TUSCALOOSA, AL - The 2026 Summer ID Tour made its penultimate stop on Tuesday, July 7th as Prep Baseball Alabama traveled to Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa, AL for the Tuscaloosa Summer ID and Tuscaloosa Rising Stars ID. The event featured prospects from the 2027-2032 graduating classes who participated in a full day of evaluations and data collection in front of the Prep Baseball Alabama staff.
Attendees participated in a pro-style workout that included laser-timed 60-yard dashes using VALD Performance gates, batting practice with TrackMan technology, and defensive evaluations with arm strength metrics recorded at each position. The event served as an early summer opportunity for players to update their profiles, collect verified data, and showcase their tools heading into a busy summer schedule. In addition to collecting valuable data, players were also evaluated for some of Prep Baseball's premier national events, including the Senior Future Games (2027s), Future Games (2028s), Southeast Super Sophomore Games (2029s), and Junior Future Games (2030-2031s).
In this Quick Hits article, we spotlight several standout performers from the event, providing brief scouting notes and observations from their workouts while highlighting some of the metrics that helped separate them on Tuesday.

The profile and ceiling continue to climb for Garcia, who turned in the top pitching performance of the event and earned an invite to the Senior Future Games as a result. The athletic, projectable southpaw stands at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds and continues to trend upward each time our staff sees him. Garcia sat 87-90 mph and topped at 90.5 mph with the fastball, showing quality arm-side command while producing spin rates in the 2400-2500 RPM range. He paired it with a sweeping 74-77 mph slider that showed quality tunnel off the fastball and the ability to land it to both sides of the plate, while also turning over an 80-81 mph changeup that projects as a quality third offering. The stuff was loud, but equally impressive was Garcia's ability to consistently flood the strike zone with all three pitches. A talented multi-sport athlete, Garcia is also a standout on the basketball court.
The impact was on full display from Quinley, one of the top uncommitted catching prospects in the state, as he repeatedly hammered triple-digit exit velocities to the pull-side gap throughout BP. The physical 5-foot-10, 195-pound backstop generates easy strength from the frame and delivers premium bat speed on a mostly level path through contact. There is real heaviness to the barrel with clear power and run-producing traits in the offensive profile. Defensively, Quinley showcased a strong arm behind the plate, reaching 79 mph with pop times ranging from 2.00-2.05 seconds, while also showing quality athleticism with a 7.15-second 60-yard dash. He recorded multiple triple-digit exit velocities during his round, highlighted by a peak mark of 105.2 mph.
After standing out throughout the spring while hitting leadoff for a talented Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa club, Hardin backed up the in-game production with an impressive showing in his first Prep Baseball showcase. The athletic 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect possesses a strongly built frame with proportional strength and operates with plenty of rhythm from the left side of the plate. He consistently showed quality bat-to-ball skills and a hit tool capable of spraying contact to all fields. Hardin also showcased his defensive versatility, leading the event with pop times ranging from 1.88-1.92 seconds while reaching 80 mph from behind the plate, and he has the speed and athleticism to handle all three outfield spots as well. The left-handed bat and ability to impact the game at multiple positions create plenty of value in the profile, and he also offers upside on the mound after working in the mid-to-upper 80s this spring.
One of the top two-way prospects in Alabama's rising junior class, Mitchell continues to show why he's regarded so highly despite currently being sidelined on the mound and working his way back to full strength. The switch-hitting 6-foot, 180-pound prospect possesses quality strength and athleticism throughout the frame and remains capable of making a major impact offensively. Mitchell shows quiet, clean actions from both sides of the plate and utilizes a level path through contact that has already translated against high-level competition, particularly during the spring season. He consistently uses the entire field with developing power potential, running a 6.98-second 60-yard dash and posting a 98.3 mph exit velocity during BP.
Nunnally has made noticeable strides with his stuff over the past few months and still appears to be far from reaching his ceiling. The athletic 6-foot, 175-pound southpaw possesses a projectable frame with room to continue adding strength and works with a clean, repeatable operation on the mound. Coming from a high three-quarter slot, Nunnally showcased a quality three-pitch mix, sitting 84-85 mph and topping at 85.2 mph with the fastball. He paired it with a 75-76 mph slider that showed quality horizontal action and bite, while also turning over a 75-76 mph changeup with fading arm-side action. The combination of present stuff, pitchability, and projection makes him an intriguing follow moving forward.
Killian continues to show pound-for-pound some of the best raw power in the state, once again showcasing the impact traits that helped him stand out at the Yellowhammer State Games last month. The strongly built 5-foot-10, 190-pound backstop possesses a physical left-handed bat with the power tool serving as the carrying trait in the profile. He hits from a narrow, upright setup and utilizes a controlled medium leg kick for timing before turning the barrel with real intent to create damage to the pull side. The ball jumps off the bat when squared up, as Killian posted a 102.7 mph exit velocity after reaching north of 105 mph at the State Games in June. He pairs the offensive impact with solid defensive skills behind the plate, ran a 7.14-second 60-yard dash, and remains one of the more under-the-radar uncommitted catchers in Alabama's 2027 class.
Rackard continues to prove himself as one of the more dependable right-handed bats in the state, building a strong track record of in-game production against quality competition where the hit tool consistently shines. The strongly built 6-foot, 198-pound prospect profiles well at third base and continues to show advanced barrel skills at the plate. He utilizes a toe-tap trigger and consistently gets on time with quiet hands in the load before firing them through the zone on a clean, compact path that allows him to square the baseball up with regularity. Rackard shows an excellent feel for the sweet spot and works with an all-fields approach that should continue to develop into more power as he matures physically. He posted a 96.1 mph exit velocity during BP and also showed two-way ability by topping at 85.2 mph on the mound.
England continues to show serious thump in the right-handed bat and profiles as a middle-of-the-order run producer moving forward. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound first baseman generates premium bat speed and whip through the zone, allowing him to impact the baseball with authority when he gets the barrel out front. He works from a square, balanced setup with a simple load and delivers the barrel on an uphill path geared for damage to the pull side. England ran a 7.09-second 60-yard dash and posted a top exit velocity of 103.0 mph during BP.
McGruder is a twitchy, athletic prospect who saw quality playing time at the 7A level as a sophomore this spring and looks poised to continue trending upward over the coming years. The 5-foot-7, 150-pound infielder possesses plenty of athleticism and quick-twitch actions that impact the game in multiple ways. Offensively, he showcased a line-drive approach throughout BP and consistently produced quality contact to all parts of the field with impressive barrel control. The athleticism is a major part of the profile, as McGruder led the event with a blazing 6.71-second 60-yard dash while also posting a 97.6 mph exit velocity during the workout.
Downs appears to be the next high-level shortstop to emerge from a Bibb County program that has produced several quality next-level prospects in recent years. In his first Prep Baseball showcase, the rising freshman hardly looked his age after already establishing himself as a consistent performer throughout summer tournament action at River Run Park. The athletic, projectable 5-foot-10, 165-pound infielder showcased the advanced skills and verified data to back up the early buzz surrounding his game. Offensively, Downs works with simple actions and an early stride that allows him to get on time consistently before firing a quick barrel through the zone. He capped off the workout with an 89.9 mph exit velocity and continues to look like a quality follow in Alabama's 2030 class.
Molette possesses the physicality and build that immediately catches your attention behind the plate and continues to trend as an intriguing young catching prospect in Alabama's 2029 class. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound backstop features a strong, durable lower half and is built like a prototypical catcher. Offensively, he showcased impressive pull-side power with a heavy barrel that works on a strong uphill path and projects for even more impact as he continues to develop. Molette consistently produced loud contact during BP with a clean, balanced left-handed swing, posting a peak exit velocity of 100.4 mph. He also showed quality catch-and-throw traits with pop times ranging from 2.04-2.07 seconds and a catcher velocity of 77 mph.

Browning was one of the top younger players in attendance and showcased the type of two-way skill set that demands close attention over the next few years. The 5-foot-8, 140-pound prospect still has plenty of room for physical maturation, but the athleticism and feel for the game already stand out. Offensively, the left-handed hitter works with an early leg kick that settles into a toe-tap trigger while creating good coil and lag through the swing on a clean uphill path. The swing syncs up well, stays on the backside effectively, and consistently produces line-drive contact to all fields. On the mound, Browning showed a clean left-handed operation with feel for spin, running the fastball up to 79.5 mph with plenty of intriguing components still to come. He also carries himself with an impressive level of confidence for a rising freshman and will be a name to monitor closely moving forward.
