CLASS AAA @ CHS FIELD

Ty Beck OF / OF / Farmington High School, MN / 2027

Ranked No. 20 in Minnesota's 2028 class, Beck brings one of the more intriguing tool sets to CHS Field. The former Junior Future Games and Future Games participant ran a 6.90 60-yard dash last summer and showed impressive bat speed, producing an 82.1 mph max hand speed. The swing is compact and efficient with present strength that plays to all fields. After a solid start to the spring, Beck caught fire down the stretch, slashing .489/.619/.889 over his final 18 games with four home runs, 26 RBIs, and 11 hit-by-pitches in just 63 plate appearances.

Carson Deibele RHP / SS / MONTICELLO SENIOR HIGH, MN / 2027

Few players in the class can match Deibele's combination of size, athleticism, and competitive edge. The three-sport standout stands 6-foot-3 and moves exceptionally well down the mound, generating easy velocity from a fluid delivery. He touched 87.4 mph at the Preseason All-State and later reached 89 mph while striking out 14 over six innings at Baseball Day in Delano. The fastball plays with intent and Deibele has no issue challenging hitters on either side of the plate. In 44 innings this spring, he posted a 2.52 ERA while striking out 60.

Isaac Feller OF / LHP / Cretin-Derham Hall, MN / 2027

Feller's athleticism jumps off the page. The left-handed hitting and throwing outfielder ran a blazing 6.52 60-yard dash and produced a 100.6 mph exit velocity during fall workouts, showcasing one of the better power-speed combinations in the class. Ranked No. 30 in Minnesota, Feller finished the season on a tear, hitting .486/.535/.784 over the Raiders' final 12 games with two triples, two home runs, and five stolen bases.

Mason Golberg LHP / 1B / Prior Lake High School, MN / 2027

Golberg announced himself at the Preseason All-State in March with a polished bullpen and the ability to land multiple offerings for strikes. The left-hander carried that momentum into the spring and played a key role in helping Prior Lake return to the state tournament. He finished with a 2.67 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 34 innings, highlighted by a dominant postseason outing against top-seeded Shakopee. In that section opener, Golberg tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out nine.

Cale Holthaus OF / Monticello Senior High, MN / 2027

Holthaus brings plenty of strength and impact potential to the plate. The 6-foot, 210-pound left-handed hitter showcased that power at the Preseason All-State, posting a 100.6 mph exit velocity that ranked among the event's best. The tools translated into game action as well. At Baseball Day Minnesota, Holthaus earned Co-Player of the Game honors alongside teammate Carson Deibele after going 2-for-3 with a double, triple, and two RBIs. On the season, he slashed .407/.500/.698 with 16 extra-base hits, consistently driving the baseball with authority. A 7.0 runner with an upper-80s arm from the outfield, Holthaus combines physicality, athleticism, and offensive production into one of the more intriguing profiles in the class.

Lucas Oistad LHP / OF / Farmington High School, MN / 2027

While Oistad may not light up radar guns like some of the state's highest-ranked arms, his ability to pitch stands out. The 6-foot-1 left-hander repeats his delivery well, fills the strike zone, and consistently works ahead with a deep mix of pitches. In five starts this season, Oistad went 4-1 with a 1.43 ERA and 31 strikeouts across 29.1 innings. He threw strikes at a 67 percent clip and averaged just 3.58 pitches per hitter, a testament to both his efficiency and command.

Charlie Wielinski C / OF / Rosemount High School, MN / 2027

Wielinski brings plenty of offensive firepower to the catching position. At the Preseason All-State, the Rosemount backstop posted a 103.3 mph exit velocity, showcased a 77 mph arm behind the plate, and turned in a 2.00-second pop time. The right-handed hitter attacks with an aggressive mindset in the box, generating loud contact and extra-base impact. That approach translated throughout the spring, as Wielinski compiled a 1.085 OPS with 33 hits, 12 of which went for extra bases, including three home runs.

CLASS AAA @ CHASKA ATHLETIC PARK

Gavin Griffin OF / OF / Perham Senior High, MN / 2027

Griffin put together one of the loudest offensive seasons in Minnesota while continuing to show off an intriguing blend of athleticism and projectability. The 2025 Future Games alum hit .543/.598/.840 with 16 extra-base hits and 18 stolen bases. The 6-foot-2 outfielder ran a 6.74 60-yard dash at the Preseason All-State and also recorded the event's best vertical jump at 30 inches. The tools continue to trend upward, but the bat remains the carrying tool.

Kason Nuehring RHP / C / Mankato West Senior High, MN / 2027

Nuehring saved one of his best performances for the biggest stage, tossing a complete-game one-hitter in the section championship to send Mankato West back to the state tournament. The right-hander struck out seven and never allowed Mankato East to find much rhythm offensively as the Scarlets secured their state berth. Armed with a four-pitch mix and a mid-80s fastball he consistently locates, Nuehring has proven to be one of the more dependable arms in Class 3A. He finished the season unbeaten at 5-0 with a 1.20 ERA, striking out 54 against just 16 walks across 41 innings while routinely filling the zone and keeping hitters off balance.

Patrick Sorensen RHP / OF / St. Thomas Academy, MN / 2027

Sorensen delivered one of the most impressive postseason performances in the state when he carried St. Thomas Academy past top-seeded Holy Angels in section play. The right-hander tossed eight shutout innings, allowed five hits, walked none, and struck out 11. Command was his calling card all season, as evidenced by a remarkable 46-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Sorensen finished 4-1 with a 0.92 ERA over 38 innings and continues to show signs that additional velocity is on the horizon.

Joey Terhaar LHP / OF / Totino-Grace High School, MN / 2027

Terhaar served as the workhorse atop Totino-Grace's rotation, making nine starts and logging 52.1 innings while posting a 7-1 record and 1.87 ERA. His biggest moment came in the section championship, where he fired a complete-game four-hitter against Becker to punch the Eagles' ticket back to state. Terhaar needed just 102 pitches to finish the job, striking out six without issuing a walk. The upper-80s fastball features considerable life and makes him a difficult matchup for opposing hitters.

Nolan VanLoy RHP / 3B / Rocori Senior High, MN / 2027

VanLoy possesses an intriguing two-way profile. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound athlete couples a projectable frame with impact tools on both sides of the ball. At the Preseason All-State, he ran a 6.96 60-yard dash, produced a 100.1 mph exit velocity, and showed off an 89 mph arm from the outfield. On the mound, VanLoy worked up to 86.5 mph with a heavy fastball combination, featuring both a riding four-seamer and a sinker that generated up to 15 inches of horizontal movement.

His production matched the tools this spring. VanLoy led Rocori's staff in innings pitched (48), ERA (2.19), and strikeouts (38), while also serving as one of the Spartans' top offensive threats. At the plate, he hit .350/.418/.712 with four home runs and 31 RBIs, leading the team in both categories.
