2026 Season Wrap-Up
The 2026 North Carolina high school baseball season began with preseason workouts in mid-February, gained momentum as the full game schedule opened in early March, and closed in early June with 12 state champions crowned across the NCHSAA and NCISAA classifications.
Throughout the spring, Prep Baseball scouts covered the state through game looks, daily scores, player notes, and Power 25 updates. The final rankings reflect the complete body of work from the 2026 season, including regular-season success, strength of schedule, postseason performance, and state championship results.
State Champions Crowned
The postseason delivered several high-level championship series across North Carolina, with teams finishing their seasons on the biggest stage.

- 8A: Providence defeated Corinth Holders
- 7A: Marvin Ridge defeated Holly Springs
- 6A: Southern Lee defeated South Caldwell
- 5A: North Lincoln defeated Seaforth
- 4A: Bunn defeated Burns
- 3A: Whiteville defeated East Rutherford
- 2A: Rosewood defeated Cherryville
- 1A: NC Leadership Academy defeated Bear Grass Charter
NCISAA State Champions
- 4A: Charlotte Christian defeated Metrolina Christian Academy
- 3A: Grace Christian defeated High Point Christian
- 2A: Faith Christian defeated Burlington Christian
- 1A: Crossroads Christian defeated Lawrence Academy
Power 25 Storylines
The final Power 25 is led by Charlotte Christian, which claims the No. 1 spot after winning the NCISAA 4A state championship and closing the season at 28-7. The Knights played one of the toughest schedules in the state and finished the year by taking down Metrolina Christian Academy in the championship series.
Providence finishes at No. 2 after a dominant 32-2 season and an NCHSAA 8A state championship. The Panthers were one of the most consistent teams in North Carolina from start to finish, capping their year with a championship series win over Corinth Holders.
DH Conley holds the No. 3 spot after spending much of the season at the top of the rankings. The Vikings finished 23-3 and remained one of the most complete teams in the state.
At No. 4, Marvin Ridge made one of the biggest postseason statements of the year, closing at 24-11 after winning the NCHSAA 7A state championship over Holly Springs. Myers Park rounds out the Top 5 after a strong 24-6 campaign, reaching the NCHSAA 8A West Regional Final.
State champions Grace Christian, North Lincoln, Southern Lee also land inside the final Power 25, while finalists such as Corinth Holders, Holly Springs, Metrolina Christian Academy, South Caldwell and others earned their place through deep postseason runs.
