On Tuesday, May 26th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Trinity High School in Euless, TX, to host the North TX Rising Stars Games, an invite-only event for classes of 2030 & 2031.

More than 20 players made their way to Trinity HS and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

We have already released a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting the top statistical performers. Today, we will provide our scouting takeaways on some of the prospects who stood out throughout the event.

Plus athlete with a great frame and plenty of room to add strength. Ran a 6.73 60-yard dash and projects as a future plus runner with even more speed to come. Moves well in the outfield with accurate throws and projects for a plus arm. Bat speed is present with the ability to barrel the baseball for hard contact. Developing approach with plenty of upside. One to watch.

Dylan Smith | OF/INF | New Diana | 2030 | 6'1" 172
Outstanding frame with plenty of room for added strength. Ran a blazing 6.54 60-yard dash and covers ground effortlessly in the outfield while showing developing actions on the infield. Projects for above-average high school arm strength. Bat speed is present with consistent hard contact off the barrel, and the offensive approach will continue to improve. A high-upside player to follow.

Beck Boyd | 1B | Borden County | 2030 | 6'2" 230
Strong, physical build with room to continue adding strength and a country-strong profile for his age. Left-handed hitter who already shows the ability to impact the baseball, with a swing that works and a developing offensive approach. Projects as a corner infielder with improving defensive actions and moves well for his size. An intriguing young bat to monitor.

Thomas (Davis) Sheen | INF | Lubbock Cooper | 2030 | 6'1" 173
Projectable athlete with an excellent frame built for future strength. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash and projects as a plus runner. Showed solid infield actions with range, body control, and the ability to make plays on the move while flashing carry across the diamond. Produced hard contact off the barrel with a developing approach at the plate. A 2030 prospect worth following over the next several years.
