Senior Future Games: North Carolina Players Standout at Workout Day
July 22, 2026

Senior Future Games: The Premier Showcase for Uncommitted 2027 Prospects
Each year, LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Georgia, hosts the most significant uncommitted scouting event in the nation: Future Games week. While the overarching event features emerging talent across multiple age groups—including the Future Games for 2028 graduates and the Junior Future Games for 2030 and 2031 graduates—July 21st and 22nd are distinctly reserved for the Senior Future Games.
This premier showcase brings together the top uncommitted student-athletes from the Class of 2027 nationwide. Over the course of the two-day event, players are evaluated through a comprehensive pro-style workout, followed by a highly competitive three-game series. Among the distinguished rosters in attendance is Team Carolina, which unites top-tier uncommitted talent from both North Carolina and South Carolina.
The exposure provided by the Senior Future Games is unparalleled in amateur baseball. The previous year's event drew an attendance of over 450 college coaches, and initial figures from Day 1 indicate that this year's turnout has already matched, if not exceeded, that milestone. For these prospects, the event presents a critical opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and metrics directly in front of the nation's collegiate decision-makers.
Team Carolina Workout Day Recap: Elite Metrics and Advanced Analytics at LakePoint
On Tuesday afternoon, Team Carolina officially took the field at LakePoint Sports for their highly anticipated pro-style workout. Composed of the top uncommitted Class of 2027 prospects from North and South Carolina, the squad underwent a rigorous, data-driven evaluation process designed to showcase their physical tools and baseline metrics to the hundreds of college coaches in attendance.
The comprehensive showcase provided a detailed look at the roster's tools, combining traditional scouting methods with industry-leading player development technology.
The Evaluation Process
The workout day was structured to capture a holistic athletic profile for every player on the roster, broken down into four primary phases:
- Speed & Baserunning: The session opened with laser-timed 60-yard dashes, providing coaches with precise, objective speed metrics.
- Offensive Evaluation: Hitters transitioned to the batting cages for introductory work before taking live batting practice (BP) on the field. Swing mechanics and bat tracking were captured using BLAST Motion, while ball-flight data—including launch angles and exit velocities—was tracked live by TrackMan.
- Defensive Reps: Players moved to their primary defensive positions to showcase their footwork, fielding mechanics, and arm strength. Scouts captured high-definition video while grading defensive actions, arm strength, and recording pop times for catchers.
- Athletic Testing: The day concluded with advanced athletic performance testing. Evaluators utilized force plates to measure ground force production, along with vertical jump testing, grip strength assessments, and additional biometrics.
