One of the stronger performances of the day came from the Harlem CIF. Physical 6-foot-1, 208-pounds with sneaky athleticism throughout. Ran a 7.08 60 backed by a quality first step (1.62 10-yd). Posted a max 95.2 exit velocity during batting practice with a max 344ft. max distance. Utilizes an early stride in the box as he maintains balance and gets into his lower half well with ground-force strength present. Explosive hands with strength in the wrists and impact in the barrel while showing some loft at contact to the pull-side. Lewis will be one to keep tabs on this spring with a Harlem squad that will look to make a run.

Brayden Fraser, OF/LHP, 2028, Cherokee
Some present athleticism in the lean 5-foot-11, 138-pound frame with strength to project. Clocked in at a 7.12 60-yd time to open the event. Posted a max 89.5 exit velocity during batting practice with feel to use both gaps well. Stays balanced through the zone in a quick toe-tap load and loose hands in an on-plane path with some loft at contact. Defensive actions stood out with a strong first step and excellent routes to the ball while showing budding arm strength ( 81 OF Velo). Athletic mover on the mound with feel for a three-pitch mix and filled up the zone. Operated in the upper 70’s and mixed in a curveball with two-plane depth at 67-71 and a changeup at 71-74. Fraser holds a quality floor while projection remains and a chance to build off a role with the Warriors this spring.

Taylor Stone, SS/RHP, 2027, Evans
Uncommitted. The two-way prowess of Stone was on full display across the event. Athletic 5-foot-11, 162-pounds with present tools across the board. Opened the day with a 6.95 60-yd time. Followed it up with a quality round of batting practice where he sprayed the ball to all fields and posted a 91.7 max exit velocity. Shows a rhythmic setup with ability to rotate his hips well and stays balanced with feel to move the barrel around the zone. Led the event in OF velo at 89 MPH backed by clean footwork and preset arm speed. Looked the part on the mound as he filled up the zone with a 3-pitch mix. Athletic mover down the mound followed by a loose arm stroke with ability to repeat from a ¾ slot. Fastball lived 84-86 and spun over a curveball with two-plane depth at 70-72. Mixed in a changeup at 75-77 with command throughout and tunnels off the fastball. Stone holds upside across multiple collegiate levels and will once again be a huge piece for the Knights on both sides of the ball come next spring.

Jackson Fletcher, 3B/2B, 2027, Greenbrier
Uncommitted. Showed well in our looks this spring and opened the summer with a quality performance. Compact strength in the 5-foot-6, 166-pound frame. Produced strong contact in a pull-side oriented approach as he finished the round with a max 93.1 exit velocity. Good incorporation of his lower half as he stays coiled well in a toe-tap load with minimal wasted effort throughout. Works from the ground-up while showing a direct stroke with ability to match plane through the zone.

Jace Granade, OF, 2027, Greenbrier
Uncommitted. Granade was impressive amongst staff this spring and fast forward to now where he looked the part. Physical 6-foot-1, 195-pounds with strength and athleticism throughout. Finished with the events 3rd best 60 as he clocked in at a 6.92. Carried it over into batting practice as he posted an even best max 99.3 and 90.6 average exit velocity. Utilizes an early stride as he gets into his lower half well with good balance while showing the ability to create ground-force strength. Hammered baseballs to the pull-side with strength in the hands showing and impact out front in a linear path through the zone. Quality actions across in the grass with flexibility and solid footwork while boasting some present arm strength ( 84 OF Velo). It’s a really well-rounded profile for Granade that could make an impact for a recruiting class across multiple levels.

Conner Paist, SS/RHP, 2027, Evans
Uncommitted. The Evans rising senior put together a quality showing across the board. Athletic 5-foot-10, 159-pounds with budding tools and well-connected RH cut. Opened the day by running the events best 60 as he clocked in at a 6.88. Found the barrel regularly during batting practice as he posted a max 93.3 exit velocity and a max distance of 348ft. in a pull-side heavy approach. Direct path to contact with some present hand speed and leverage through the zone in a linear path. Quality actions in the dirt with soft hands and range laterally. Filled up the zone on the mound with feel for a 3-pitch mix. Methodical leg lift in the wind-up and repeats well from a shorter arm stroke. Fastball creates carry with some ride in the upper 70’s and flipped over a curveball with two-plane depth at 68-69, and ability to add or subtract horizontal movement. Changeup tunneled well off the fastball with late tumble and feel to land at the bottom half of the zone. Paist, a steady performer over the years, boasts a well-rounded profile that should only continue to grow.

Arvis Croll, C/SS/ RHP, 2027, Luella
Uncommitted. Croll had an impressive showcase, displaying his athleticism around the diamond and defensive versatility. Behind the plate, he worked hard to get into the right position and showed a strong, accurate arm. He then moved to the outfield, where he displayed good footwork and recorded an outfield velocity of 85 mph. In the infield, he showed smooth actions, quick feet, and a solid arm across the diamond, posting an infield velocity of 85 mph. At the plate, Croll showed present bat speed with the ability to use the entire field. He stayed within himself and consistently found the barrel during a solid round of BP, recording a max exit velocity of 90.8 mph and an average exit velocity of 83.2 mph. On the mound, he attacked the zone with a quality three-pitch mix. His fastball sat 80-83 mph, topping out at 84 mph. He also showed a curveball with good depth and mixed in a changeup that showed good action. Overall, Croll's versatility and ability to contribute in multiple areas stood out throughout the event.

Grant Kunstbeck, RHP, 2028, Harlem
Kunstbeck put together a very impressive bullpen at the showcase. At 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, he possesses a strong, projectable frame with even more strength to add as he continues to develop. He moves well down the mound and generates easy velocity with minimal effort. His fastball sat 88-90 mph with command to both sides of the plate and the ability to manipulate movement. He averaged 9 feet of extension down the mound, helping the fastball play up through the zone. His curveball sat 72-74 mph with late break and quality depth, generating swing-and-miss potential. He does a good job varying speeds and shows a strong feel for spin. He also flashed a changeup that killed spin and featured quality arm-side fade. The pitchability and frame stand out right now, with even more upside remaining as he gains experience and continues to refine his arsenal. His ability to command three pitches and maintain consistent mechanics throughout the bullpen was impressive.

Matthew Scherer, OF, 2028, Lakeside
Uncommitted. The Lakeside rising junior was very impressive at the showcase, displaying athletic tools, and strong, powerful movements in the 5’10”, 169 lb frame with room to grow. He performed well during BP with a wide and quiet stance with a toe tap for timing. He showcased a flat barrel path and generated great leverage through the zone, generating a max exit velocity of 93.8 and a max distance of 363 on a day where the wind was howling in towards home plate. In the field, the outfielder threw well with a whippy arm and consistently posted an outfield velocity of 84 mph on a line to the catcher. Scherer proved to be an explosive mover, ranking high in both the 60 yard dash and the vertical jump tests. Both his 6.90 dash and 24.1” vert were among the best marks of the day. Overall, Scherer looked to be an explosive athlete with simple, repeatable mechanics that should continue to develop well as he grows and adds more muscle to his frame.

Raul Mancera, OF, 2028, Augusta Christian
Uncommitted. The rising junior from Augusta Christian impressed at the Augusta Summer ID with loud barrels and powerful swings. At 5’7” and 189 lbs, he used his smaller frame efficiently to do damage in the box, slashing line drives up the middle with a direct-to-the-ball approach from a taller, narrower stance with a toe tap for timing. He posted a max exit velocity of 95.6 mph which was one of the best we saw all day. His swing path played well as his BP round resulted in a 38% line drive percentage which was also among the top marks of the day. In the outfield, he threw and ran well with a maximum outfield velocity of 84 mph. He ran the 60 yard dash in 7.07 seconds, and there seems to be room to improve there as well. Overall, Mancera impressed with a solid approach at the plate, coupled with a powerful frame that projects to be a dangerous threat in any lineup.

Clay Ridgeway, SS/RHP, 2027, Camden
Uncommitted. Ridgeway put together an impressive all-around day. The 5’10”, 155lb rising senior started the day running a 6.99 60yd dash with a 3.8 30yd split. An athletic mover in all phases of the game, during the BP round, Ridgeway posted a max EV of 92.8, with an average EV of 85.2, good for second best of the day. Utilized a flat swing path with strong hands through the zone to spray the ball to all fields. Ridgeway moved well on the IF dirt and showed clear confidence around the baseball. Showed an efficient transfer, paired with clean footwork to deliver throws ranging from 80-84mph across the infield. Throws showed good carry and remained on target. On the mound, the athleticism was evident. Delivers from an athletic low ¾ slot and creates some deception. Ridgeway showed an advanced feel to spin with the FB averaging 2200 rpm and the CB averaging 2450 rpm. Showed a good feel with the CH as well, killing the spin to an average of 1600rpm. The FB sat 80-82, CB was 68-69, and the CH sat 73-75. More velocity to come as the frame fills. Ridgeway is an intriguing two-way follow out of SC’s 2027 class.
