2026 Seattle Summer ID - Quick Hits
July 1, 2026
On Tuesday June 30th, Prep Baseball Washington hosted the Seattle Summer ID at Island Crest Park in Mercer Island, WA. Prep Baseball scouts evaluated high school athletes in the 2027-2030 graduating classes, with several strong showings throughout the event.
Summer ID events serve as an important tool for both Prep Baseball scouts and college recruiters, who will subsequently create lists of prospects to follow as they plan their remaining summer coverage. We often tend to see prospects' best showings at Summer ID events, as players are fresh off playing for their respective high schools and are in the routine that consistently playing in-game offers. Standout performances can lend invites to some of the summer's top events, including the 2026 Pacific Northwest State Games.
Today, we release our Quick Hits, detailing scouting notes on standout players from the event. Stay tuned in the coming days for complete post-event coverage. For all other post-event content, click here.
Seattle Summer ID (6.30.26)
Quick Hits
'28 INF Braden Barrett (Olympia)
The young infielder impressed during a live look in varsity action this spring, and displayed a well-rounded skillset in Mercer Island on Tuesday. A compact-framed righthander, Barrett is fit for a middle infield role with sure hands and some range on the dirt. Offensively, its a hit over power approach with a knack for finding the barrel consistently. Barrett sets in an open, upright stance, with the hands staying higher throughout with a flatter path to contact. He peaked with a 93.6 MPH exit velocity while averaging 87.3 MPH. The young player should be a varsity staple for a talented HS program the next two years.
'27 INF/OF Camden Bentley (Gig Harbor)
An athletic 6'2 outfielder, Bentley improved his showcase metrics virtually across the board on Tuesday. He started his day with a 7.03 60 time, quickness that translated to a smooth defensive portion of his workout with developing arm strength. Offensively, Bentley displayed a familiar profile with consistent, low line drive contact peaking in the low 90's while averaging upper 80's EV's. Bentley sets with a wider base throughout with a firm front side and shorter two-handed finish.
'28 OF/RHP James Glassburn (O'Dea)
Glassburn took some time to settle into his BP rounds, but once he did the thunder in the RH bat showcased itself in a real way. The 6'0, 200 pound righty starts in a balanced setup, letting his natural size and strength move a heavier barrel through the zone with minimal lower half rotation. Glassburn works through a longer, whippy path, peaking with a 97.8 MPH exit velocity. He also worked in a three pitch mix on the mound with a fastball 80-82 MPH and a CB/CH offspeed combination with lower spin rates. Intriguing follow.
'29 RHP/INF Owen Luke (University Prep)
Luke had an exceptional first high school campaign at the 1A level, earning first team All-League honors. The arm talent on the mound more than explained his early success, as Luke delivered arguably the most impressive bullpen look of the day. The 6'1 righty topped out at over 87 MPH, sitting 85-87 with his heater carrying heavier horizontal break. The CH at 76-77 MPH was landed consistently, while the CB at 69-70 MPH featured sharper 11/5 shape. The arm path and mechanical operation were clean, and Luke could realistically make further jumps has he continues to mature. Luke also had peak exit velocities north of 90 MPH at the plate, staying connected well in a more upright RH swing. Must-follow prospect.
'27 OF Drew Maguire (Roosevelt)
It's difficult to find a player with a higher upside remaining in Washington's 2027 class, and the upside was on full display for Maguire yesterday. The 6'5, 205 pounder led the event in several major statistical categories, starting his day off with a blistering 6.47 60 yard dash time. He then displayed improved arm strength from the outfield with sound defensive actions and throws into the mid 80's. The BP was the culmination of the skill, peaking with a 105.3 MPH exit velocity and driving pitch after pitch north of 100 MPH. The long levers carry twitch with a tighter, flat turn through the zone and easy bat speed. Maguire is a name for college coaches to circle with a potential impact corner OF profile moving forward.

'29 INF/C Cody Moore (South Anchorage, AK)
Despite being one of the younger players at the event, Moore displayed some of the louder tools at the event and is another must-follow in the future. The physicality stands out right away with a well-built lean 6'3, 190 pound frame. Offensively, Moore sets with a vertical barrel and hands forward in his frame, with a longer load into a slight uphill path through contact. The power tool played in a huge way, peaking with an exit velocity of 100.6 MPH and a batted ball distance of 374 feet. A 7.2 runner, Moore's projection paired with present skill is undeniable and will be worth monitoring in the coming years.
'28 OF Cruz Palepoi (West Seattle)
Palepoi is slowly growing into his long 6'3 frame and has really developed since his previous look at a Rising Stars event. The swing carries some rawness, but has some pop with exit velocities up to 95.6 MPH and balls hit up to 370 feet. Palepoi is more upright throughout with some shoulder tilt and raised posture after contact resulting in balls hit in the air consistently. Palepoi is a 7.23 runner with a fastball in the upper 70's on the bump to round out his day.
'27 INF Liam Pham (Juanita)
Pham had a nice showing live this spring for Juanita and delivered some of the most consistent BP rounds of any player yesterday. The compact-framed righthander carries some sneaky power with a 94 MPH peak exit velocity and balls hit up to 357 feet. The swing carries repeatability with shorter levers and a direct, middle of the field approach. The defense was strong with quicker, twitchy actions that should play in the middle INF. Pham also ran a 6.98 60 time in his well-rounded day.

'27 C/RHP Calvin Rice (North Mason)
A physical 6'2 junior, Rice had a nice showcase metrically in Texas earlier this spring before turning in another quality look at Mercer Island. Rice can get it done in all facets, with a 2.01 second pop time at catcher and some pop offensively. At the plate, Rice has peaked with an exit velocity of 97.9 MPH and balls hit up to 363 feet. The righty sets in a quiet stance and some bend over the rear knee, carrying bat speed through the zone with a slight uphill path and working short to long through contact with a whippy one-handed finish. Intriguing skillset.
'27 C/INF Zach Smith (Gig Harbor)
One of the biggest winners of the event, Smith's game looks to be trending in the right direction heading into the remaninder of the summer. The athletic, medium-framed righty carried increased pop in his BP rounds, peaking with a 98.4 MPH exit velocity and balls hit up to 369 feet. The loose-wristed stroke plays to the gaps with adjustability at times. Defensively, Smith can virtually play anywhere on the field, with a strong showing at catcher on Tuesday. A 7.14 runner in the 60, Smith is a versatile piece that can impact the game in a variety of ways.

'27 C/INF Gavin Turner (Lincoln)
Another player with some impressive power potential, Turner looked the part in BP at Island Crest Park. The medium-framed righthander sets in a balanced stance at the plate, maintaining a controlled operation with a short-to-long path resulting in flush contact. Turner peppered the pull side in the air with a peak exit velocity of 98.2 MPH and balls hit up to 374 feet. The Lincoln product ran a 7.34 60 with quality, quick throws on the bag from the catcher position.
'27 OF/RHP Finn Walker (Issaquah)
An athletic 6'0 two-way, Walker posted quality numbers start to finish. At the plate, Walker creates rhythm pre-pitch before a lofted, smooth RH swing catches the ball deeper at impact. Walker peaked with a 94.2 MPH exit velocity with his best swings resulting in balls hit to the middle of the field. He also ran a 7.03 60 with longer strides in the outfield to close ground. On the mound, Walker featured a three pitch mix with a fastball north of 80 MPH, killing spin well on his CH to go alongside an upper 60's CB.
'28 RHP/OF Devin Wallace (Interlake)
Wallace displayed similarly strong two-way ability on Tuesday. On the bump, he ran his fastball up to 83 MPH, sitting more 80-82 MPH. He also eliminated spin on a changeup in the mid-70's and mixed in a low 70's slider. Offensively, the hands set far from the frame with an arm bar through to contact, maintaining bend in his levers throughout. Wallace peaked with a 96.7 MPH exit velocity, averaging 87.1 MPH in his BP rounds.
