Senior Future Games: The Premier Showcase for Uncommitted 2027 Prospects

Each year, LakePoint Sports in Emerson, Georgia, hosts the most significant uncommitted scouting event in the nation: Future Games week. While the overarching event features emerging talent across multiple age groups—including the Future Games for 2028 graduates and the Junior Future Games for 2030 and 2031 graduates—July 21st and 22nd are distinctly reserved for the Senior Future Games.

This premier showcase brings together the top uncommitted student-athletes from the Class of 2027 nationwide. Over the course of the two-day event, players are evaluated through a comprehensive pro-style workout, followed by a highly competitive three-game series. Among the distinguished rosters in attendance is Team Carolina, which unites top-tier uncommitted talent from both North Carolina and South Carolina.

The exposure provided by the Senior Future Games is unparalleled in amateur baseball. The previous year's event drew an attendance of over 450 college coaches, and initial figures from Day 1 indicate that this year's turnout has already matched, if not exceeded, that milestone. The right-handed hitter posted a 103.4 mph exit velocity and 373-foot max distance while running an outstanding 6.64 sixty with a blazing 1.55 ten-yard split and a 28.2-inch vertical.  He backed those numbers up during game play, collecting three hits in two games, including two doubles, while consistently showing the ability to drive the baseball to all fields.  Finley's combination of athleticism, power, and mature offensive approach continues to establish him as one of the premier 2027 prospects in South Carolina.

Grayson Friske 3B / OF / Cape Henry Collegiate School, VA / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 66 / POS: 4 Friske showcased some of the biggest raw power at the event, producing a 104.5 mph exit velocity and an impressive 411-foot max distance.  The physical right-handed hitter consistently generated loud contact, with his strength standing out every time he stepped into the box.  He translated those tools into game action as well, collecting multiple hits over the three-game event while consistently barreling baseballs against live pitching.  With his combination of present strength, impact power, and in-game production, Friske established himself as one of the top offensive performers in attendance.

Max Kniesche 3B / OF / Lucy Beckham, SC / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 56 / POS: 5 Kniesche showcased a strong blend of athleticism and power throughout the event.  The 6-foot-3 right-handed hitter produced a 99 mph exit velocity and an impressive 391-foot max distance, demonstrating the ability to drive the baseball with authority.  He carried those tools into game action, collecting multiple barrels over the three-game event while also showing a disciplined approach by drawing several walks and consistently controlling the strike zone.  Defensively, Kniesche added an 80 mph infield arm, giving him a well-rounded profile with size, athleticism, and offensive impact.

Jackson Meyers C / OF / Atlantic Collegiate Academy, SC / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 27 / POS: 3 Meyers put together a solid all-around weekend, contributing on both sides of the ball.  The right-handed hitter produced a 94 mph exit velocity and 347-foot max distance, then carried that into game action by collecting a couple of hits over the three-game event with a confident offensive approach.  Behind the plate, Meyers was equally impressive, doing an outstanding job defensively by receiving well, controlling the running game with pop times as low as 1.93, and consistently handling the pitching staff.  His combination of offensive production and dependable defense makes him an intriguing catching prospect in the 2027 class.

Walker Thomason OF / RHP / Rock Hill, SC / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 44 / POS: 7 Thomason continued to prove he is one of the top offensive prospects in South Carolina's 2027 class by combining loud tools with in-game production.  The physical right-handed hitter posted a 101.4 mph exit velocity and 367-foot max distance, showcasing his ability to impact the baseball with authority.  He carried that into game action by collecting a couple of hits over the three-game event while adding another hard-hit ball that was well struck despite resulting in an out.  Thomason's combination of strength, consistent barrel quality, and offensive approach continues to make him one of the more dangerous bats in the class.
