Power 25 Update

Wisconsin Scouting Staff

Today we’re updating the Prep Baseball Wisconsin Power 25 Rankings once again as the regular season winds down. This was an eventful week which made for some volatility up and down the rankings, as two teams exited the top-25 which made way for two new teams to climb into the Power 25, one for the time this season, led by new No. 22 Cedar Grove-Belgium.

WIAA HEADLINES

Let’s break down the movement inside our latest Power 25 update of 2026.

THE TOP-5

+ Muskego (21-4): The Warriors have maintained their top spot for the better part of a month rattling off a 16-game win streak since the end of April. Securing top seed in the Westosha Sectional on top of it and will face off against the winner between Waterford and South Milwaukee.

+ Germantown (26-0): After finishing the regular season a perfect 26-0 the Warhawks secured the top seed in the Manitowoc Lincoln sectional where they are slated to face the winner of Shyboygan North and Mantitowoc Lincoln.

+ Kimberly (20-2): After a long and competitive conference season the Papermakers are once again one of the top teams in the WIAA, going 17-1 in the Fox Valley Association which was perhaps the most competitive conference in D1 this spring. Looking ahead the path to Appleton doesn’t get any easier with a number of FVA inside the Kimberly sectional on top of some of the top teams from the Fox River Classic conference.

+ Hudson (21-3): The Raiders have stayed inside our top-5 since its initial debut going 21-3 on the year with one of the tougher slates on non-conference games in the WIAA. Earning the No. 1 spot in the Chippewa Falls sectional, the Raiders will look to make another run to Appleton starting on Thursday against the winner of New Richmond and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln.

+ Bay Port (22-3): The Pirates were undisputed Fox River Classic conference champs wrapping up the regular season with a 22-3 record while earning the top spot in the Kimberly sectional where they face the winner of Preble and Appleton North.

RISERS

+ West Bend West (22-1): The Spartans jumped up three spots in this update after wins over New Berlin Eisenhower 5-2 and Nicolet 8-1, and are winners of five straight heading into the playoffs while earning the No. 2 seed in the Manitowoc Lincoln sectional.

+ Chippewa Falls (21-5): The Cardinals haven’t lost since May and are winners of 15 straight heading into the post season and could be one of the hottest teams in the WIAA heading into playoffs. Earning the No. 2 and the bye and will matchup against the winner of Menomonie and Marshfield as they host a sectional.

+ Verona Area (19-7): The Wildcats came out the undisputed conference champions after a busy last two weeks in the Big Eight conference picking up two victories over Madison West 8-3 and 5-3 all the while earning the No. 2 seed in the La Crosse Central sectional.

+ Kewaunee (25-0): The Storm continues to brew as two-way Brett Paulsen (2026; Wisconsin-Parkside) turn in strong outings every time he toes the rubber. It’s a quality roster even at the D3 level after going a perfect 25-0 on the regular season and will look to make another trip to Appleton this spring.

+ Kewaskum (17-6-1): The Indians are finishing off the regular season hot, boasting a record of 10-0-1 in their last 11 games, including their most recent 7-1 victory against Cedar-Grove Belgium, where they leaned on a combined three-hit masterpiece from Cole Loser (2027; Uncommitted) and Marcus Perondi (2027; Uncommitted). With a team OPS of 0.879, the Indians have the potential to make some noise come playoffs.

WELCOME (BACK)…

+ Fond du Lac (16-8): The Fond du Lac Cardinals enter the Power 25 after finishing the regular season having won eight of their last nine games. This past week, the Cardinals would collect two wins in closely played games, the first of which against Appleton North, where Gavin Suprenand (2026; Uncommitted) provided the heavy lifting on offense, collecting three hits, scoring three times, and driving in two. Later in the week against Appleton West, it was senior backstop Jack Brenner (2026; Oklahoma commit) who provided a spark in the lineup, going 2-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in.

+ Neenah (17-9): The Rockets finish off their season winning two games against worthy opponents this past week. First against Appleton North, where the Neenah lineup produced 11 runs on 10 hits, while drawing eight walks and only striking out three times. Later against Whitefish Bay, Gus Weinholzer (2026; Uncommitted) spearheaded this Rockets offense, collecting four hits in as many at bats while driving in three runs en route to a 9-3 victory.

+ Stratford (23-1): The Tigers enter the Power 25 after looking the part of one of the top D3 teams in the state picking up a quality non-conference win over another top Wittenburg-Birnamwood D3 teams in the state. Sophomore Christian Rehm (2028) was nails on the mound in the win against Wittenberg-Birnamwood, allowing only one run on two hits while striking out an impressive 12 batters in five innings of work. To cap off a 12 game winning streak, the Tigers would then go on to outmatch Pittsville in a 13-10 slug fest in which the Stratford offense produced 14 hits as a team including two doubles and home runs from Jack Remus (2026; Uncommitted) and Jaegar Ormond (2026; Uncommitted).
