2028 Class

Isaiah Cador, MIF, 2028, Union Grove HS
The MIF had an excellent showcase at Top prospect with great swings all day. He lit the field up all day with consistent barrels at 90+ EV maxing out at 95.8 along with a bomb during BP. Showed off loose hands with a simple load creating effective pull side power. He can also work all over the plane sitting back and matching the plane with any pitch he sees. At 5-foot-7, 158.5 pounds he is an explosive athlete running a blazing 6.40-60 and showed those wheels off by hustling down the line after a barrel to RF on an elevated fastball. Cador looks comfortable with quick and smooth feet in the INF. Cador will more than likely develop especially with proven explosiveness along with maintaining his high athleticism as he grows.

Beck Hodges, SS, 2028, Pierce County
The Pierce County SS was one of my favorite finds of the spring and fast forward to the summer now where he showed well yet again. Athleticism in the 5-foot-5, 127-pound frame with present tools to stick up-the-middle in the dirt long-term. Glovework and actions in the dirt may be some of the best in the state. Bouncy, fluid footwork with excellent instincts and impressive quickness in all directions. Budding arm strength from multiple angles and innate accuracy to the bag from different pots in the dirt as he posted an 80 IF velo. Glove-to-hand and flexibility in the dirt has a chance to be a carrying tool long-term and showed up in a loud way across the day. Also ran a 6.97 60-yd. The RHH finished his BP round with max 86.4 exit velocity. Stays balanced with good incorporation of his lower half and compact through the zone. Bat-to-ball skills are present with ability to use the entire field well. Hodges carries that South GA gamer mentality with tools to match and could draw interest across multiple levels this Fall.

Zach Koons, SS, 2028, GAC
The consistency from Koons has been his staple over the last 2 year. The glove has been his best attribute over the last 2 years, but now the strength is coming into play and really changing his game at the dish. It is now a strong and athletic 5-foot-10 185-pound frame. He kicked off the day with a 6.94 60. He posted a max EV of 97.5 and carried that straight into game play with a barrel up the middle.

Rylan Holloway, 3B/RHP, 2028, Mary Persons
Holloway had an impressive day both in the field and at the plate at the showcase. A true competitor, he has the versatility to play all over the diamond and shows a reliable glove. Defensively, he displays good footwork in the infield with the ability to get the ball out quickly and accurately. He shows solid range to both sides and does everything he can to keep the ball in front of him. At the plate, Holloway shows a strong feel for hitting with present power to the pull side. He demonstrated a quality two-strike approach, widening his stance and doing whatever it takes to put the ball in play. In batting practice, he used the entire field before getting the bat head out and driving the ball with authority to the pull side. He posted a max exit velocity of 94.5 mph and consistently found the barrel throughout the day.

Peyton Wilson, 1B, 2028, Heritage
The bat was consistently loud and quick through the zone today in Wilson’s BP round as he put together an impressive showing. The bat lived above 70MPH as the barrel was naturally whipped through contact. The swing produced 5+ 100+ EVs and maxed out at 105EV. The quick twitch athleticism was on display as he also ran a 6.86-60 yard dash. At 6-foot-even and 192 pounds, Wilson looks primed to make a jump in mental and physical maturity.

Allan Ichim, SS, 2028, North Gwinnett
Ichim showed extremely well yesterday at the Top Prospect Games. Physically an impressing athlete, Ichim’s numbers made him a stand out athlete all day; frame of 6’2 184. For his size, he moves great, ran a 6.73 yesterday. Combining his speed with his strength, Ichim put together a very impressive round of BP, hitting a max EV of 100.5 and averaging 94.8. On top of his offensive efforts, Ichim had one of the highest IF velos of the day, touching 90 on his hardest throw across the diamond. Ichim will be a 5-tool player to watch this summer for the Jackets National team, and for the North Gwinnett offense next spring.

Myles Tate, SS/3B, 2028, Woodward AcademyTate had a phenomenal all around day as his round of BP stood out from the rest, effortless power from Tate as he has a smooth on plane swing that allowed him to put multiple over the fence in his bp round (Max EV: 98.1). Standing at 6-foot-4 215 pounds Tate ran a 6.78 60yd dash and had a 1.58 10yd split, with his power, size and speed combined Tate looks like a rare type of player that truly has all 5 tools. I would be on the lookout for Tate to make a splash this upcoming summer as he truly is a special player.

Ryan Dunham, SS/RHP, 2028, Holy Innocents
The SS had a great day yesterday and competed well. During BP he displayed quick hands with a fluid swing through the zone to barrel up the ball. You see the explosion in his hips when he swings as well that you can see in the EV 94.6. Showed consistency as well during BP swing stayed the same throughout. During the game he showed that same swing, turning on an inside pitch, getting his hands through quickly for a single. A solid frame, a 6-foot and 175 pounds, leaving room to get taller and get stronger. As the summer continues he looks to make big strides as the season gets ramped up.

Lio Garcia, SS/OF, 2028, Buford
Garcia, Buford SS, is coming off a strong spring offensively and defensively looking to continue that into the summer. Showed off the speed running a 6.50 60 and a 1.56 10-yd split leading to quick jumps on the bases and good range in the INF/OF. He also has a max speed of 21.3. The lumber was on display as Garcia slashed a max EV of 100 with an avg. EV of 90.8 and more power on the way as he grows into his 5-foot-10, 164.9-pound frame. Great BP round from Garcia as he was rocking them out with an all fields approach using twitchy hands and fast hips through the zone. He is excellent at short with smooth hands and strong arm topping at 87 with so much more left. Garcia is already putting up eye-popping numbers as his ceiling continues to grow.

2029 Class

Jacob Dockter, 1B, 2029, Mount Vernon
“Barrel-city” is a term I refer to often when watching Dockter as it was business as usual across Top Prospect Games. Physical 5-foot-11, 188-pounds with an immense feel to hit and power is catching up in a hurry. Started the day by clocking at a 7.17 60-yd time. Hammered baseballs to the pull-side in a potent round of BP as he produced a max 98.6 and an average 95.1 exit velocities. Showed significant carry to the pull-side as he finished the round with a max distance of 388ft. Reached base twice during gameplay as he sent a rocket back up-the-middle for a hard-hit single. Stays well-connected through the hanging load with excellent balance through the zone. Shows fast hands with innate barrel feel and accuracy alike with real impact out front. Quality defender at 1B as well with fluid footwork in the dirt and arm strength present ( 85 IF Velo). Doctor continues to make strides in each aspect of his game with every look we see him and plenty more still to come.

Felix Joiner, SS, 2029, Maynard
It was a strong freshman campaign for Joiner who continues to make strides in his game heading into the summer. Wiry strength in the lean 5-foot-10, 150-pound frame with athleticism littered throughout. Sprayed the ball over the yard with carry to both gaps in a consistent round of BP. Generated a max 93.3 and an average 85.1 exit velocities with a max distance of 349ft.. Well-connected RH cut with loose hands & creates excellent length in-zone for loft at contact. Came through with a pull-side knock in-game as well. Advanced defender in the dirt with bouncy, fluid footwork that allows for lateral quickness and soft hands to match. Arm strength has a chance to be a carrying tool long-term as he posted the event’s 2nd best IF velo at 91 MPH. The profile continues to grow for Joiner and a breakout seems to be well under way.

Jack Shapiro, 1B/RHP, 2029, North Atlanta
Jack had a great day throughout the events. Where he shined the most was BP and gameplay. The lefty showed off his ability to be a gap hitter, showing he could pull the ball and hit oppo. A lot of loud barrels for the kid when he was hitting, great hand speed shown in all his BP to get his barrel to the ball. He was also showing his ability to square up the ball all over the plate. In game-play today he went 1 for 2, had some great cuts. Was able to square one up and drive it oppo to drive in 2 RBI’s, also was able to bring the hips through to generate that power for the AB. An athletic build standing at 6-foot and 168 with some speed as well. The 29’ is impressive and will continue to make some strides over the summer and keep raising his ceiling as he continues.

Eli Rice, SS/OF, 2029, North Oconee
Rice had a solid day throughout the event and showed well on both sides of the ball. At the plate, he displayed quiet actions with good bat-to-ball skills and the ability to use the entire field. He put together a strong round of BP, staying within himself while driving line drives to the opposite field. His swing features a direct path through the zone, allowing him to stay under control and consistently find the barrel. In game action, he put together competitive at-bats, highlighted by his first plate appearance when he worked a deep count and lined a base hit to the opposite field. Defensively, he showed good actions, moving well while getting the ball out quickly with accuracy. Rice recorded a max exit velocity of 92.7 MPH and found the barrel multiple times. He consistently competed throughout the day and showed the feel to impact the game in a variety of ways.

Austen Kitchings, MIF, 2029, Hebron
Kitchings standing at 5-foot-9, 172 pounds, showcased all five tools today at the showcase. He started the day out on his 60-yard dash where he ran a blazing 6.49 with a 1.60 10-yard split. He would also do the vertical jump where he would jump a 29.3. Kitchings would then move on to fielding where he would look very smooth at middle in positions. He would look very fluent and controlled with throwing across the diamond and turning double plays. In Kitchings’ BP round he would hit a max EV of 96.3 and strong gap-to-gap power and solid approach. In the showcase game, he would put together multiple strong ABs with constantly battling off pitches and not chasing at balls in the dirt. Kitchings’ showcased all 5-tools and looks forward to a promising summer and high school seasons.

Quinn Schneider, 2029, 3B/RHP, River Ridge
Schneider was all around impressive today working as a 3B. In his game look, Schneider had a rocket into left field meeting a low pitch out front for a loud single and took good overall at bats all day. In his BP round he showed an advanced middle to opposite field approach consistently hitting line drives showing off gap to gap power with the ball jumping off the bat. Schneider also looked the part at 3B making a couple nice plays out there and holding down the hot corner. At the plate, he has an athletic posture with a balanced setup keeping it relatively simple. His swing is built for loft and back spin paired with quick hands creating a fun pairing. Schneider will be a name to watch as he progresses through the summer circuit and beyond.

JB Nichols, 3B/RHP, 2029, Cartersville
Nichols started off with a 7.32 60 coming from a larger 6-foot-3, 209-pound frame showing off his athleticism. The ball carries off his barrel with a max of 95.3 EV. Nichols fires his hands from a simple strided base as his bat speed continues to show plus upside. Nichols’ hands are full of rhythm dancing with the pitcher as he extends the barrel through the zone staying on plane with pitches longer. INF velo reached 82 with excellent fielding fundamentals working through the ball. Nichols’ infield velo will reach plus upside but it is just a matter of time as he has shown the ability to put up raw numbers in other parts of his game.

Rawson Croggon, 3B/RHP, 2029, Westminster
Croggon showed out during the Top Prospect Games. He showed the ability for quality jumps on the bases with a 10-yd split of 1.65. During BP, he worked gap to gap maxing out at 97.9 EV while the barrel showed up consistently pushing an AVG 90.6 EV. Croggon has a simple setup working the hands back while striding out creating maximum separation letting the hands fire through staying on plane forever. The raw power in Croggon continues to show as his numbers continue to skyrocket. Croggon’s arm is still developing from the INF as he topped out at 81 but there is still a lot of time as he is still filling out the 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame. Watch out for Croggon to have a breakout summer.

Myles Rahm, 3B/C, 2029, Alpharetta
Rahm is an exciting young player to watch as he is already putting up prospect numbers at such a young age. Rahm ran a 6.8 60 while showing off the ability to get the down with a 1.61 10-yd split. He showed off his potent offensive ability barreling balls 100% of the time off the sweet spot with a max EV of 95.6 and an AVG EV of 91.6. He creates those numbers by staying balanced in the swing and working up through the ball in his swing path while letting the ball get deep and smoke it wherever it is in the zone. Rahm has an excellent INF arm maxing out at 87 and has the ability to read hops with strong throws across the diamond. Rahm has a strong package and time to grow more into his 6-foot-1, 168-pound frame raising his ceiling even more.
