Stats: 2.0 IP, 5 K, 0 BB; .400, 2B, 2 BB The bulldog, low-pulse demeanor that Moore brings to the table was made to be an asset for a high-stakes event like Future Games and that’s exactly what helped lead the recent State Champion to earn the team MVPitcher. Stout 6-foot-0, 218-$frame moves extremely well on the mound with a methodical delivery that he repeats well and shows the present feel and command of a strong three-pitch mix. Struck out 5 over 2.0 IP against Florida while facing the minimum. Going back to 14U, the best way to describe the fastball for the LHP is a “profanity fastball” for lack of a better term. Moore mixes both four-seam and sinker shapes while attacking in-zone with confidence and showing the ability to generate whiffs and soft contact alike. Command is present to every quadrant of the zone and looks to be an above-average offering right now in the upper-80s with even more velocity to come. Both the slider and changeup tunnel and play well off the fastball at 79-80 with budding feel for both. The breaking ball looks slightly more advanced with late bite that has the aptitude to miss bats. All Moore has done throughout his career is win paired with only-improving stuff and plus makeup that will make the profile enticing even among P4 programs come August 1st.

10/16/24

Uncommitted. 6-foot-0, 205-pounds. It was my first look at the physical freshman arm, and the arm talent jumped out from the first warm-up pitch. Working from a high three-quarters slot, Moore is a fast mover on the mound showing big-time arm speed already and an advanced ability to generate power from a strong lower half. Fastball was the go-to in this outing, working 83-86 while reaching back from 87 twice and commanding the entire top half of the zone. Upwards of 20” of IVB consistently while creating swing-and-miss throughout. Double-digit whiffs and strikeouts on the fastball alone. Slider was mixed sparingly at 69-71 showing good tilt with some horizontal break. There’s an obvious confidence when Moore steps on the mound while showing a chance for premium velocity from the left-side. Name to know.
