2026 Prep Baseball Future Games - Team PNW Preview

In just a few days, Prep Baseball PNW sends some of the top 2028 talent in the area to LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Georgia to play in the coveted Prep Baseball Future Games. The premier event of the summer features some of the best talent in the country, with the vast majority of last year's team already committed to play college baseball. Today, we release a preview of Team PNW, highlighted by standout athletes on both sides of the baseball. Players are split into pitchers and position players/two-way's and are listed alphabetically by first name.

Beau Johnson OF / RHP / Wilsonville, OR / 2028Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 4
Speedy, compact framed outfielder. Johnson has been a staple at the top of the order since early in his freshman HS season. 6.77 runner at his best to this point with exit velocities up to 100 MPH. 86 MPH arm in the outfield. Last seen at PNW Preseason All-State, also showed well at West Coast Super Sophomore Games last fall. |

Ben Byeman OF / 1B / Eastlake, WA / 2028Advanced bat with some positional versatility. Had a huge spring, particularly early on, showcasing the power tool from the left side. 6.88 runner has had exit velocities up to 104.7 MPH in previous showcases. Can provide quality defense at 1B or in a corner OF spot. Showed well at NPI at LakePoint earlier this summer as well. |

Collin McGowan 3B / C / Battle Ground High School, WA / 2028High level two-way talent and top-50 ranked prospect in the class nationally. Imposing 6'5, 200 pound frame with quick actions. Steep angle on fastball up to 93 MPH earlier this summer, with a mid-80's CH and low 80's SL. Real power potential with pull oriented approach and uphill angle at the plate. Has seen time at 3B and C during live looks. Must-follow. |

Daniel Sleeter SS / RHP / Gig Harbor High, WA / 2028Two-way player has consistently produced in showcase and in-game looks. Smooth swinging, gap-to-gap power profile from both sides of the plate. Exit velocities up to 101.9 MPH and balls hit up to 386 feet in previous showcases. Upper 80's arm on the hill from medium RH frame. Can stick anywhere on the dirt with INF throws up to 90 MPH previously. Key transfer piece this past spring for Gig Harbor. |

Consistently shows one of the better hit tools in the PNW across multiple showcase and live looks. 6'2, 185 pound athlete likely fit for a corner long term. 7.1 runner with exit velocities up to 97.9 MPH this winter. Two-time state champion at the HS level. |

Sophomore coming off of a breakout bullpen this look this winter to go alongside strong position player profile. Strong arm from 6'0 RH frame with FB up to 89 MPH and infield throws up to 91 MPH. 7.0 runner in the 60. Gap to gap approach with rotational quickness and mid 90's exit velocities. |

Gregory Johnson 1B / 3B / Puyallup, WA / 2028Among the best bats in the PNW with enticing blend of power, plate discipline and contact. 6'2, 235 pound frame carries underrated athleticism with a 7.15 run time and aggressive instincts on the bases. 107 MPH peak EV with balls hit up to 415 feet. Consistent in-game performer as well. |

Massive bat speed present in strong 5'10 frame. Barrel stays through the zone well with strong-wristed approach. Drove balls up to 106.3 MPH and 370 feet in winter showcase look. 1.98 pop time at his best, has also seen time at 3B during the spring season. |

Twitchy, more compact frame generates power with hand/bat speed. 98.3 MPH peak and 90.3 MPH average exit velocities. 7.1 runner also ran a fastball up to 87 MPH last fall. |

Top of the charts hand/bat speed and rotational acceleration yield loud results offensively. 108.6 MPH peak EV with balls hit up to 402 feet. Corner OF profile long term with throws up to 90 MPH. Helped lead his team deep into the Washington HS state playoffs this spring. |

Lincoln Moore SS / 3B / Kentlake, WA / 2028Top-ranked player in Washington and a top 20 ranked player nationally. Can do it all on the diamond with silky movement patterns defensively and a 6.72 run time. 106.4 MPH exit velocities this winter with rotational power and lean present strength. Winning style of play in all facets, capped by a 3A state title for Kentlake this spring. Must-follow. |

Madden Pike SS / RHP / Puyallup, WA / 2028True do it all type with defensive versatility and skill on the mound. Strong arm for some time now, capped by a fastball up to 89 MPH on the hill paired with a plus slider. Low 90's throws in the defensive portion of showcase workouts. Lofted approach from the left side of the plate and flatter, contact oriented swing from the right side. Peaked with a 98.4 MPH EV and 375 foot batted ball distance this winter. |

Sam Smith OF / LHP / Central Catholic, OR / 2028Top-ranked player in Oregon's 2028 class. Game-changing speed translates well to CF with aggressive reads and actions defensively. 6.47 runner in the 60. Plus bat speed for wiry 5'10 frame, peaking north of 84 MPH this winter. 97.7 MPH exit velocities and throws up to 88 MPH from the outfield. Dynamic player.

Trey Holdren 1B / OF / Southridge, WA / 2028Mature hitter with quality hit/power blend from the left side. Feel for the barrel with exit velocities up to 101.3 MPH and an average EV of 95.6 MPH this winter. 7.24 runner moves well at 1B and can really pick it. Enough athleticism for potential move to corner OF in the future. Bat carries the profile & plays in the middle of the order. |

Quality athlete and a 7.1 runner. One of the best arms in Oregon's 2028 class. |

Nolan Barrett RHP / 1B / O'Dea High School, WA / 20286'5, 220 pounder really boosted his stock with a series of strong outings this spring. FB into the upper 80's from unique, lower 3/4 slot fire. Whippy, loose arm. Mixes in a SL/CH/CT with distinct shapes. Fills the zone with all four pitches. Starter profile and got the ball in big spots for a deep playoff run. |

Sennet Timmermans RHP / OF / Lincoln High School, WA / 2028Silky mover in long-levered 6'6 frame. Higher spin arsenal with upper 80's fastball north of 2400 RPM at its best. SL has flashed plus with 2500+ RPM on average, and a low 80's CH rounds out the arsenal. Strike thrower consistently works deep into games and dominated in high school action this season. |

Tate Tuininga RHP / 1B / Liberty Sr High School, WA / 2028High ceiling arm in 6'5, 190 pound frame. Whippy arm with 3/4 to low 3/4 slot fire and more in the tank. Developing command, FB up into the low 90's in live looks. High spin on the FB and two distinct breaking balls. Enticing upside as frame continues to mature. |

Lean-framed 6'3 righthander has been on the rise in 2026. FB was 86-87 MPH in the winter but has been into the low 90's in recent looks, including at NPI this summer. High spin breaker has real chance to be plus offering. Kills spin well on low 80's CH. Sleeper pick with potential to steal the show. |
