2026 PBT 15U National Championship: Event Leaders + Recap

On June 24, the 2026 Prep Baseball 15U National Championship wrapped up at LakePoint in Emerson, Ga., where a champion was crowned after going 9-0 against the toughest Class of 2029 competition in the country. In this piece, we'll cover the tournament's top performers in conjunction with their in-event data and showcase data since the start of 2025.

Tournament Champions 🏆

15U National Champs:
East Coast Sox 2029 Marucci

East Coast Sox 2029 Marucci went 9-0 en route to the 15U National Champs title and they got some special performances on both sides of the ball, just as you might expect from the club team that went on to capture the 15U crown among a field of 162 teams.

SS Land Sharpless (Trinity Presbyterian HS, AL, 2029) recorded a team-high 11 hits and he led the entire tournament with five home runs on the week while LHP/1B Beckett Johnson (South Jones HS, MS, 2029) added two of his own in between dominant outings on the mound. Sharpless' nine total extra-base hits on the week also led the event by three; INF/RHP Colton Pettinato (Metrolina Christian HS, NC, 2029) was among those tied for second with six extra-base hits on the week; SS/RHP Bryant Wisdom (Chelsea HS, AL, 2029) added five extra-base knocks and game-winning hits in the final two days of the tournament as one of the top-ranked '29s in the country. Johnson was up to 89 mph from the left side, the highest velo recorded among southpaws this week, and he K'd 11 batters in 8.1 innings with just one hit allowed, no walks, and one unearned run. Pettinato also reached the 89 mph mark, while 1B/RHP Coston Mahan (Florence HS, AL, 2029) was among the tourney leaders with 22 whiffs tallied, 13 of which came on his curveball, 75-78 mph, and he also nine swings and misses on his upper-80s fastball.

This squad had some of the best talent in the tournament on paper and they actualized it at LakePoint on an undefeated stretch that saw them hoisting the trophy at its conclusion on Wednesday.
