Trackman Files (Hitting): 2026 Underclass Top Prospect Games

Lafayette, LA - On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the Prep Baseball Louisiana staff traveled to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, to host our Underclass Top Prospect Games, which featured over 100 players in the state's 2028 & 2029 classes.  Each participant went through a pro-style workout that consisted of running a laser-timed 60-yard dash with VALD Performance, defensive evaluations, and batting practice using Trackman Baseball and Blast Motion.  Each pitcher threw live in game with Trackman Baseball running to receive all of their pitching data and metrics.  Below, we take a look at some of the top Trackman hitting metrics from Tuesday's event.

Line Drive percentage: This metric is determined by the percentage of line drives hit during a given set of batted ball events.  Trackman defines a line drive as any batted ball with a launch angle between 10 and 24.9 degrees.
