STANDOUT PERFORMERS
|
Nico Busalacchi 1B / RHP / Del Oro High, CA / 2027Busalacchi is coming off a huge junior year for Del Oro high School, he hit over .400 and had 8 HRs to go along with being used as a pitcher and an outfielder. For a kid with some size, he moves exceptionally well, he was in the outfield at the Stanford PSAS, but at the ProCase he worked out of 1B. Busalacchi ran a 7.05 60, which was lower than his last time, he moves around quick and has a strong enough arm to stick there. The bat is always going to play, Busalacchi continued to show why he is one of the top uncommitted bats in the country. He possesses plus bat to ball skills, with being able to hit the ball out of the park line to line, there was a round of BP he took where he had everyone in the field watching. Busalacchi does a great job of staying through his tight turns, he’s going to make a difference on any roster. Highlights: 60 YD Dash: 7.05 | Max EV: 104.6 mph | Max Distance: 421 ft | INF Velo: 80 mph | Vertical Jump: 24.3 in | Max Bat Speed 81.9 mph |

Cooper Carleton LHP / 1B / Whitney High, CA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 56 / POS: 10
Carleton came with us to the Future Games last summer and made a name for himself, he later in the fall committed to UC Santa Barbara. The tall, lanky southpaw has been making tons of strides since his arm injury two summers ago. Carleton has rehabbed and his back to full strength, he also has been playing summer ball for the Lincoln Potters in the collegiate league locally. There’s a lot of upside for Carleton, his fastball is hard to see, and it comes out of his hand heavy. It’s a three pitch mix, with his secondaries playing off of his fastball, the one thing Carelton does very well is the ability to pitch inside. Carelton hammered 3 spots all day during the gameplay, it made a lot of the lefties uncomfortable, the Gauchos are getting a stud. Highlights: FB Velo Max: 89.6 mph (-17.7 HM max / 18.2 IVB max) | SL Spin: 2400+ | CH: 76-80 mph -16.8 HM max |

Chase Cotton RHP / 3B / Whitney, CA / 2028Chase Cotton is finally back and fully healthy from an arm injury during the Boras Classic his freshman year at Whitney High School. The hard throwing righty touched 94 mph last year before shutting down. With over a year of rehab, Cotton is throwing like he hasn’t missed much. He pitches with a ton of energy and it really makes the game exciting to watch. The fastball is firm and has some cut/ride to it, making him able to love at the top of the zone, and then drop in secondaries. Cotton has been working on a cutter to go along with his changeup and curveball, potentially a nasty four pitch mix down the road. With Cotton being able to dominate the fastball, he can throw only one secondary and get away with it. Cotton will be the Game 1 starter for Team NorCal at the Future Games coming up.
FB Velo Max: 92.3 mph (12.4 HM max / 14.3 IVB max) | CB velo: 80-81 2200+ | CH velo: 81-85 HM Max: 21.2 | spin: 1800+ |

Colton Fitzgibbon OF / LHP / San Ramon Valley High, CA / 2028The two-way star from San Ramon Valley had a hell of a day at the NorCal ProCase, Fitzgibbon started the day off with an event best 6.45 60 yd dash, to follow that up in the outfield workout he threw the ball over 93 mph. With the combination of speed, athleticism, and arm strength, Fitz is going to develop into something special if he chooses to pursue baseball. He’s got elite tools that need reps, it’s only a matter of time before things start to come together. The swing is still raw, but the bat speed is there and again, another guy that just needs more reps, it’s not a mechanical issue. Fitz is a prototypical leadoff guy, has some PCA/Alek Thomas vibes when he plays. Fitzgibbon will be leading the outfield for team NorCal at the Future Games. Highlights: 60 YD Dash: 6.45| Max EV: 99.1 mph | Max Distance: 383 ft | OF Velo: 93 mph | Vertical Jump: 30.0 in |

Riley Salvemini RHP / 3B / Woodland Senior High, CA / 2028I got a chance to see Salvemini during the high school season and he dominated on the mound, fast forward to the ProCase, safe to say he did the same thing. Salvemini started his day off with a 6.79 60 yd dash, considering his 6’3 190 lb frame, he moves really well for how big he is. Defensively, he’s more of a 3B/1B, he’s still athletic enough to get to a lot of balls in the infield, but it’s on the mound where he’s going to be playing this game a long time. He knows how to pitch plain and simple, he’s only going to get better, his fastball is up to 92 mph, with multiple reports of him being up to 94 mph this summer. There’s a lot to like in his frame, it’s a high leg kick, Salvemini actually hides the ball pretty well mixed in with different tempos. It’s going to be fun to watch him throw against a stacked Texas squad in the Future Games. Highlights: 60 YD Dash: 6.79 | Max EV: 98.5 mph | Max Distance: 367 ft | INF Velo: 86 mph | Vertical Jump: 23.3 in | FB velo Max: 91.6 mph | 2400+ spin |

Leo Rhein RHP / OF / St Ignatius College Preparatory, CA / 2027Rhein attended our Stanford PSAS earlier this season and had a great showing in his bullpen, he’s not the biggest of guys so off the bat he’s not going to impress you much physically. But, Rhein is a stud on the mound, he’s got a quick arm, moves well down the mound, and he knows how to utilize all his pitches. Rhein has a legit 4-5 pitch mix, with his fastball leading the way at 89-91 mph. With some added weight in his future, don’t be surprised if Rhein is an arm you hear about throwing mid 90’s with a mean off speed to go along with it. Rhein will be attending the Senior Future Games with team West Coast. Highlights: FB Velo Max: 90.1 mph (19.3 HM max / 20.0 IVB max) | SL Velo: 72-76 mph 2400+ | CH velo: 75-79 1000+ spin | CT velo: 76-78 mph | -12.3 HM max |

Damien Nolan RHP / 3B / Saint Mary's College High School, CA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 117 / POS: 26
Nolan made a big name for himself last summer, and is making an even bigger one for himself this summer. On the mound, Nolan has a very heavy fastball sitting around the 90-92 range but he's got two plus off speed pitches to go along with it. Nolan throws a kick change along with a curveball, both are his put away pitches. He’s got the Bronson Arroyo leg kick working, not as high of a leg kick but it's electric. He’s a guy that will pound the zone with strikes and compete, the Long Beach State Commit has a chance to develop into a premium arm on the West Coast. The hitting side of things is pure athletic ability, he can find a lot of barrels and the EVs are really high, but he’s another guy where the mound might be his calling. Highlights: 60 YD Dash: 7.17 | Max EV: 105.6 mph | Max Distance: 389 ft | INF Velo: 80 mph | Vertical Jump: 27.2 in | FB velo Max: 92 | CB velo: 64-65 | 2300+ spin |
