospects from the event."

Linus Sinclair C / OF / Harvard-Westlake, CA / 2029

From 5/18/25:

Positional Profile: OF/RHP Present build suggests plenty of physical upside. Loose actions and balanced posture stand out. Added strength will likely unlock another level of performance.

Hit: RHH. Feet are set just wider than shoulder-width with a square stance. Knees are bent and weight appears centered. Hands are positioned near the back shoulder with elbows relaxed.
