On Tuesday, July 8th, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff hosted the Verona Summer ID at Stampfl Field in Verona, WI. Over 25 players participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff.

POSITION PLAYERS


+ OF Jaxon Wepking (Verona Area, 2027): Athletic and wiry 5-foot-10, 166-pound frame. Wepking showcased a simple operation at the plate with quick hands that allow the barrel to whip through the zone with feel to backspin the ball with authority to all fields achieving a peak exit velocity of 96 mph. A 6.57 runner, the athleticism plays in the outfield, playing low to the ground with balance throughout and achieving a peak outfield velocity of 85 mph out of a low ¾ slot.  


+ OF Anthony Pellitteri (Middleton, 2027): Lean and athletic 5-foot-10, 141-pound frame. Presenting a simple operation at the plate, Pellitteri showcased a direct, level swing, achieving a peak exit velocity of 91.6 mph with a line-drive approach to all fields. In the outfield, Pellitteri displayed smooth and rangy actions and footwork, with a downhill arm action and carry on the ball, achieving a peak outfield velocity of 84 mph. 


+ INF Luke Kardelis (Muskego, 2027): Lean and athletic 5-foot-9, 151-pound frame. Presenting a simple operation at the plate, Kardelis showcased a flat and direct bat path with a whippy barrel with some feel to lift the ball in the air to all fields. In the field, fundamental actions with clean footwork, a two hand gather to the midline with touch and feel to get through the ball, achieving a peak infield velocity of 84 mph. 


+ OF Emmitt Vukobrat (Verona Area, 2027): Presenting an athletic 5-foot-10, 174-pound frame. At the plate, quick hands and a gap-to-gap approach allowed for consistent hard contact, achieving a peak exit velocity of 96.5 mph, and an average exit velocity of 89 mph. Present athleticism in the outfield, fielding the ball in rhythm and getting in an athletic position to throw, achieving a peak outfield velocity of 87 mph. 


+ C Eli Demrow (Parker, 2028): Strong and proportional 6-foot, 194-pound frame. At the plate, Demrow works out of a simple LH operation and presents quick hands and a quick bat to and through the ball with a line-drive approach to all fields. Short and quick movements behind the plate with blocking instincts and a quick transfer, achieving a peak pop time of 1.93.


+ MIF Caden Martin (Verona Area, 2028): Lean and athletic 5-foot-9, 132-pound frame with room for added strength. Well sequenced operation at the plate, with an efficient bat path, quick hands, and feel for the barrel, achieving a peak exit velocity of 94 mph. Athletic footwork on the infield with fluid actions, achieving a peak infield velocity of 81 mph.

+ UTIL/RHP Kale Schneider (Lodi, 2027): Strong 6-foot, 191-pound frame. At the plate, a rhythmic process and a tight hand path allow for a gap-to-gap approach with present strength throughout, achieving a peak exit velocity of 96.5 mph. In the field, aggressive actions and range allow for athleticism in both the outfield and infield with carry on the ball, achieving a peak infield velocity of 89 mph and a peak outfield velocity of 88 mph. A simple and repeatable mover on the mound, the fastball was up to 85 mph with life and slight arm side run to pair with a changeup at 78-79 mph with late arm side fade, and a tight slider with bite at 73-75 mph, averaging 2,200 rpm. 


+ INF/RHP Cael Koenig (River Ridge, 2027): Long-levered 6-foot-2, 172-pound frame. Fluid and on time at the plate with bat and hand speed creating a whippy barrel through the zone, achieving a peak exit velocity of 99.6 mph and an average exit velocity of 92.6 mph. 


+ OF/LHP Johnny Zambito (Elkhorn, 2028): Long-levered and athletic 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame. Rhythmic operation at the plate with quick hands and a direct bat path. Used the big part of the field with feel to backspin the ball achieving a peak exit velocity of 97 mph. Athleticism plays in the field with strong footwork and a loose arm, achieving a peak outfield velocity of 78 mph. On the mound, a loose simple operation utilizing a three pitch mix with the fastball up to 79 mph, the breaking ball at 63-65 mph with 11/5 shape, and a changeup at 71-74 mph with arm side fade. 


+ INF/RHP Charlie Rockwell (Verona Area. 2029): Athletic 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Present athleticism in the box out of an operation that is on time. Swing is on plane and well sequenced with an all-fields approach achieving a peak exit velocity of 91.5 mph. Athleticism translates to the infield, with clean footwork and a smooth arm stroke that plays at multiple angles achieving a peak infield velocity of 77 mph. 


+ INF/RHP Brady Ausen (Janesville Craig, 2027): Strong 5-foot-10, 205-pound frame. Presenting a fluid operation at the plate, whippy hands and present bat speed allow for power potential. On time, meeting the ball out front consistently with feel to pull the ball in the air with authority achieving a peak exit velocity of 92 mph. Sturdy and balanced actions in the field to pair, achieving a peak infield velocity of 78 mph.  

PITCHERS

+ RHP Griffin Kilcoyne (Verona Area, 2029): Long-levered and projectable 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame. Controlled movements on the mound with explosive actions down the slope. Loose and whippy arm with feel to spin. The fastball worked up to 84 mph, averaging 2,216 rpm. Kilcoyne utilized a tight breaking slider at 68-71 mph and a change up at 74-76 mph with advanced feel for both. Name to know in Wisconsin’s 2029 class going forward. 

+ LHP Arjuna Grady (Verona Area, 2028): Long-levered 5-foot-11, 149-pound frame with room for added strength. Repeatable actions on the mound working with a high ¾ arm slot. On the mound, the fastball worked up to 85.2 mph and averaged 2,286 rpm. Grady utilized a tight curveball at 73-75 mph to pair, averaging 2,348 rpm.
