On Wednesday, June 10th, the PB Texas staff traveled to McLennan Community College in Waco, TX, to host the Waco Summer ID, an open event for all high school classes.

Players made their way to McLennan CC and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

We have already released a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting the top statistical performers. Today, we will provide our scouting takeaways on some of the prospects who stood out throughout the event.

Hudson Brown | OF | China Spring | 2028 | 6'0" 200
Athletic OF with a strong frame and plus runner traits, posting a 6.79 sixty. Speed translates on the field, showing range in the OF with solid actions and the ability to cover ground. Arm strength is present with carry to the ball, posting 86 mph from the OF. At the plate, shows a balanced swing with a knee lift load, present bat speed, and the ability to stay through the baseball, producing exit velocities up to 100.9 mph.

Casen Conlon | C | Lorena | 2028 | 6'0" 193
Strong catching profile with a great frame and build that should continue to add strength. Behind the plate, posted 74 mph velo with 2.08 to 2.19 pop times and has room to improve with direction adjustments. At the plate, stays inside the ball well with consistent gap to gap pop and the ability to get the barrel out. Shows offensive upside with exit velocities up to 96.8 mph and a profile that should continue to play behind the plate.

Boston Cox | SS | Lovejoy | 2028 | 5'11" 175
Athletic build with a chance to become a plus runner as the body continues to mature, posting a 7.08 sixty. On the dirt, shows quick feet, solid actions, and a compact arm path with a quick exchange, posting 83 mph across the INF. At the plate, shows some bat speed with quick hands and the ability to turn the barrel. Solid middle INF follow with athletic traits, defensive actions, and sneaky offensive upside.

Max Deem | 3B/1B | Liberty Christian | 2028 | 5'11" 190
Solid build for the age group with some present strength and athleticism, moving well for the size with a 7.02 sixty. Defensively, shows developing actions in the INF with solid arm strength, posting 80 mph across the diamond. At the plate, shows bat speed and strength while staying behind the ball well. Swing has some Lance Berkman traits with right handed feel, leverage, and offensive upside from a corner profile.

Colton Green | 3B/SS | Georgetown | 2027 | 6'1" 197
Physical athlete with a great build and real athleticism, posting a 6.68 sixty. On the dirt, the feet work well and he plays through the baseball with rhythm, showing a quick release and solid arm strength up to 84 mph across the INF. At the plate, shows real bat speed with the ability to stay inside the ball and spin it well. Loud offensive profile with consistent pop, barrel accuracy, and exit velocities up to 104.1 mph.
