Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '26 LHP Zack Hankins (Taft).

Zack Hankins LHP / 1B / Taft, OR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 7 / POS: 2 The Taft High School arm was exceptional last week, throwing a no-hitter to win Pitcher of the Week honors. The lefty allowed 0 runs, striking out 17 with just 2 walks allowed. The top-ten ranked senior in the state was seen at PNW Preseason All-State last winter before securing his commitment.
