The West Florida Top Prospect Games took place on Tuesday, June 23, at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The event featured players from the 2027-2029 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by gameplay in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.
Today, we will share our scouting reports on all catchers in attendance at the West Florida Top Prospect Games.

Catcher Analysis

Tristan Beatty C / 1B / Cypress Creek High School, FL / 2028
Positional Profile: C/1B
Body: 6-0, 183-pounds. Athletic build with balanced proportions and coordinated movements. Shows body control throughout the workout with actions that translate well behind the plate.
Hit: RHH. Sets up with conventional, repeatable mechanics from an athletic stance. Uses a controlled leg kick to create rhythm while staying balanced into the swing. Works with a longer path through the zone and looks to drive line drives back through the middle of the field. Maintains a controlled approach with the ability to stay through the baseball.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 87.1 mph. 360' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-74 mph. Shows clean arm action with quick, smooth transfers behind the plate. Delivers throws efficiently while maintaining athleticism out of the crouch.
Defense: 2.16-2.26 pop times. Athletic receiver with fundamentally sound actions. Works well out of the crouch, showing fluid movements and efficient footwork throughout the catch-and-throw process. Displays good body control while handling the position.
ATH: 7.48 runner in the 60. 1.71 and 4.10 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Justin Caraballo C / 3B / Lake Mary High School, FL / 2029
Positional Profile: C/3B
Body: 5-10, 211-pounds. Strong, durable build with present physicality. Moves well for his frame and shows athletic actions throughout the workout, particularly behind the plate.
Hit: LHH. Hits from an open stance with a controlled toe drag to create rhythm and timing into the swing. Works with a compact path while keeping the hands inside the baseball. Shows the ability to impact the baseball with strength, flashing pull-side power while maintaining an intent-driven approach.

Moves confidently through the baseball and shows the athleticism to cover ground while maintaining balance throughout defensive plays.
