Florida 2027 Rankings: Post-Spring Update

OF Jake Cueto, Belen Jesuit, Miami recruit

Cueto has continued to trend upward. A strong 2025 led him to being selected for the 2025 Future Games and an eventual commitment to Miami. He backed that up with another strong 2026 so far, where he hit .479 as a junior. Cueto is a sub-6.6 runner who patrols center field at an extremely high level. His bat-to-ball skills should intrigue pro scouts this summer.

SS Alex Smith, North Broward Prep, Florida State recruit

Smith made a name for himself this spring with a big year at North Borward Prep that featured a run to the State Final. Smith led his team in hitting at a .384 clip. He has shown the ability to handle velo while staying back on breaking balls. His athleticism plays on all sides of the field with an above-average glove and arm at short. His left-handed hitting shortstop profile will be one to continue following ahead of next year’s draft.

OF/1B Griffin Boesen, Jesuit, Duke recruit

Boesen was a big addition to Jesuit this spring and was a key catalyst to their State Championship run. 6’5” 210 lb frame, batted .415 this spring and was a run producer throughout the playoffs. Boesen has a left-handed power profile, which is often sought after. He will need to cut down the strikeout numbers to continue his charge as one of the top power bats in this class.

RHP Chanwoo Park, IMG Academy, Uncommitted

After starting the season on their second team, Park asserted himself as the ace of IMG’s National Team by midseason. He pitched well in big games, including a win over 3A State Champion South Walton. His fastball is 88-90 right now, but his ability to tunnel his pitches is what makes him a tough AB. He throws a sinking fastball and a sweeping breaking ball and generates swings and misses and soft ground balls. He competes at high level with a wide arsenal of pitches and movement with control of the zone. Park is one of the top uncommitted arms to monitor this summer.
