Goochland 9, Louisa County 6
The heavily favored Goochland Bulldogs trailed 3–0 in the top of the fourth before erupting for eight runs in the bottom half, giving them all the cushion they needed. Freshman Chase Hicks had another strong showing, reaching base in all four plate appearances with two hits and two walks. Goochland held onto the lead from there, securing a 9-6 win in a sloppy game that featured its fair share of errors and runs scored on wild pitches.

Freedom (South Riding) 9, Briar Woods 5
The first few innings of this one saw a lot of traffic on the bases, with sixteen runners reaching in the first three full innings. It was not until the third inning that anyone scratched a run across, as Freedom struck first on a JW Valentini single. Briar Woods came out swinging in the bottom of the third. Max Henry (Shenandoah), Liam Heffernan (McDaniel), and Cole Harris provided back to back to back hits to tie it up at 2-2. Heffernan would strike again in the fourth, providing a 4-2 lead for starter Dani Jensen. The Falcons would keep the lead until the sixth, but Freedom would make a run, scoring four runs on a few singles and a pair of walks, with Daniel Lee tying the game and then Ian Choi driving in the go-ahead runs. Briar Woods answered with one in the bottom half, but Freedom would hold their lead and even extend it by a few more in the seventh on a hit and a few miscues.

#2 St. Paul VI 7, #8 Bishop O'Connell 5
WCAC Championship Game 1
Game one of the WCAC Championship between two of the top ten teams in the state was electric. The Bishop O’Connell Knights made a statement on the second pitch of the game, with ‘26 Bryant James (Virginia) demolishing a solo shot. The Paul VI Panthers would tie the game in the second via a sac-fly from ‘26 Ryan Vaxmonsky. However in the third, O’Connell would take the lead right back after a two-out rally ending in a two-run home run from ‘26 Chaz Walker. ‘26 Thomas Jewett (Radford) would add one back in the third for the Panthers on an RBI double, making it 4-2 Knights after three frames. O’Connell would add another in the fourth on a bases-loaded HBP before ‘26 Lucas Driscoll rolled a double play to limit the Knights from adding on further. In the bottom of the fifth, Paul VI would strike, putting together a string of four singles and two walks to tie the game at 5-5. Then in the bottom of the sixth, ‘28 Ryan Bahr and ‘26 Aiden Gallagher (James Madison) would deliver RBI singles to give the Panthers a 7-5 lead. Driscoll would then pitch around some two-out traffic to shut the door on a Paul VI win. On the mound, Driscoll delivered 3.2 scoreless frames and Bahr competed through 3IP for the Panthers. For the Knights, ‘26 Shota Fogus (Richmond) struck out 8 in 4.2IP and ‘27 Walker McElwain tallied three hits.

#20 Jefferson Forest 7, EC Glass 1
Jefferson Forest Cavaliers jumped out to an early lead with three first-inning runs, highlighted by a two-run triple from junior catcher Parker Deaner. The Cavaliers would never look back in a 7–1 win over E.C. Glass. The Cavaliers added insurance late, while a combined effort on the mound from ’26 Travis McLaughlin (Walters State) and ’28 Isaac Elder held the Hilltoppers to just four hits throughout the game. McLaughlin threw four strong innings, recording eight strikeouts while allowing only two hits.

A clean 4IP in the start, FB working best on the top half with some run, 85-87. Feel for SL early and often, 75-78. Scoreless in the outing and picked up 8k’s.

#3 St. Anne's-Belfield 13, Woodberry Forest 3
Woodberry Forest jumped out early in the top of the first with three runs. Maddox Helsley and Aaron Long created a spark at the top of the order with back to back doubles to start the game. The Saints answered back and took advantage of free passes. Mike Poncy and Davis Raymond added home runs to the run support of the Saints on the night. Waylon Ammons (Richmond) and Trevor Almond handled business on the mound and held the Tigers to three runs in the win.
