As always, the evaluation process is a fluid and ongoing process with multiple viewings in order to get the best feel for players abilities. It’s important to note that a players continue their development some show marked improvement at a much more rapid pace. That doesn’t indicate that other players got worse or went backwards, it’s just how player development works. As the year unfolds, players make improvements and new prospects pop up on the radar expanding the PBR rankings universe. In addition to the evaluations of players, our scouts, both those in Georgia and nationally, have also had multiple discussions with each other to review our individual lists and then make adjustments based on what we've each seen.

Spring Breakouts

Rylan Long, C/3B, Mt Paran
The former Junior Future Gamer and 3rd overall in the class came out to make a statement in his freshman year and emerged as one of the top bats in the Mt. Paran lineup in a hurry. Long would finish the spring hitting north of .450 while showing a significant power profile with 7 HR and even more to project going forward. Showing excellent ability to sync up a longer load at the plate, Long exudes advanced barrel control to match planes throughout the zone while driving balls across the field with ease. Defensive profile continues to gain polish with ability to stick at multiple premium positions, showing present arm strength and obvious athleticism in the physical 6-foot-0, 185-pound frame. There’s shades of a Vahn Lackey type profile/ceiling for Long and we’re already seeing the 15 year old tap into it at a young age. (Spring 2026)

Hudson Pursell, RHP/OF, Wesleyan
The Wesleyan right-hander toed the rubber for one of his first starts of the year and looked the part across a short 3.0 IP outing. Pursell went on to strike out 4 with 0 walks while only allowing 1 hit with 0 runs given up. Easy mover at 6-foot-3,175-pounds with plenty more to project and budding feel for a 3-pitch mix. Clean, repeatable delivery and gets down the mound well with present arm speed from a ¾ slot. Fastball lived 86-87 (T88 MPH) with arm-side run through the zone. Slider displays a future advanced offering down the line with feel to spin and sharp bite while showing confidence in any count at 74-76 for whiffs. Rounded out the arsenal by mixing in a quality changeup as well to LHH at 77-79 with arm-side fade and depth. The stock continues to trend up for the former Junior Future Gamer as he has staked his claim throughout the Spring as a staple inside the Top 10 for the ‘29 class ranks in the state. (March 2029)

Jacob Dockter, 1B, Mt Vernon
This was my second look at Dockter this Spring as he really has started to take off during his freshman campaign. The first-basemen showed extremely well while batting cleanup and facing a tough southpaw in the mid-upper 80’s. Put together a multi-hit game including a backside double into the left-centerfield gap that one hopped the wall and a pull-side single as he stayed back on spin well. Physical 5-foot-10, 187-pounds and boasts a strong feel to hit with impact in the barrel to match. The LHH stays well-connected and balanced while transferring weight well in a hanging leg lift load. Creates excellent length and keeps his hands back with present feel to move the barrel around the zone for consistent solid contact. Quality pitch recognition stands out as he looks to hunt in-the-zone early. The stock continues to grow for Dockter as he has a real chance to be the x-factor for his ballclub come the playoffs. (April 2026)

Carson Clark, C, Cambridge

Zeke Dotson, RHP/C, Dawson County
The freshman got the start in Game 1 of the playoffs and battled through six innings, showing poise in a high-pressure environment. A big mover down the mound, the 6’3”, 191-pound right-handed pitcher has a strong, physical frame with room to continue developing. He flashed a firm fastball that sat 86–88 with the ability to command it to all parts of the plate, consistently forcing weak contact and getting in on the hands of hitters. The curveball showed a true 12–6 shape with good depth and movement; while he had some trouble landing it for strikes at times, he competed through traffic and worked out of jams, allowing just two runs over six innings. He showed the ability to reset between pitches and maintain his tempo, which stood out for a young arm. At the plate, he looks to do damage to the pull side, showing present bat speed throughout the zone with strength generated from the ground up. There is good intent in the swing, and he doesn’t get cheated when he gets a pitch he can handle. Dotson is a name to follow heading into the summer and should continue to trend upward as he adds experience and refines his overall game. (May 2026)

Holden Borland, RHP/OF, South Forsyth
2025 Junior Future Gamer. About mid way through the season we saw Borland got the call to get some starts on the mound for South Forsyth and needless this to say he ran with the opportunity and hasn't looked back. We knew we needed to get out to see him soon, and coming off a no-hitter performance last week he was riding some big momentum. He was low 80’s over the summer, sneaking into the mid 80’s at times and flash forward to now he did not throw a ball under 87 until later in the 3rd innings. He sat 88-90 and grabbed 91 in the 2nd. He attacked the zone early, putting the fastball where he wanted to. He could spot up in the slot on the outer half and at the top of zone to get chases. He flashed the change up a lot early and got swing and miss, tunneling well off the fastball. It took him an inning to find the breaking ball, but once he did he was flipping it over in any count for strikes. He also added 2 hits at the dish. Borland is going to be really fun the watch develop and it is hard not to think he will be 90-92+ come this time next year with some added strength and development. (April 2026)

Garrett Parsons, SS, Archer

Liam Search, SS, RoswellAfter seeing Search this spring and summer we found out really quickly that there was an obvious hit tool that stood out. No matter the setting he was finding barrels to all parts of the field. He had a standout showing at Junior Future Games with nearly double digit hits for the event. He found a starting job on the varsity team as soon as he got done with basketball and could join the team. He faced an upper 80’s arm on Monday and went backside twice. He had a few attempts at 2B, ranging to his left and throwing on the run. There is obvious athleticism throughout with more on the way as he continues to grow and get stronger. (March 2026)

Deuce Green, OF, Pace Academy

Grayson Parker, 3B, Central (Carrollton)
6-foot-2 160-pounds. This was our first look at Parker and one of his first starts for the Lions and he made the most of the opportunity. The frame stands out and when he steps into the left handed batters box he looks the part for sure. He would go on to get the first hit of the game and would end up being 3 for 3 on the night with 2 singles and a double. There is obvious feel for the barrel with immense projection in the frame. Parker is going to be yet another underclass prospect for Coach Presnell and the Lions. (March 2026)

Daiden James, OF, Union Grove
