The Clearwater Summer ID took place on Tuesday, July 14, at Jack Russell Stadium in Clearwater, FL. The event featured players from the 2027-2031 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by bullpens in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

POWER BATS

Three batters recorded exit velocities of 100 mph or higher on Tuesday. 2028 Elijah Prisciandaro led the group in both exit velo (104.2 mph) and max distance (396 ft). 2028 Gray Mosley had the second-highest exit velo and max distance (101.4 mph, 374 ft), with 2028 Ian Jansen coming in third in those categories (100.6 mph, 370 ft).

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS

2028 Elijah Prisciandaro excelled during the outfield section of the Summer ID, with an event-best velocity of 98 mph. 2028 Gray Mosley (84 mph), 2028 Mark Klusman (82), 2028 Charlei Candelario (81), and 2028 Esteban Vazquez (80) also had strong throws from the outfield. 2028 Ian Jansen led the infield group with an 84 mph throw from the shortstop position. 2028 Ethan Morales (83 mph), 2027 Rylan Rizzardi (83), 2028 Oliver Dugan (81), and 2028 Will Wilkie (80) all recorded throws of 80 mph or higher as well.

ATHLETES

2028 Esteban Vazquez led the event with a 6.99-second 60-yard dash time, followed by 2028 Elijah Prisciandaro (7.01 seconds) and 2028 Ian Jansen (7.04). Jansen had the best vertical of the day at 27.5 inches, with Prisciandaro right behind him at 26.4 inches.

PITCHERS

2028 Elijah Prisciandaro’s fastball touched 89.0 mph, the highest of the pitching group. Prisciandaro’s arsenal also featured a slider (76.3 mph, 2796 RPM). 2028 Bobby Welker’s fastball was up to 86.4 mph. He also threw a slider (78.9, 2076) and a changeup (77.5, 1320). 2028 Oliver Dugan’s fastball was up to 85.6 mph. He also threw a slider (76.4, 1738) and a changeup (78.3, 1107).

CATCHERS

2027 Heath Richardson had a 74 mph velo to second base, which was the best of the group. 2028 Wren Keen (73 mph), 2028 Nicklas Farrelly (72 mph), and 2027 Jacob Ostreicher (71 mph) also had strong catcher velos. Keen had the best pop time of 2.03 seconds.
