Ten Standout Single-Game Performances Seen in 2026

Dylan Grenz
Assistant Scouting Director

Throughout this spring, Prep Baseball staff traveled across Washington State, covering more games than ever before in order to be the go-to source for all high school baseball action. Many players and teams impressed during these live looks, with players across the state establishing themselves as arrow-up prospects or names to circle moving forward.

Today, Prep Baseball Washington highlights ten of the most impressive individual single-game performances we saw this spring. While there were an abundance of great statlines and appearances in Washington, this list focuses specifically on performances in games that were attended by Prep Baseball staff.

Below, we list the players and single-game statlines, followed by our scouting notes from the game.

3/18 - '26 Parker Christian (Union)

4-4, 4 1B, R

"The offensive leader of the afternoon, Christian was on base all game long, finishing 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a run scored overall. The stocky-framed senior hit to all fields, showing exceptional plate coverage to both sides throughout. The righty maintained a simple, shorter approach with a flatter path. Christian's aggression was paid off, as he jumped on heaters early in counts for the majority of his knocks in this one. The senior also had a shorter stint on the mound, where he had some mixed results but showed the ability to miss some bats with a pair of strikeouts in an inning of work."

3/28 - '27 Camden Bentley (Gig Harbor)

4-4, 4 1B, 4 RBI

"In what was one of the best offensive displays we've seen live all season, Bentley almost single-handedly kept his team in it on Saturday. The junior finished 4-4 with 4 RBI, including three different RBI hits throughout the contest. The swing worked well to the pull side and middle of the field, creating a wider base at contact with balance and a tighter upper half coil. Bentley showed great plate coverage. lining balls both up/down and in/out of the strike zone. He often jumped on fastballs, taking advantage early in the count. Standout performance."

3/30 - '29 Drey Lopez (Newport)

7 IP, 5 H, R, 8 K, 72 P/58 S

"The rising Freshman put together one of the more impressive and efficient complete game efforts we’ve seen in a while. Finishing with a final line of 7 IP,  5 H, ER, INT BB, 8 K on only 72 pitches with 58 going for strikes. He held his FB velocity well throughout the game and still bumped 85 in his 6th inning of work. The glove side command was exceptional. He has the look of an athlete who understands his body and how to control the baseball. Extremely quick to make adjustments and get back into the zone in the rare instance that he even had a miss. Lopez also has plenty of offensive potential. Normally handles 3B when not on the bump, he was hitting cleanup on this look and produced an impactful RBI triple in the top of the 1st inning to get Newport on the board. Overall, the 2-way talent is a high end prospect in the 2029 class and his size/athleticism gives him exciting upside."

3/31 - '26 Connor Moffitt (Mt. Spokane)

5.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 15 K

"To put it simply, Moffitt delivered a performance like we've never seen on the mound on Tuesday. The swing and miss was on another level, as senior struck out the first 14 consecutive outs recorded in his start. Moffitt's long 6'3 frame moved with fluidity and conviction, creating a steeper angle on his fastball with a higher slot release. The fastball sat 87-90 MPH, thrown harder when deeper in counts as a putaway pitch. Moffitt also mixed in a 76-77 MPH SL with tighter, late break and a looper CB at 72-75 MPH. The senior's final line: 5.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, BB, 15 K. Moffitt's stellar day was also displayed offensively, where he reached base twice and added 2 RBI from the cleanup spot."

4/3 - '27 Maddox Yoshinaga (Bellevue)

4-4, 2B, 3 1B, 2 R, 3 RBI

"The lefty stick showed the ability to let the ball travel and keep his barrel on an inside path, driving hits to his opposite field gap. Swing gets on plane early and stays through the zone with a more level finish. Defensively, he showcased the ability to make the routine play and will be a key piece for Bellevue for the remainder of the spring."

4/13 - '27 Will Prinz (Bishop Blanchet)

3-3, HR, 2 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 BB

"The Future Games alum was the star of the game in this one, reaching base in all 5 of his plate apperances from the leadoff spot. Prinz started the game off in a loud way with a solo home run to LCF, and he was only just getting started. He nearly left the yard in his next AB, settling for a long 2-run double. He then doubled again before drawing a walk and an IBB in his final two plate appearances. The swing carries the same sudden turn with some loft and bat speed through the zone, punishing pitches in the middle of the plate all game long. The speed and smooth glove was also shown in CF defensively. Prinz finished 3-3 with 2 runs and 3 RBI, and is a top-end uncommitted junior in the state remaining on the board."

4/20 - '27 Joshua Morales (Bellarmine Prep)

6.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 5 BB, 10 K

"The highly skilled arm took a big step forward at PNW Preseason All-State this winter, carrying over into a great in-game look on Monday. The lean-framed 6'3 arm moved with deliberate pace through his wind into late intent down the mound, throwing from a whippy arm action into a high 3/4 slot release. The fastball touched 94 MPH early, sitting more 88-92 to start. The velocity dipped at times when trying to land the heater for a strike, but bumped back up in the late innings, sitting 88-91 in his 7th inning of work. Morales leaned on the FB heavily but did mix in a CB at 75-78 MPH to change speeds late in counts. The mechanical operation has tightened up somewhat recently, and despite working through some hit and miss command early, Morales really settled in and dominated beginning to end."

4/21 - '28 Jadden Geiger (Sehome)

2-2, 2 2B, R, 2 RBI, 2 BB & 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, BB, 3 K

"Geiger threw in the 80-84 range with his FB and pairing with a CB in the low-to-mid 70s. Geiger attacked the zone with a quick pace and steady conviction. His athleticism gives him plenty of body control on the mound with a shorter, more compact arm action. Stays behind the ball well and is quick to make necessary adjustments. Offensively, he got the scoring started early in bottom 1 with a RBI double and would come around to score on an INF single. Worked to his pull-side in his next 2B and showed the ability to put a tight turn on the ball and pull the hands in quickly while staying through the baseball and getting extension after contact. Definitely an athlete to follow in the class."

5/23 - '26 Zach Vega (Kamiakin)

7 IP, H, 0 R, 3 BB, 15 K

"We've seen Vega earlier this spring, but the stuff was flat out on another level when his team needed it most. The Gonzaga commit worked the fastball up to 93 MPH, sitting in the low 90's throughout and overpowered Eastlake hitters with ease. He also mixed in a SL/CH, with the SL used as the primary out pitch alongside the FB. The senior was fiery and competitive on the mound given the high playoff implications and turned in one of the best outings we've seen this spring en route to a 1-0 victory in the 4A first round of state."

5/30 - '27 Bryce Carl (Sumner)

3-3, 2 2B, 1B, R, 4 RBI

"The uncommitted junior has swung a hot bat virtually all spring for the Spartans, but especially well down the stretch of the playoffs. He capped off his series of strong performances with perhaps his best in the 4A state championship, reaching in every plate appearance and collecting 3 separate RBI knocks for a total of 4 RBI in the game. The righty appears to keep adding strength, resulting in developing gap power with a barrel that stays through the zone well. Carl hit to all fields in this one with a pair of doubles, including a liner down the RF line to get the scoring going early on. Huge piece to the 4A state champions and a bat to circle heading into the summer."
