Future Games: The Nation’s Biggest Recruiting Week

Welcome to the biggest uncommitted baseball event in the country.  This week, the scouting world descends on LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA, for the highly anticipated Future Games week. While the week kicked off with the upperclassmen in the Senior Future Games (2027 grads) and features the rising stars of the Junior Future Games (2030 and 2031 grads), July 22nd through the 25th belong to the main event: the Future Games.

Bringing together the premier uncommitted Class of 2028 prospects from across the nation, the Future Games offer an unmatched platform.  These elite athletes will be put through a comprehensive pro-style workout before battling it out in a three-game slate.  Among the loaded rosters taking the field is Team SC, a powerhouse squad featuring the top uncommitted talent from across South Carolina.

If there was any question about the magnitude of this week, just look at the crowd behind the backstop.  Last year’s event drew a staggering 450+ college coaches, and Day 1 of this year's showcase has already matched—if not exceeded—that massive turnout.  The spotlight has never been brighter, and for the Class of 2028, it's time to perform.

Team SC Impresses on Workout Day

The wait is finally over for the Class of 2028.  Months of preparation turned into action on Wednesday, July 22, as the Future Games opened with the annual pro style workout at LakePoint Sports.  With hundreds of college coaches lining the backstops, Team South Carolina was one of the first teams on the field and wasted no time making an impression.

The day opened with laser timed 60 yard dashes, where several South Carolina prospects showed high end athleticism.  The offensive workout followed, as hitters stepped into the cage for batting practice with every swing tracked by TrackMan. Ball flight data highlighted exit velocity, launch angle, and distance, while BLAST Motion captured key swing metrics to provide a complete offensive evaluation.

The focus then shifted to the defensive portion of the workout. Players worked at their primary positions, giving college coaches a chance to evaluate defensive actions, arm strength, and overall athleticism across the field. The workout wrapped up with additional athletic testing, bringing an end to a full day of evaluations in front of one of the largest collections of college coaches of the summer.

Wednesday's workout reinforced the depth and talent within Team South Carolina.  From athleticism and defensive ability to power and arm strength, the group produced strong performances across every area of the evaluation.  Below is a look at the top statistical performers from the workout as we highlight the Team South Carolina leaderboards.
