On Friday, June 5th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Weatherford High School in Weatherford, TX, to host the 2026 DFW Twins Scout Day, an exclusive event for members of the DFW Twins program.

More than 145 players made their way to Weatherford HS and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

We have already released a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting the top statistical performers. Today, we will provide our scouting takeaways on some of the prospects who stood out throughout the event.

Athletic with build/frame to add strength. 6.51 60, speed plays on the bases. Athletic defender in CF with plus range, can run ball down in gaps. Raw arm strength present with carry to throws. Line drive contact with ability to get to gaps for extra base hits. Player who has now tools to contribute.

Frame/build to add future strength. 2-way player. Repeats delivery, arm works with no problems. FB worked 91-92, touched 93 showing some carry up, tailing action. Feel for CB present with finish. SL flashed action with 2300+ spin. Change with tailing action.
Steady defender in OF, carry to throws. Swing works with ability to barrel baseball, hard contact, can leave ballpark to pull side. Solid AB’s in game. Player to watch develop.

Beckham Whiteside | RHP/1B | Greenwood | 2027 | Texas Tech Commit | R/R | 6'5" 225
Big, physical build. Arm works with arm speed present. FB 88-90, strike thrower, carry to FB. Look for velocity increase. Blended breaking ball 76-80, varies action.
Actions developing around the bag at 1st. Ability to impact baseball showing power to pull side in BP. Pitch over hit at this time.

David Ellington | LHP/1B | Brewer | 2027 | Houston Commit | L/L | 6'3" 215
Solid build with ability to add. Semi-compact arm circle, works well showing developing arm speed. FB 90-92, will increase. SL 80-81 feel for action present. Struggled with command.
Actions developing at 1st. Hit approach present, can leave to pull side. Swing works.

Roan Mohan | RHP | Burleson Centennial | 2027 | R/R | 6'4" 210
Projects well physically. Arm works well with arm speed. FB 88-90 with tail/sink, look for velocity jump. CB 74-75 mainly ¾ tilt action, 2300+ spin. Developing change. Pitcher who will continue to develop. I can see him making a jump by next spring.

Graham Hardin | RHP | Coronado | 2027 | Texas Tech Commit | R/R | 6'2" 190
Great build/frame to add strength. Lower slot release, arm works with arm quickness present. FB 90-92 with sink down, showed ability to elevate with success. Sweep/slurvy breaking ball 79-81. Turnover change, 84-85.

Kason Jones | 3B | Trinity Christian | 2027 | R/R | 6'1" 190
Solid build, will add strength. Developing actions, will have versatility on the infield. Solid hit approach with ability to get barrel to baseball for consistent contact of sweet spot. Power will develop, expect to have pull side ability to leave yard, gaps for extra bases.

Athletic, will add strength. 6.68 60, speed/quickness plays on bases and running down balls in gaps. Looking for raw arm strength to improve. Shows bat speed, ability to impact baseball in BP. Hit approach developing. Player with athleticism/tools, will develop, solid contact in game play.

Frame/build to add strength. Athleticism present, 6.9 60. Actions on defense present, carry across, raw arm strength will continue to develop. Shows developing bat speed, hard contact in game play. Player to watch.

Will add increased strength and size. Athleticism present, 7.16 60, projects to be plus runner in future. Actions on defense present, can pick it. Carry present to throws. Solid hit approach, impact will come with added strength and maturity. Player to watch develop.

Gavin Roberts | CF | Midland | 2029 | L/L | 6'0" 175
Athleticism with great frame/build to add strength. 6.97 60, plus runner in future. Solid defender in OF showing range. Raw arm strength will develop. Solid contact off barrel with hit approach developing. Solid tools developing.

Athletic, plus runner, projects well physically. Solid hit approach with hard contact off barrel. Moves well in OF, showing range. Tools to develop, athlete.

Long and lanky. Arm works. Showed athleticism on the infield at times. FB 81-84. Developing feel for secondary. Projection RHP with big upside.

Solid build/frame, will add strength and size. Arm works with FB touching 84, strike thrower. Secondary developing. Aggressive on the mound.

Projects physically to add strength to frame and build. Repeats delivery, arm works. FB 84-86, look for velocity to develop, shows raw arm strength as position player. CB 75-76 with ability to spin baseball, 2600. Interesting on the mound.
6.88 60. Actions will firm at SS. Moves well to baseball in OF. Can throw, carry present. Plus arm future. Shows some bat speed, hit approach will firm.

Frame/build to add strength. 6.56 60, plus runner, moves well on baseball field. Range present in OF. Projects to have avg arm, low slot at times causing tail; when behind the ball, shows carry. Bat-to-ball present with line drive contact, hit over power.

Trevi Preische | C/3B | Colleyville Heritage | 2027 | R/R | 6'3" 195
Frame/build to add strength. Plus runner with a 6.58 60. Showed 2.01 pop times in workout, did not see in game. Hit approach will develop. Catcher who can run and shows avg pop times in workout.

Logan Chaix | CF | Weatherford | 2027 | R/R | 5'11" 160
Will add strength. Plus runner, 6.67 60. Can run balls down in the gaps from the outfield. Carry to throws present, projects to have avg arm strength. Hit over power with a solid swing. Athletic player with tools to develop.
