Gulf Coast Summer ID: Pitcher Reports

ORANGE BEACH, AL – The 2026 Summer ID Tour continued on Tuesday, June 23rd, as Prep Baseball Alabama traveled to the Orange Beach Sportsplex for the Gulf Coast Summer ID and Gulf Coast Rising Stars ID. Featuring prospects from the 2027-2031 classes, the event brought together players from across South Alabama and the Gulf Coast region for a full day of evaluations in front of the Prep Baseball Alabama staff.
Attendees participated in a pro-style workout that included laser-timed 60-yard dashes using VALD Performance gates, batting practice with TrackMan technology, and defensive evaluations with arm strength metrics recorded at each position. The event served as an early summer opportunity for players to update their profiles, collect verified data, and showcase their tools heading into a busy summer schedule. In addition to collecting valuable data, players were also evaluated for some of Prep Baseball's premier national events, including the Senior Future Games (2027s), Future Games (2028s), Southeast Super Sophomore Games (2029s), and Junior Future Games (2030-2031s).

Aaron Ashley, Snook Christian Academy (AL), 2028 |
Positional Profile: RHP/SS
Body: 6-2, 175-pounds. Longer and lean, projectable frame.
Delivery: Gathers weight on the back-side and stays over the rubber. Good pace to the delivery.
Arm Action: RH. H 3/4 arm slot with some arm quickness.
FB: T80, 78-80 mph. Some heaviness to the pitch with late ride and carry. T2048, 1955 average rpm.
SL: 71-73 mph. Short, firm offering with tight spin and actions. T1862, 1773 average rpm.

Body: 5-8, 125-pounds. Smaller frame, plenty of future development.
Delivery: Closed delivery with slight cross-fire.

FB: T82, 77-81 mph. Natural tailing action. Consistently in the zone with it. T1888, 1663 average rpm.
SL: 71-73 mph. Tight action with late bite. Solid feel to locate it beneath the zone. T2589, 2482 average rpm.

Positional Profile: 3B/1B
Body: 6-0, 155-pounds. Athletic frame, long limbs.
Delivery: Up tempo actions down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Higher 3/4 slot.
FB: T76, 73-75 mph. Showed occasional run to the arm side. T1982, 1862 average rpm.
CB: 66-66 mph. Late breaker showing quality 11/5 shape. T1900, 1779 average rpm.

Delivery: Some funky actions and deception to delivery. Stays closed.

SL: 68-70 mph. Sweeping action. Can work to both sides of the plate. Tight spin. T2271, 2148 average rpm.

Body: 5-3, 120-pounds. Compact and sturdy frame.
Delivery: Athletic, controlled actions. Gradual build of pace.
