2026 Senior Future Games: Team Southeast Recap

Year Three of the Senior Future Games is in the books, and once again, another standout performance from the Peach State.

A total of 14 players represented the state of Georgia with 12 on Team Southeast as well as late additions to Team New England and Team West Coast. Talent shined across the board with many different profiles that can provide big-time value at every level from D1 to JUCO and already seeing our first member come off the board within 24 hours of the event.

In the recap today, we take a look at our Team MVP, Team MVPitcher, Biggest Winners as well as a quick look at what the entire roster did across the week. To see full stats from the event CLICK HERE

Team MVP: Jennings Allen, SS/2B, 2027, Pickens
A breakout ‘26 campaign continued for Allen as he looked the part across the board. Quality at-bats across the week including a double and triple in GM3 where he earned player of the game honors as he paced the offense to a win. Athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pounds with lean strength and present tools throughout. Utilizes a quiet, balanced setup in a quick trigger while staying compact with barrel accuracy from a linear path. Good rhythm in the load while working from the ground-up with fluid hands and ability to find consistent contact across multiple parts of the zone. Line-drive oriented approach with innate bat-to-ball skills and lives in both gaps. Bouncy, fluid footwork in the dirt with soft hands and advanced instincts should allow him to profile at the keystone long-term. Allen boasts the type of game traits and intangibles that you simply bet on, and looks to bring immediate value to success at the next level.

Team MVPitcher: Rocco Baxter, LHP, 2027, Calhoun
Baxter put together a stellar spring season with Calhoun and parlayed that into what’s been a great summer that caps off with his outstanding outing at Senior Future Games. The LHP would string together two clean IP while notching a pair of strikeouts and no hits. Clean arm action in the lower three-quarters slot with ability to repeat and plenty of projection in the lean 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame. Fastball lived in the upper-80s, while running it up to 90 and creating in-zone misses due to some late cut that played well throughout the zone. Showed a pair of breaking balls with a tight slider used sparingly at 78 and curveball at 71-74 that tunnels well with gradual break that can freeze batters at times. Kick CH could end up as the best secondary for Baxter with ability to kill spin and velo alike at 69-72, sub-1000 spin. The feel is coming at a rapid rate and very difficult to pick up out of the hand. The entire profile raises its ceiling with every look and comes through again on one of the biggest stages.

Biggest Winners

Everett Grubbs, RHP, 2027, Pickens
It has simply been a banner year and then some for the recent state champion who has pitched at a high-level across both the spring and summer. Clean, repeatable cross-fire action with whippy arm speed from a tough slot and wiry 6-foot-0, 165-pounds with a velo jump inbound as physical maturity is coming in a hurry. Pitchability and competitiveness stand out as he owns the strike zone paired with a chance for 3 future advanced offerings. Struck out 5 across 2.0 IP while generating swing-and-miss with the entire arsenal. Mixes both 4S and SNK shapes at 87-89 (T90 MPH) with command throughout. Outlier traits on the slider at 74-77 with innate feel to spin consistently at 2900 + RPM, and ability to manipulate for whiffs or freezes. Changeup is a weapon to LHH with excellent ability to tunnel off the fastball at 81-84 while showing tumble and falls off the table. Plus-plus makeup and high academics only make the profile for Grubbs that much more intriguing and valuable innings at a p4 appear to be on the horizon for the spring of ‘28.

Brody Bohannon, C/OF, 2027, Sequoyah
Young for the class with a profile full of high-floor tools, Bohannon had breakout winner written all over him and the backstop did not disappoint. One of the team Southeast workout standouts as Bohannon would finish top-10 across the board in defensive catching metrics as well as putting together one of the more potent rounds of BP that we've seen from him in his career. Bohannon would carry the quality showing into game play and come through with one of more impressive defensive plays of the week instantly with an in-game 1.87 caught stealing in game one. Athleticism in the crouch really stands out with flexibility and improved receiving that can keep the incoming senior behind the plate long-term. Tools and actions can allow Bohannon to profile across the outfield as well, and only strengthens the long-term defensive value. At the plate, the line-drive oriented approach was on display all week as he found multiple 95+ barrels while taking quality at-bats nearly every time he stepped into the box. I'm not sure we’ve seen anything close to the ceiling for Bohannon with an equally high floor that will be appealing at multiple levels.

Grant Bradley, 3B/1B, 2027, Holy Innocents
Bradley has performed at a high-level in seemingly every look over the past calendar year, including another strong showing on a massive stage. Was at or near the top of multiple stat categories for the GA SFG group. Strength and athleticism stand out in the physical 6-foot-1, 196-pound frame. Ran a 6.81 (1.62 10-yd split) and ability to reach top end speed quickly. Sent a handful of balls out in batting practice as he showed multiple 95 + exits with a max 101.9 exit velocity. Carried it over into gameplay as he showed well in the final game and picked up a pull-side RBI knock along with a 102.3 EV groundout right at the SS. The RHH stays coiled in his back hip well and stays balanced in a leg lift load with tons of strength from the ground-up. Barrel feel is present in a physical cut and direct path to contact with strong forearms/wrists. Mature approach and zone awareness is evident with a willingness to use the whole field well. Hit/power combo is amongst some of the best in the ‘27 class in the peach state and Bradley displayed that as he should garner real interest across multiple levels within the coming weeks.

Ryan Johansen, 2B, 2027, Buford
The gamer makeup will always stand out for me and when it's backed up with tools and production, it’s almost a no-brainer. Johansen brings an extremely high floor in the middle infielder backed with an athletic 5-foot-9, 157-pound frame that holds average to above-average tools throughout. Lateral actions and soft hands consistently stand out both at SS and 2B with likely a long-term home coming at the keystone where it can be a high ceiling. Balanced, quiet setup from the left-side, Johansen has shown consistent bat-to-ball skills in every setting and that continued in the mature BP round as well as game play. Works through the middle of the field extremely well with excellent zone awareness ability to match planes against both velocity and spin. Johansen can fill roles at both the top and bottom of the lineup with the high-floor hit tool and minimal chase that will always provide a ton of value.
