MESA, AZ – On Tuesday, July 7, 2026 the Prep Baseball Arizona staff was at Desert Ridge High School for the East Valley Summer ID. The event brought together a strong group of prospects from the 2029 through 2026 classes and served as a check in for players as they continue their Summer circuits. 

Each participant received a full Prep Baseball profile update that included a headshot, video, showcase metrics and advanced data. With profiles accessed by college programs nationwide, the event provided meaningful exposure while giving our staff an important look at the talent Arizona has to offer. This Quick Hits article highlights the players who stood out most and made a strong impression throughout the day.

Tytin Clancy SS / OF / Queen Creek, AZ / 2027

Clancy continues to stand out as an athletic middle infielder with a well rounded game and the versatility to contribute on both sides of the ball. The left handed hitter showed present bat speed and feel for the barrel, producing a 97 mph max exit velocity while consistently working quality contact to all fields with a balanced, repeatable swing. Defensively, he was one of the more polished infielders at the event, pairing athletic actions with plus range, an 83 mph arm across the diamond and the ability to throw accurately from multiple arm slots. He also turned in a 6.76 second 60 yard dash and showed comfortability on the mound with a clean operation and feel for three pitches, further highlighting the athleticism that makes him an intriguing 2027 prospect.

 

 

Tallen Dannenfeldt 1B / RHP / Perry, AZ / 2028

Dannenfeldt put together one of the more impressive offensive performances of the event, pairing a physical 6 foot 2 frame with present strength and athleticism. The right handed hitter posted a 97 mph max exit velocity flashing the ability to impact the baseball when staying through the middle of the field. While first base appears to be his long term home defensively, he also displayed a solid 86 mph arm from the outfield and ran a 6.83 second 60 yard dash, highlighting his overall athleticism. He rounded out a strong day by running his fastball up to 84 mph with feel for three pitches, giving him additional value as a two way prospect with room to grow moving forward.

 

 

Camden Lauterbach RHP / Hamilton, AZ / 2027

Lauterbach's combination of size, athleticism and clean operation points to significant upside. Standing 6 foot 5 with a projectable frame, he worked comfortably in the 83 to 86 mph range while showing the ability to repeat a fluid delivery and attack the zone with confidence. His slider showed promising shape as a secondary offering and he also mixed in both a changeup and splitter to round out a four pitch arsenal. As he continues to add strength and incorporate more lower half explosiveness, Lauterbach has the ingredients to make a jump in velocity over the coming years.

 

 

Michael Morrow Jr SS / 2B / Vista Grande, AZ / 2027

Morrow Jr. stood out as one of the more comfortable infielders at the event, showcasing athletic actions and confidence throughout the workout. He moves well laterally, stays under control through the baseball and consistently puts himself in good positions to make plays, while his quick arm action and ability to throw accurately from multiple arm slots add to his defensive versatility. His 82 mph infield arm and 6.86 second 60 yard dash further reinforce the athleticism needed to remain on the dirt. Offensively, Morrow showed flashes of barrel feel and projects best when staying grounded through his lower half and working line drives back through the middle of the field.

 

 

Camden Ogborne RHP / OF / Boulder Creek, AZ / 2027

Ogborne was one of the more improved prospects from his previous Prep Baseball appearance, making measurable gains across the board over the past year. He added three miles per hour to his fastball, now topping out at 84 mph, while continuing to show the ability to land multiple quality secondary pitches. His athletic development was equally impressive, improving his 60 yard dash from 7.65 to 7.11 while showing more polished actions in the outfield and a more consistent offensive approach. The overall progression in both his physical tools and on field performance makes Ogborne an intriguing 2027 prospect to continue following as he continues to refine his craft.

 

 

Zach Osborne OF / 2B / Desert Ridge, AZ / 2027

Osborne put together a well rounded performance, showcasing the athleticism and versatility that continue to stand out in his game. At the plate, he displayed present barrel feel and the ability to drive the baseball to all fields, producing a 94 mph max exit velocity with a balanced, repeatable swing. Defensively, the outfielder showed an 85 mph arm with accuracy while turning in a 6.96 second 60 yard dash, highlighting his overall athletic ability. He also took the mound and filled the zone with a clean, repeatable delivery, reinforcing his athleticism.

 

 

Devin Park RHP / 1B / Mountain View, AZ / 2027

Park showed one of the more notable jumps from his previous Prep Baseball appearance, taking a significant step forward both physically and on the mound. The right hander added four miles per hour to his fastball, now working up to 85 mph, while showing improved tempo, a cleaner overall operation and present feel for a three pitch mix. His curveball continues to be an effective secondary offering, pairing well with a quality changeup to keep hitters off balance. With his projectable 6 foot 3 frame and continued gains in both stuff and delivery, Park is trending in a very positive direction heading into the next stage of his development.

 

 

William Parker OF / C / Desert Ridge, AZ / 2027

Parker delivered one of the most impressive offensive performances of the event, showcasing the strength and impact that have made him one of Arizona's top uncommitted 2027 prospects. The right handed hitter produced a 107 mph max exit velocity and an outstanding 101.1 mph average exit velocity, consistently driving the baseball with authority during one of the loudest batting practice rounds of the day. Defensively, he displayed his versatility with a 92 mph outfield arm while also showing the ability to handle catching duties with an 80 mph arm and pop times down to 1.98 seconds. Parker will look to carry that momentum into the Senior Future Games later this month in Georgia, where he will represent Arizona against many of the top players from across the country.

 

 

Gavyn Piskorski SS / RHP / Williams Field, AZ / 2028

Piskorski continues to make impressive strides with each look, showing measurable improvements across nearly every aspect of his game since February. The left handed hitter increased his max exit velocity from 88 to 93 mph while improving his average exit velocity by more than eight miles per hour, demonstrating growing strength and a more polished offensive approach. Defensively, he remains one of the steadier infielders in the class, pairing smooth actions and soft hands with an impressive jump to 88 mph across the diamond, a ten mile per hour improvement from his previous workout. He also showed the ability to contribute on the mound with a fastball up to 80 mph and feel for a three pitch mix, but his biggest gains continue to come as an athletic middle infielder with plenty of projection remaining.

 

 

Calan Platt 2B / OF / Paradise Valley High School, AZ / 2028

Platt put together one of the more complete offensive performances of the event, showcasing a mature approach and consistent quality contact throughout batting practice. The right handed hitter posted a 98 mph max exit velocity with a 359 foot max distance, demonstrating present strength while showing the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Defensively, he displayed the athleticism to handle multiple positions, showing smooth actions in the infield with accurate throws on the move while also looking comfortable in the outfield. With a balanced skill set, developing physicality and feel for the game, Platt continues to establish himself as an intriguing prospect in Arizona's 2028 class.

 

 

Mathias Slethaug OF / RHP / Chaparral, AZ / 2027

Slethaug continues to make steady gains offensively, putting together one of his strongest showings to date at a Prep Baseball event. The right handed hitter raised his max exit velocity to 97 mph while producing an impressive 93.2 mph average exit velocity, a significant jump from earlier looks that reflects the added strength and impact in his bat. Defensively, he remains a reliable presence in the outfield, pairing athletic actions with a strong 91 mph arm that consistently shows carry and accuracy. As he continues to refine the consistency of his offensive operation, Slethaug has the physical tools and defensive ability to keep trending in the right direction.

 

 

Taydan Spalti RHP / OF / Crismon, AZ / 2028

Spalti continues to establish himself as one of the more intriguing young arms in Arizona's 2028 class, pairing a projectable 6 foot 3 frame with a clean, repeatable delivery and advanced strike throwing ability. The right hander worked up to 85 mph while consistently filling the zone and showing confidence in all three pitches, giving him the ability to keep hitters off balance. His fluid operation, quick arm and feel for sequencing stand out, allowing his stuff to play beyond the radar gun. As he continues to add strength and physical maturity, Spalti has all the ingredients to continue making significant jumps over the next few years.

 

 

Dylan Taylor OF / RHP / Desert Ridge, AZ / 2027

Taylor continues to make significant strides on the mound, turning in one of the more impressive bullpen performances of the event. The right hander boosted his fastball from 82 mph a year ago to 87 mph, while pairing it with two high spin breaking balls that consistently generated quality shape and depth, showcasing one of the better pitch mixes in attendance. He also made noticeable gains offensively, raising his max exit velocity from 94 to 98 mph and his average exit velocity by more than 10 mph, while showing a strong 90 mph arm from the outfield. With continued development on both sides of the ball, Taylor has positioned himself as prospect to continue to follow in Arizona's 2027 class.

 

 

Christian Waldera SS / C / Desert Edge High School, AZ / 2027

Waldera put together one of the more complete performances among position players, showcasing a balanced skill set on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the right handed hitter displayed quick hands and present feel for the barrel, producing one of the more consistent batting practice rounds of the day while showing the ability to drive the baseball into both gaps. Defensively, he demonstrated the versatility to handle both shortstop and catcher, moving well behind the plate with pop times down to 2.08 seconds while also showing athletic actions, an 82 mph infield arm and reliable glove work on the dirt. His combination of athleticism, defensive versatility and offensive upside makes him a prospect to keep tabs on in Arizona's 2027 class.

 

 

Holden Walker OF / RHP / Desert Ridge, AZ / 2028

Walker turned in an impressive offensive performance, showcasing the strength and physicality that continue to develop within his 6 foot frame. The left handed hitter posted a 102 mph max exit velocity while consistently producing hard contact, showing his best swings when driving the baseball back through the middle of the field. Defensively, he looked comfortable in the outfield, pairing athletic actions with a strong 91 mph arm that showed both carry and accuracy. With present power, arm strength and a projectable build, Walker possesses an exciting foundation as he continues to mature.

 

 

Nate Wachinski LHP / 1B / Saguaro High School, AZ / 2028

Wachinski continues to emerge as one of the more intriguing left handed arms in Arizona's 2028 class, combining a projectable 6 foot 1 frame with a deceptive, repeatable delivery. The southpaw worked up to 82 mph while effectively hiding the baseball from a low 3/4 slot, creating difficult looks for hitters and showing confidence in a complete three pitch mix. His slider flashed as an effective secondary offering, pairing well with a quality changeup to keep hitters off balance. With present feel for pitching and plenty of physical projection remaining, Wachinski is a left hander whose upside is easy to envision as he continues to mature and develop.
