Richie Reiffenberger RHP / Rio Rancho HS, NM / 2028PITCHER From the National Program Invitational: “After breaking out at the Four Corners ProCase on June 2, Reiffenberger traveled down to the NPI with Canes West National and transferred his showcase stuff into live action. In seven innings, Reiffenberger K'd 14 batters, which led the tournament, and he allowed just one hit in that outing. He's a wiry 6-foot-3 righty with low-90s stuff and a breaking ball that features spin over 2,600 rpm.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Camden Boehm RHP / East Lake HS, MS / 2027PITCHER From the National Program Invitational: “Boehm delivered a lights-out start for Top Tier Roos American at NPI, with 13 Ks in five frames, and he allowed just one hit, two walks, in a combined shutout. In the outing, he was 91-94 mph with the fastball and he mixed in a downer 12/6 breaking ball, 72-75, that helped him generate whiffs.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Lawson Moore LHP/1B / Gatewood HS, GA / 2028PITCHER From the National Program Invitational: “Over two outings at NPI, Moore punched out 12 batters over 7.1 innings and allowed no runs on three hits, two walks, with 12 Ks. During bracket play, the southpaw K'd nine in six shutout innings to advance Arizona Diamondbacks Scout Team in an elimination game. The 6-foot, 215-pound prospect was 86-89 mph with two different breaking balls and he's one of the top left-handers in Georgia's 2028 class.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Wyatt Gordon RHP/C / Charleston HS, IL / 2027PITCHER From the Illinois Open: “Gordon is Illinois' first breakout player of the summer after exploding on both sides of the ball in Rantoul. He was 87-90 mph on the mound while spinning a 2,700-plus rpm breaking ball. He K'd 10 in six frames and allowed just one unearned run on three hits, three walks. But then offensively, Gordon collected eight hits and six RBIs, four of which came on a grand slam on the first day of the tournament.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Jesse Covington SS/RHP / Wesleyan Christian HS, NC / 2028UTILITY / TWO-WAY From the National Program Invitational: “Covington is a do-it-all player from North Carolina, fresh off being named to all-state and all-conference teams after his sophomore spring at WCA. At NPI, he collected four extra-base hits and seven RBIs. On Saturday, Covington led USA Prime National to a win against Building Champions by recording a pair of extra-base knocks and then he hopped on the bump to notch a six-out save. He was up to 94 mph on the mound, too.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Xavier Rodriguez C / Archer HS, GA / 2029CATCHER From the National Program Invitational: “Rodriguez is the top-ranked '29 in the state of Georgia and one of the top-ranked catchers in the country. Cullen Scott 3B/RHP / Melissa HS, TX / 2028INFIELD From the National Program Invitational: “Few players left LakePoint with more helium than Scott, who topped 98 mph bright and early on Saturday morning for Team Elite Scout and he added three hits in the same game including a grand slam at 101 mph EV and a double to his opposite field. The two-way '28 is one of the best prospects in the class and after his showing at NPI, Scott is headed to the fourth annual Prep Baseball All-American Game in September.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Casen Smith SS/OF / Eureka HS, MO / 2027INFIELD From the STL 17U Summer Championships: “Smith went 7-for-19 in St. Louis last weekend with three doubles and a home run. Thomas Shank OF/SS / Rock Canyon HS, CO / 2028OUTFIELD From the National Program Invitational: “The top-ranked '28 in the state of Colorado was one of the biggest winners at NPI last weekend in Georgia for Canes West National. The left-handed hitter was all over the barrel at NPI as one of the top performers in the whole country.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Austin Brown OF / Wasatch HS, UT / 2028OUTFIELD From the National Program Invitational: “The 6-foot-2, 220-pound left-handed slugger makes putting the ball over the fence look easy. He slugged two homers at NPI, both in the same game and to different parts of the field. His backside homer left the bat at 97 mph EV and he went down to get it beneath the zone, and he pulled another that traveled over 400 feet at 101 EV.” – PBT Scout Staff |

Noah Goettke OF / P27 Academy, OH / 2027OUTFIELD From the National Program Invitational: “Goettke exploded in his first game at NPI for Indiana Bulls Black, going 3-for-5 with a walk-off grand slam that traveled nearly 400 feet, leaving the bat at 101 mph EV, which was his second triple-digit EV of the ballgame. The Ohio State recruit is ranked inside the top-350 nationally within the incoming senior class.” – PBT Scout Staff |
Honorable Mentions
The rest of this week’s nominees, recognized by our staff across the country for their performances, listed alphabetically:
+ Jackson Barker (KS)
RHP · Shawnee Mission South HS, KS · Class of 2027 · Uncommitted
From the National Program Invitational: “Barker punched out 12 batters across two outings in eight innings total, collecting whiffs on 46% of swings. Barker works with a little natural deception inside his delivery, hiding the ball down the mound with a compact and quick arm stroke that gets on hitters quickly, helping him generate swings and misses at an above-average rate. He was up to 90 mph during Kansas' spring season and he sat 85-88 mph during the NPI with feel for two tight-spinning breaking balls.” – PBT Scout Staff
Jackson Barker (5/20/26)
+ Jaxon Barrett (TN)
RHP · Siegel HS, TN · Class of 2027 · Vanderbilt
From the National Program Invitational: “Barrett K'd 10 batters in 5.2 innings at NPI, allowing just one run on four hits, three walks. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound incoming senior is committed to Vandy and among the top-ranked righties in Tennessee's 2027 class. At NPI, he reached 94 mph on a vertical, carry fastball with feel for multiple secondaries.” – PBT Scout Staff
+ Lathan Boddie (AL)
RHP · Faith Academy, AL · Class of 2029 · Uncommitted
From the National Program Invitational: “Boddie was one of the breakout freshmen in Alabama this spring and now he's doing it on the national stage, most recently at the NPI. He climbed up to 90 mph back in mid-February for his high school and sat 84-87 mph at LakePoint for Atlanta Braves Scout Team. He punched out 10 batters in seven complete innings and allowed just three runs on four hits, no walks.” – PBT Scout Staff
Lathan Boddie (6/3/26)
+ Maddox Bryant (TX)
3B · Kingwood HS, TX · Class of 2029 · Uncommitted
From the National Program Invitational: “Bryant is one of the best '29s in Texas, thus, one of the top '29s in the nation. He made an impression all week long by landing barrel upon barrel, totaling six hits and two extra-base knocks. He spread his contact around the field well and left LakePoint with a prospect arrow pointed up.” – PBT Scout Staff
+ Jude Davidson (AL)
RHP · Mountain Brook HS, AL · Class of 2027 · Navy
From the National Program Invitational: “Davidson was dominant in his start at NPI for Excel Blue Wave National, tossing six innings and allowing just one run on six hits, one walk, with 13 Ks. The Navy recruit was up to 86 mph in the outing.” – PBT Scout Staff
+ Bryce Fontenot (GA)
1B · Cherokee Bluff HS, GA · Class of 2027 · Uncommitted
From the National Program Invitational: “Still uncommitted, Fontenot has some of the best bat strength in Georgia's 2027 class, which he showed all spring for his high school. Now in the summer, the 6-foot-2, 228-pound first baseman connected for two home runs at NPI and drove in six RBIs for USA Scout Team Nike.” – PBT Scout Staff
Bryce Fontenot (6/8/26)
+ Nolan Gillespie (GA)
RHP · North Hall HS, GA · Class of 2027 · Uncommitted
From the Alabama Open: “Gillespie turned in one of the most impressive pitching performances of the weekend, dominating over four scoreless innings while striking out eight and allowing just one walk. The '27 right-hander worked primarily off an 86-88 mph fastball that topped out at 89 and featured quality ride through the zone, generating plenty of swings and misses. He paired the fastball effectively with a 76-78 mph slider that consistently kept hitters off balance and complemented the heater well. Gillespie possesses a tall frame with room to continue adding strength, which suggests there may be even more velocity to come as he develops. With his current stuff, ability to miss bats, and physical projection, he is a pitcher who should continue to draw attention moving forward.” – Colin Chamblin, Deep South Operations & Scout
+ Trevor Henson (NV)
C/OF · Centennial HS, NV · Class of 2027 · Uncommitted
From the Las Vegas Open: “Henson wrapped up his spring at Centennial High named to the Prep Baseball Nevada Class 5A All-Southern NV Second Team roster as a DH, and the bat stayed hot so far this summer. He was all over the barrel at the PBT Las Vegas Open notching a couple extra-base knocks, including a homer. He's still uncommitted and one of the top-ranked catchers in his home state.” – PBT Scout Staff
Trevor Henson (6/7/26)
+ Jaidon Maxwell (MD)
1B · Linganore HS, MD · Class of 2027 · Wake Forest
From the National Program Invitational: “Maxwell, a Wake Forest commit, smashed two homers at NPI and drove in six runs for Performance National. The Maryland native is ranked inside the state's top-10 as a right-handed-hitting slugger in a big 6-foot-3, 200-pound build.” – PBT Scout Staff
+ Max Nibarger (AZ)
OF/SS · Perry HS, AZ · Class of 2028 · Uncommitted
From the National Program Invitational: “The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect from Arizona recorded seven hits at NPI, including three that went for extra bases, and it helped him produce seven RBIs for Canes West National. He's a true switch-hitter with a compact and simple stroke that is geared for bat-to-ball skills, as evidenced by his showing down in Georgia last weekend.” – PBT Scout Staff
+ Sullivan Reed (MS)
3B · Lamar HS, MS · Class of 2027 · Mississippi State
From the National Program Invitational: “All Reed does is hit and hit and hit in front of the Prep Baseball staff, wherever he is. At the NPI, the Mississippi State recruit collected another six hits, three of which were doubles, generating six RBIs for East Cobb Astros. It's easy triple-digit EVs that he lines all over the yard.” – PBT Scout Staff
+ Jackson Schmidt (VA)
SS/INF · Gonzaga College HS, VA · Class of 2028 · Uncommitted
From the Mid-Atlantic Open: “Schmidt was an all-conference player for his high school team as a sophomore this past spring and he rolled right into the summer looking like a must-follow '28 from Virginia. We saw him up to 88 mph on the mound at a tourney at the end of May, and the following weekend at the Mid-Atlantic Open, he impressed offensively. He had a single-game output of two homers, a three-run triple, and a two-run double which placed him on this list.” – Jake Tobin, PBT Mid-Atlantic Tournaments Director

He tossed a complete-game no-hitter at the Showdown for Carolina Prime and then K'd another nine batters in six frames, generating whiffs at a 43.5% clip. The '29 prospect is ranked inside the top-15 in South Carolina and he currently works in the 82-86 mph range on a rise/run fastball that particularly projects, though there's a solid curve/change combo here as well.” – PBT Scout Staff
Colt Spargur (5/30/26)
+ Shake Speckert (MO)
OF · Francis Howell HS, MO · Class of 2027 · Uncommitted
From the STL 17U Summer Championships: “Speckert is one of Missouri's top-ranked uncommitted incoming seniors and his left-handed bat connected for some especially loud contact, including a long two-run home run. He followed up his performance in the St. Louis area with an impressive showing at the Missouri State Games this week where he ran a 6.80 and averaged an EV of 91.9 mph (101.2 max).” – Ryan Malzahn, PBT Missouri Tournaments Director
+ Myles Tate (GA)
SS · Woodward Academy, GA · Class of 2028 · Uncommitted
From the National Program Invitational: “This uncommitted '28 put our staff and coaches on notice last weekend at NPI right away, launching a no-doubt homer in his first game of the week with six RBIs in that same ballgame. His 6-foot-4, 225-pound stature adds to his growing prospect status, and he's a 6.78 runner inside that frame, too.” – PBT Scout Staff
Myles Tate (6/4/26)
+ Brodie Taylor (LA)
3B/RHP · West Monroe HS, LA · Class of 2029 · Uncommitted

OF · Frederick Douglass HS, KY · Class of 2028 · Uncommitted
From the National Program Invitational: “Whitaker landed barrel after barrel down at LakePoint for the NPI last weekend, amassing eight hits total for LBC National. Whitaker is ranked inside the top-20 in Kentucky's 2028 class with two-way upside.” – PBT Scout Staff
Alex Whitaker (6/7/26)
+ Chris Worrell Jr. (WI)
C · Oak Creek HS, WI · Class of 2030 · Uncommitted
From the The Rock 14U Summer Championships: “Worrell Jr. is looking like one of the best young players in Wisconsin and he's on a special trajectory already. He lit it up offensively at The Rock Complex last week and he carries with him one of the best left-handed bats we've seen at his age in the state. He's a 6-foot, 180-pound slugger with premium tools behind the plate too for Hitters Navy.” – Andy Sroka, National Managing Editor
