TOP PITCHING PROSPECTS
1. Jayden Singer, Calabasas High (CA), 2028
Positional Profile: RHP/OF A true 4-pitch mix with feel for all pitches in the zone. FB has run up and in to RHH while each OS has a unique and quality profile.
Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Physical frame with proportional build. Long levers and has room to fill.
Delivery: Easy mechanics with a higher leg kick. Sinks into the back leg well allowing him to use the slope to his advantage. Stays linear through the delivery and produces force into his front leg, allowing his energy to go towards the catcher. Front side is loose and helps him stay closed throughout the motion.
Arm Action: RH. Has a longer arm swing that translates to a lower slot. Arm is whippy after front foot strikes.
FB: T92, 89-91 mph. FB has ASR that moves up and in to a RHH. A more east/west movement profile with a loose arm translates to getting on hitters quick. T2286, 2140 average rpm.
CB: 70-72 mph. Spins the CB well with a true sweeper profile. Tunnels off teh FB extremely well. T2527, 2454 average rpm.
SL: 76-78 mph. A tighter SL that offsets the CB. Can use it against both RHH and LHH. Has strong feel in the zone. T2175, 2155 average rpm.
CH: 84-86 mph. A low spin CH that offers a supplemental pitch against LHH. It has a strong movement profile with more fade than depth. T1964, 1876 average rpm.
