Cinco Guillen

POS: SS / OF
CLASS: 2027
STATUS: Uncommitted
NV: #21 Overall / #7 SS

Cinco Guillen has made one of the more noticeable physical jumps in Nevada's 2027 class over the past year and a half. Since early 2025, the 2025 Future Games alum has added significant impact at the plate, improved his speed and continued to build arm strength across the diamond.

The progression has been steady across multiple event looks, while our staff has also seen Guillen perform in game settings. He will get another strong opportunity this October at the West Coast Games, where the uncommitted 2027 will have another chance to show how far the profile has come.

AT THE PLATE

The biggest jump has come in the quality of contact. Guillen opened 2025 with an 86.6 mph max exit velocity and 73.7 mph average, then quickly pushed those numbers forward throughout the summer. By the 2025 Future Games, he was already up to a 92.7 mph max EV with an 88.4 mph average.

That continued into 2026, with Guillen reaching 95.2 mph in February before turning in his best round to date at the Reno Top Prospect Games. He finished that look with a 97.6 mph max EV and 90.2 mph average, showing a much more physical offensive profile than he did at the start of 2025.

ATHLETIC PROGRESSION

Guillen has added strength while becoming a better athlete at the same time. He ran a 7.26 60 in February of 2025, improved to 7.12 at the Future Games and broke the 7.00 mark this summer with a 6.94 at the Reno Top Prospect Games.

His arm strength has taken a similar step, moving from 80 mph across the infield at the 2025 Future Games to 85 mph this June. Guillen also reached 84 mph from the outfield, giving him the ability to move around the diamond while the athletic tools continue to trend upward.

GAME LOOKS

The measurable gains have also carried over into game looks. Guillen has shown the ability to handle velocity, stay on pitches and put together quality at-bats in multiple settings, giving the event progression some context beyond the workout numbers.

He also represented Nevada at the 2025 Future Games, giving our staff an early look at the profile before many of these gains took place. The player showing up now is stronger, faster and producing much firmer contact than he was at that point.

NEXT UP: WEST COAST GAMES

Guillen will get another key opportunity this October at the West Coast Games. After representing Nevada at the Future Games in 2025, he returns to a major event setting with a much different physical profile and another chance to show that progression in front of college coaches.

The progression since early 2025 is clear across the board, and Guillen will have another chance to put it on display this October. The West Coast Games will provide the next look at an uncommitted 2027 who has continued to get stronger, faster and more physical over the past year and a half.
