Defensively, he showcased a strong arm with excellent carry from the outfield, recording throws up to 86 mph. At the plate, Dickerson generated impressive power, producing exit velocities up to 96 mph on TrackMan while utilizing a pull-side approach with natural loft that projects for increased game power as he continues to mature. + C/3B Michael Martin (2029) from Pillow Academy, put together an impressive performance that highlighted why he is a prospect to keep an eye on in the coming years. The 6-foot, 168-pound catcher and third baseman showcased an advanced blend of athleticism and offensive upside, producing exit velocities up to 97 mph on TrackMan while using a middle-to-pull side approach with occasional loft that projects well for future power. He also displayed above-average athleticism for a catcher, turning in a 6.99-second 60-yard dash. Defensively, Martin showed polished fundamentals behind the plate, recording pop times as low as 2.11 seconds with throws up to 76 mph, demonstrating clean footwork, quick transfers, and the defensive tools to remain at the position. With his combination of offensive impact, athleticism, and advanced catching skills, Martin is a 2029 prospect whose progression will be worth following closely over the next few years.
+ INF/RHP Luke Correnti (2030) from Regents School of Oxford, is one of the more intriguing young prospects in Mississippi's rising class. The 6-foot, 155-pound infielder and right-handed pitcher possesses a projectable frame with plenty of room for added strength and continued development. At the plate, Correnti generated exit velocities up to 96 mph, using his natural leverage to produce a pull-side approach with developing power that should continue to improve as he matures. He also showed solid athleticism, posting a 7.28-second 60-yard dash with the expectation that his speed will continue to improve. Defensively, he displayed developing infield fundamentals while recording throws up to 81 mph across the diamond. On the mound, Correnti worked up to 81 mph with his fastball and flashed the foundation of a maturing secondary arsenal, giving him legitimate two-way upside. With his combination of physical projection, offensive power potential, arm strength, and versatility, Correnti is a 2030 prospect that recruiters and evaluators should be following closely in the years ahead.
+ OF/LHP Sutton Gore (2028) from Regents School of Oxford, put together a strong all-around performance that highlighted his athleticism and two-way potential. The 5-foot-11, 150-pound left-handed pitcher and outfielder opened the day by posting an impressive 6.99-second 60-yard dash, showcasing the speed and quickness that translate well on the field. At the plate, Gore drove the baseball with authority, reaching 94 mph exit velocity while displaying a line-drive approach that consistently worked the middle of the field and both gaps. Defensively, he showed excellent first-step quickness in the outfield and recorded throws up to 85 mph, giving him the tools to cover ground and impact the game defensively. On the mound, Gore worked into the low 80s with his fastball and demonstrated solid spin and command of his breaking ball, further reinforcing his value as a legitimate two-way prospect. With his athleticism, left-handed bat, defensive ability, and developing arsenal on the mound, Gore is a 2028 prospect with plenty of upside and one recruiters should continue to monitor closely.
+ OF Tristan Trimble (2028) from Oxford High School, will look to establish himself as one of the premier young athletes in Mississippi. The 6-foot-1, 158-pound outfielder and right-handed pitcher was one of the highlights at the event, posting a 6.95-second 60-yard dash with the athleticism and projectable frame to become even faster as he matures. Defensively, Trimble showcased a long, loose arm with throws up to 89 mph from the outfield, giving him the arm strength and carry to impact the game at a high level. At the plate, he displayed a middle-to-pull side approach with a line-drive swing path, consistently producing quality contact while showing plenty of offensive upside. Combining premium athleticism, a strong throwing arm, and a projectable offensive profile, Trimble is an outstanding young prospect who is poised to demand the attention of recruiters as he continues to develop.
+ RHP Jake Cooley (2027) is an uncommitted right-handed pitcher from Pontotoc High School looking for a spot at the next level. The 5-foot-9, 160-pounder worked his fastball up to 85.2 mph, showing some natural arm-side life that allowed the pitch to play effectively in the zone. His changeup was one of the highlights of the outing, closely mirroring his fastball arm speed before showing late fading action, giving him a quality secondary offering against opposite-handed hitters. His breaking ball is still developing but does offer solid shape and projects to become a dependable third pitch as he gains consistency. With a competitive arsenal, feel for pitching, and continued room for development, Cooley is an uncommitted arm that college recruiters may want to make a point to see this spring.
+ RHP/1B Britton Carpenter (2029) from Hernando High School, is an exciting young right-handed pitching prospect with plenty of upside still ahead of him. Carpenter worked his fastball up to 79 mph while showcasing a clean, repeatable arm path that should allow him to continue adding velocity as his body matures. His overall physical development will play a significant role in unlocking his long-term potential, but the foundation is already in place. He also flashed two promising secondary offerings, showing solid shape on his breaking ball while demonstrating advanced feel for a changeup that featured excellent fastball arm speed and late fading action after effectively killing the spin. With a polished delivery, feel for three pitches, and significant projection remaining, Carpenter is a young arm worth following closely over the next several years as he continues to develop.
+ INF/OF/RHP Micah Mahfouz (2031) from Jackson Prep, is an exciting young prospect whose athleticism and baseball instincts already stand out at just 13 years old. The infielder and outfielder posted a solid 7.59-second 60-yard dash, showcasing smooth, fluid movement patterns that project well as he continues to mature physically. At the plate, Mahfouz produced exit velocities up to 87 mph while displaying a level bat path and a mature middle-to-pull side approach that consistently produced quality contact. Defensively, he showed developing arm strength with a loose, unrestricted arm action that points to more velocity in the future. He also flashed promising ability on the mound, demonstrating good feel for pitching (fast ball up to 76 mph) and the traits to develop into a productive arm as he grows. With his athletic foundation, advanced feel for the game, and significant long-term projection, Mahfouz is a 2031 prospect whose progression will be well worth tracking over the coming years.
