PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

My highlights of the week were my catching skills including framing, blocking and my pop that I hit a personal record of and being around the best in my state.

I was very happy with how I played this week. I caught to the best of my abilities with no balls past me and was one for one on caught stealing. I feel like I hit fine going 2-6, but not my best week at the plate. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

Being on Team Ohio was a blast. What stood out to me was how fun it was being around all the players and coaches who I’ve known for a while and finally being able to play together as a team. 

PREP BASEBALL: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.

The competition was top notch. All the pitchers are in the 90s, all the hitters rake. I think this event had the best talent in the country and the games were super competitive. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

Competing in the Futures will help my future because every college coach in the country was there watching us play and it is the best event for uncommitted players.

My Future Games highlight was being able to connect with all the other players from Ohio which I had not got to meet.

I think I did pretty well. I thought I caught well and took good swings. I was just missing all weekend but I believe I was really close to it being really good.

Being a part of Team Ohio was really unique, knowing only so many people get invited and that you’re one of them means a lot.

The competition was really good, everyone on the field was top-notch players with bright futures.

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

Participating at the Future Games impacts the future of your baseball career in many ways. With all the coaches that were there, if multiple coaches like you, then you will have your pick at where you want to go.

Striking out the first batter was probably my highlight.

I wasn’t super happy with how I pitched. I didn’t have my best stuff and velo was down some but I was proud of the way I continued to compete and challenge hitters. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

It was super special to be able to represent Team Ohio. Such a cool honor and an amazing experience.

The competition was a great challenge and I got to face some great hitters. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

The Future Games can be an amazing thing for your future in the game. There are so many colleges there and it gives you a chance to show out in front of them.

About 20 colleges have reached out to me since the first. Some of those schools include: Louisville, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Ohio State.

My Future Games highlights were meeting new people and coaches, getting to represent Team Ohio, and pitching in front of many college coaches.

My performance was not my best at all and I wish I could have performed better for my team. Overall, I am glad I had the opportunity to compete against these elite hitters.

It was an amazing experience representing Team Ohio. The talent is amazing all over the field. Everyone that represented Ohio this weekend was extremely nice as well.

The competition was amazing at this event. Every field you saw there were elite players playing on it.

Participating in the Future Games can help you in many ways for the future. First, it shows you the unbelievable competition that is found around the country and secondly it makes you better as a player.

Here is the list of schools that I have talked to since Aug.1: Xavier, Kent State, Akron, Cal State Bakersfield, Youngstown State, Eastern Michigan, VMI.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

It was definitely a high-energy atmosphere with the nation’s best players all in one location. I think getting to play in front of so many colleges in one place was definitely the biggest highlight.

I felt I did well with the shortened outing due to the rain. I was still able to throw strikes and my changeup was on. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

I loved the opportunity to represent Ohio. Having players from across the state, who normally compete against each other, come together to play was awesome. It was also cool to enjoy the experience with a high school teammate.

I pitched against a great Michigan lineup which featured some of the top-ranked players in the country. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

Playing in this event with so many college coaches in attendance helps with getting eyes on you. Great opportunity to help get you to the next level.

I’ve had a good number of colleges that reached out that said they were in attendance and watched me at Futures. They liked my performance and were impressed with what I was able to do in the rainy conditions.

I thought Team Ohio was amazing, with a lot of elite talent and super nice kids. What stood out to me was how everyone went about their business and handled failure.

I thought the competition was very good. I faced elite hitters that were able to get good barrels on some of my best pitches and saw some elite arm talent.

Participating in Future Games can help you by giving you more exposure, allowing you to connect with other very talented prospects and show others how you play your game.

My highlights were being able to meet all these amazing baseball players and being able to have the experience of playing at such a high level of baseball.

I believe I showcased my athletic ability to my best capabilities. I always gave every game 110 percent

Being a part of Team Ohio meant I got to play with baseball players I have seen at the top level for years. What stood out was how kind and humble everyone was.

The competition we faced was on another level. The kids we played have skills you hardly ever see. However, that’s what I like the most being able to play against such talented players. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

Participating in Future Games helps me later by showing future coaches I belong with a very talented group of players. 

PREP BASEBALL: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?

I am currently in contact with Wright State and Marshall University.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

I think one of my Future Games highlights was the game under the lights against Team Michigan. It was pretty insane walking up there in such a cool environment!

Being able to hit that big double and get a run across the plate in such a cool game helped my confidence throughout the week and kind of calmed me down. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

Being a part of Team Ohio is such a great experience. Gathering around with all the top dudes in the state and competing at such a high level is something special. 

PREP BASEBALL: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.

I’d say we faced some pretty good arms from all three states. One of the challenging parts to me was facing as many lefties as we saw. Most of the time going up against those pitchers you may only get one pitch so you have to be ready. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

The Future Games to me can help me a lot in the future. I think going to showcases and showing off your numbers is great, but the Future Games gives you the ability to showcase your in-game skills against the best from every state. 

PREP BASEBALL: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?

The schools that I have talked to so far have been Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Akron, Kent State, Ohio, Yale.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

I was able to pitch two scoreless innings and retire all 6 batters I faced.

PREP BASEBALL: Assess your performance.

I felt like I had a strong outing and helped my team in the game I pitched.  All of my pitches were working. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

It was one of the best baseball experiences I have had in baseball being able to play for Team Ohio. It was great to be a part of a team with so much talent. I also thought it was cool to play with many of my summer teammates. It was great to play in front of so many colleges.

Every team we played was great. It was fun to compete against other states’ best players. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

The Future Games will help my college recruiting because so many schools were able to see me pitch successfully. Schools that did not see me play this summer got to see me and schools that did see me play this summer got to see me again.

Schools from the following conferences that reached out: ACC, Big 12, Big 10, Sun Belt, MAC, Big East, Big South, Horizon, Ohio Valley, Missouri Valley, Ivy.

My Future Games highlights were not so much in the game, but in the dugout meeting new people and making new friends.

I did pretty well. Getting adrenaline from the people watching helped. Overall, I was proud of my performance. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

Being part of Team Ohio was amazing. Everyone was close and the chemistry of the team was good.

Everyone we faced was the best from their area so it was cool facing the best competition from all over. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

The amount of coaches at the event can give kids looks from any college even if they have not been seen a lot this summer.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

I enjoyed meeting the best players from around the state and making new friends. I enjoyed seeing basically every college coach in the stands or around the complex.

I don’t think it could have gotten any better. I went six up, six down, with no hits and no walks. It was great. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

Being a part of Team Ohio was special. It was great representing the state and playing for more than yourself. The thing that stood out to me was how many college coaches were watching Ohio at all times.

Very simply it is Best on Best. It doesn’t get much better anywhere else. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

It already has. I’ve gotten tons of calls all because of the Future Games.

I have had five or six ACC, four or five Big Ten, two SEC, three AAC, four Ivy League and one Big 12.

I set a personal record on both the 60-yard dash and outfield velocity and then hit a ball 102.5 mph in-game.

My performance was pretty good. I wish I could have gotten a few more hits but overall I thought it went very well.

Being part of Team Ohio is special. There are so many very talented players in Ohio and I am grateful to have been chosen to the Future Games to showcase my talents.

The competition was amazing. Every single pitcher I faced was very good and they are all good hitters.

Participating in the Future Games can help me in the future by getting my name out there to colleges and hopefully being able to go to college because of this event.

My Future Games highlight is being selected to represent Ohio against the nation’s best hitters. There are so many talented 2028 pitchers in Ohio so it was an honor to receive the invite.

I did not feel I had my best stuff, but still performed well and battled through it. My slider seemed to be better than my fastball. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

There is a lot of talent in Ohio. We all fit together well and had a great time on the field and in the dugout. It was great to play with kids I’ve had to compete against in the past. The coaches are great, too.

I knew every batter I faced was one of the best in their state. That was a lot of fun.

The opportunity to have so many college coaches in one place is unmatched. The competition was top notch. Being selected is great because there is so much talent in Ohio. Thank you for the opportunity and experience.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

My Future Games highlights were showing a sharp slider to get a lot of chase, and pairing it with a sinker and four-seam fastball to miss below and above the barrel. 

PREP BASEBALL: Assess your performance.

My performance could have been better. The weather took a big hit on me, getting hot and then sitting down for almost an hour, but those are just excuses. The fastball velo could have been more up, and I could have showcased my changeup more. On the positive side, I threw strikes, got guys out, and competed with what I had that day. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

Being a part of Team Ohio was a great experience and a lot of fun. It’s an honor representing your state in an event like that, and it makes it even better. All the guys on the team were great. 

PREP BASEBALL: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.

The competition I faced was very good, with all hitters being able to hit missed pitches. It forced me to really dig deep and execute my pitches.

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

I believe participating in the Future Games can help my future by putting my name out at an event with the most college coaches of the whole year. I could get looks I wouldn’t have before and that could have changed my future.

So far it has been Troy, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Louisville, Akron, West Virginia, Toledo, Xavier, Old Dominion and Ohio.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

My Future Games highlights were getting to represent Team Ohio with some of my teammates and going out and competing with the best talent from around the country.

My performance was not what I was hoping for, but I bounced back after a rough first inning and really competed. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

Something that really stood out while representing Team Ohio was how much of a real team it felt like. All of the guys were really close with each other and everyone was very grateful to get to represent Ohio.

Some of the guys that we faced are something that you are not getting at any other event around the country. With that many great guys, all of the teams there are all competing at the highest level.

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

Participating in the Future Games can help me in the future because you get to play with a lot of great players and get in front of a lot of coaches that you can start to build a relationship with.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

I would say my Future Games highlights were the workout day and the round of BP that I had.

I thought I performed well. I wish a couple of my line drives would have found the gap but that’s baseball. Overall, my performance was strong. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

Being a part of Team Ohio was awesome. It was really cool to represent the state and to play alongside some of the top players in the class. 

PREP BASEBALL: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.

The competition level was great. Seeing some of the top arms in the country and to go up against some of the top hitters was great to see and be a part of. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

Participating in the Future Games can help you in the future because it is a great atmosphere to compete in. It’s also great to showcase your talents in front of a large number of college coaches.

I have been in contact with Yale, Akron, Navy, Marshall, Brown and Butler.

PREP BASEBALL: What were your Future Games highlights?

My Future Games highlight was mainly the showcase day. I improved on my 60. I also threw a 1.9 pop time. My BP round in front of all the coaches was very good, putting many balls out of the yard and having an EV of 102.9 and max distance of 414 feet. 

PREP BASEBALL: Assess your performance.

I thought I performed very well in the showcase and then I showed myself well in games leading my team at catcher and putting together good at-bats with a few hard hit balls. 

PREP BASEBALL: Give your thoughts on being part of Team Ohio and what stood out.

I took pride in being a part of Team Ohio. I was glad I got to compete against other states while I played for my home state. 

PREP BASEBALL: Touch on the competition you faced at the event.

We faced some good competition at Futures. The pitchers we faced were good and most were crafty. 

PREP BASEBALL: How can participating in the Future Games help you in the future?

Being a part of the Future Games can help me in a lot of ways in the future. Futures gives me a chance to perform and play in front of hundreds of scouts so it teaches me to perform under pressure while I am getting evaluated. 

PREP BASEBALL: What, if any, college coaches have you been in contact with since the event ended and the Aug. 1 deadline has been reached?

I have had a lot of calls and a lot of interest from many colleges in the SEC, ACC and Big 10. I have narrowed it down a lot.

My Future Games highlights were competing with my teammates and playing under the lights against Michigan.

I thought my performance at the Future Games was good. I was able to showcase what I could do in the field and at the plate.

Being part of Team Ohio was an amazing experience. The coaches and players were outstanding and all got along very well.

The competition at the Future Games was unlike any other event. Every kid there was very talented and it showed.

Participating in the Future Games can help me in the future because it gave me a chance to showcase my abilities to college coaches from all over the country.

I did well. I got a really quick five outs and was happy with my velocity.

I enjoyed playing with Team Ohio. They were great coaches as well as a great, fun group of kids with lots of talent.
