ROSTER PREVIEW

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

Waylon Marko C / OF / Hononegah, IL / 2028

From January 19th: "C Waylon Marko (Hononegah, 2028) is another young backstop who showed well on the day. Having added noticeable strength to his 6-foot, 188-pound frame, Marko continues to raise his stock each time we see him. He took one of the loudest rounds of the day with exit velocities peaking around 101 mph, averaging 95 mph while also nearing 400’ for his max distance. He showed a mature ability to use the whole field, letting the ball travel and naturally lifting the ball to the biggest parts of the field. Marko made notable strides behind the plate as well. In nearly a year’s time, he has increased his velocity from the crouch by six mph (now 80 mph), as well as refined his pop time range (now 2.02-2.13). His arm works downhill out of the crouch, paired with some intent and carry to his throws. Marko presents a large target for his pitcher when receiving, operating from a relaxed one-knee stance, and working to present pitches."

Jenner Smith RHP / OF / Hersey, IL / 2028

From March 30th: "6-foot-3, 190-pound frame, high-waisted with broad shoulders, room to continue to add strength. Started on the mound and battled over six innings, allowing five earned runs with two walks and nine strikeouts. Not an easy day to pitch with some rain and low-40s temperatures, Smith held 80-81 mph throughout all six innings, also mixing in a sharp 11/5 curveball he could land in the zone whenever he wanted, 68-70 mph. High-ceiling arm to follow that is also intriguing with the bat."

Carson Ramoley OF / Brother Rice, IL / 2028

From August 5th, 2025:

Positional Profile: OF
Body: 5-10, 150.8-pounds. Athletic, upside build with broad shoulders.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open setup, some pre-pitch rhythm in hands, works back in-line with a medium stride. Hands work direct to the ball, uphill path, line drive approach to the middle/pull-side. 68.8 mph bat speed with 16g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 mph max exit velocity (85.7 avg.); 341-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 81 mph. Full arm action, 3/4 slot, plays true with accuracy to the plate.
Defense: Quick jumps, clean and efficient routes, athletic actions, works through the baseball.
Athletic Testing: 6.65 runner in the 60-yard dash; 26.10-inch max vertical jump.
Vizual Edge: 79.94 Edge Score.
