On Tuesday, June 9th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, to host the 2026 Team TX Future Games Tryouts, an invite-only event for the class of 2028.

More than 50 players made their way to Texas State and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every infielder in attendance as well as rank the top 5 from the event.

TOP OUTFIELD PROSPECTS

1. Milton Watkin, Ridge Point (TX), 2028
Positional Profile: OF/RHP Frame/build to add strength. Plus runner. Outfielder with ability to play all 3 OF spots. Hard contact off barrel, aggressive swinger.
Body: 5-10, 186 pounds. Width to back/shoulders. Good middle/lower. Projects well to add strength.
Hit: RHH. Knee lift stride lands in good position. Rotational back foot, gets stuck at times, get fully turned on all swings. Effective use lower 1/2 in swing, can be firmed. Hits into firm front leg, stride foot stays into ground. Solid posture at contact. Slight elbow lift with back elbow creating minor barrel tip over top to of head. Swing works, slight uphill path created with minor barrel tip.
Power: 99 mph max exit velocity (92.3 avg.); 374-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 87 mph. Arm works, carry to throws, will have avg arm strength.
Defense: Ability to play all 3 OF spots. Moves well to baseball, breaks down well to field. Range present.
Athletic Testing: 6.82 runner in the 60-yard dash; 26.50-inch max vertical jump. Plus runner. Solid run form. Speed will increase.
