2026 Summer ID: High Point - Leaderboards, Notes & Analysis
The 2026 Summer ID: High Point continued Prep Baseball North Carolina's summer showcase series, providing players with an opportunity to update their profiles while positioning themselves for future state, regional, and national events. Hosted on Tuesday, June 16th at High Point University, the event brought together players from across the state in a data-driven environment designed to evaluate talent and track player development.
The day opened with offensive evaluations as hitters went through multiple rounds of batting practice with TrackMan technology capturing batted ball data and BLAST Motion providing additional swing analytics. Players also completed jump testing and had access to Vizual Edge evaluations, adding another layer of athletic and visual performance data to their player profiles.
Following the offensive workout, players moved into defensive evaluations where the Prep Baseball scouting staff assessed athletic actions, footwork, hands, arm strength, and overall defensive ability. Running metrics were collected using VALD Athletics laser technology, recording both 10-yard split times and 60-yard dash times to measure explosiveness and overall speed.
The event concluded with controlled bullpen sessions for pitchers and catchers. Using TrackMan technology, Prep Baseball collected advanced pitch metrics and movement profiles while providing additional video and data that will be added to each player's profile.
The Summer ID series serves as an important part of the evaluation process for Prep Baseball, helping identify players for future state teams and marquee events while giving college coaches and professional scouts updated access to statistics, analytics, video, and scouting reports throughout a player's high school career.
Over the coming days, Prep Baseball NC will release statistical leaderboards, scouting notes, and player reports highlighting the top performers from the event.

Traditionally, the 60-yard dash has been the in-event standard to help measure a player's speed tool. We implemented three timing gates at the 10- and 30-yard splits, to capture athletes’ quickness, explosiveness and reaction time. From there, we will calculate an athlete’s top-end speed in miles per hour. While the measurement still has its utility, the 10-yard split has started to become more and more applicable in determining the player's burst and reaction time in-game, whether that's in the outfield or on the basepaths.
