Brock Reichwein recently decommitted from Pitt and is back on the market as one of the top left-handed arms in Arizona's 2027 class. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound lefty is currently ranked No. 23 overall and No. 2 among LHPs in Arizona and brings some of the better upside in the state.
Reichwein's fastball has continued to climb, reaching 89.0 mph at the 2026 Four Corners ProCase after topping at 85.6 mph at the 2025 Future Games. The pitch also shows strong carry, reaching 21.5 inches of induced vertical break, and with his frame and recent velocity gains, there is still plenty to project moving forward.
Reichwein showed another jump at the Four Corners ProCase, where the fastball sat in the upper-80s and touched 89.0 mph. The pitch plays with quality carry through the zone, and the combination of velocity, life and a long 6-foot-4 frame gives the fastball plenty of upside as he continues to develop.
The biggest takeaway with Reichwein is the direction the profile is heading. He was already a Future Games arm in 2025, and less than a year later the fastball had jumped more than three miles per hour while maintaining the carry that has made it effective.
At 6-foot-4, 195 pounds, there is still room for more strength and velocity to come. For an already upper-80s left-hander with his frame and track record of progression, the upside is easy to see.

Recently decommitted, Reichwein immediately becomes one of the top arms available in the 2027 class. The size, upper-80s fastball and continued progression give him some of the better upside among available arms in the West.
