Earlier this week, Prep Baseball Washington released our latest rankings update for the 2028 class. The latest update saw a number of changes, with 150 total prospect forming the most up-to-date, cumulative list of Washington high school talent.

In our latest update, a total of 35 players were added, making their rankings debut. Below, we spotlight some of those notable newcomers, many of whom were seen at Prep Baseball events this summer.

Notable Newcomers - 2028's

Landyn Keister RHP / OF / Olympia, WA / 2028 From 7/10/26... "After stepping into a larger role on the mound this spring, Keister flashed his tools in a big way on the hill. Listed 5'11 160, Keister's long-limbed frame played bigger on the mound with some natural extension resulting in some added life to his arsenal. The fastball sat 86-87 T 87.2 MPH in this one, thrown from a high 3/4 slot release and a steeper approach angle. The CH flashed as a legit potential weapon at 74-75 MPH, paired with a SL as well. Keister's overall operation moved with more twitch and quickness since his previous look this winter, resulting in the velocity uptick. He'll be an arm to monitor as he enters his upperclass years."

Robbie Coma OF / RHP / Auburn Senior High School, WA / 2028 From 7/9/26... "One of the more eye-popping showcases start to finish came from the Auburn HS product, who posted standout metrics start to finish on Tuesday. A freakish multi-sport athlete, Coma graded out as a plus athlete right away with a 6.79 60 yard dash time and an event-leading 26.9 inch vertical jump height. The righty stick then delivered exceptional BP rounds, carrying a flatter, twitchy path through the zone with a peak exit velocity of 100.3 MPH and balls hit up to 370 feet. He rounded out his day on the mound with a great bullpen session, leading the event with a fastball up to 88.3 MPH and a three pitch mix shown overall. Though Coma was mostly used in relief and carries some rawness to this point, the arm talent and athleticism are sure to lead to future success. Standout look."

Rhys Burkhead RHP / OF / Chiawana, WA / 2028 From 8/6/26... "Last seen at a Prep Baseball event before his high school career had begun, Burkhead showcased some eye-popping gains across the board last week. The 6'2, 188 pounder ran a 7.1 with throws up to 88 MPH from the outfield, looking like a fit in left or right with some pop at the plate. Burkhead kept a mostly flatter approach with a peak EV of 100.1 MPH. On the mound, Burkhead featured a three pitch mix with a higher spin CH, low 70's SL and FB that was up to 86.7 MPH. The two-way ability showed out in a major way and is worth monitoring moving forward."

Max Beilke LHP / OF / Skyline High School, WA / 2028 From 7/16/26... "The smooth swinging lefty delivered some of the best BP rounds of the day and had a great showcase beginning to end. A 6'2, 185 pound rising junior, Beilke works short to long with a clean mechanical operation at the plate, pulling the ball with a peak exit velocity of 99.4 MPH. Beilke took some time to get the ball in the air in BP, but once he did he drove balls up to 349 feet. A 7.11 runner in the 60, Beilke had a clean defensive look with throws up to 84 MPH from the outfield and could stick at all three OF spots at the high school level. He then ended his day by flashing a three pitch mix on the mound with a FB up to 84 MPH and a CH/CB offspeed pairing, both pitches sitting in the low 70's."

James Glassburn OF / RHP / O'Dea, WA / 2028 From 7/1/26... "Glassburn took some time to settle into his BP rounds, but once he did the thunder in the RH bat showcased itself in a real way. The 6'0, 200 pound righty starts in a balanced setup, letting his natural size and strength move a heavier barrel through the zone with minimal lower half rotation. Glassburn works through a longer, whippy path, peaking with a 97.8 MPH exit velocity. He also worked in a three pitch mix on the mound with a fastball 80-82 MPH and a CB/CH offspeed combination with lower spin rates. Intriguing follow."

Evan Ryan C / 1B / Lake Stevens, WA / 2028 From 7/9/26... "Ryan flashed some of the biggest power at the event and has an exciting blend of tools to dream upon. A 6'1 185 pound prospect, Ryan had multiple towering blasts deep to LF in his BP rounds, with a peak exit velocity of 99.7 MPH and an average of 93.3 MPH. The hands stay tight to his frame with big time bat and hand speed present to punish balls with ease. A 7.13 runner in the 60, Ryan was also fantastic in his defensive portion of the workout, leading the event with a 1.93 second pop time and throws up to 83 MPH from the catcher position. Name to circle moving forward."

Zachary Kroll RHP / 3B / Colfax High School, WA / 2028 From 6/25/26... "The compact-framed sophomore had a great day start to finish in Spokane and is a name to monitor moving forward. Kroll's athleticism was on display early with a 6.99 60 time and fluid actions in the infield. Kroll also produced throws up to 84 MPH across the dirt. Offensively, Kroll carries a more pronounced weight shift in his load with a flat path and a firm front side at contact. He found hard contact throughout his BP rounds with a peak exit velocity of 96.8 MPH and an average of 88.1 MPH. Kroll also carries plus spin rates on a low-70's curveball to go alongside a fastball up to 82.8 MPH on the hill."

Devin Wallace RHP / OF / Interlake Senior High School, WA / 2028 From 7/1/26... "Wallace displayed similarly strong two-way ability on Tuesday. On the bump, he ran his fastball up to 83 MPH, sitting more 80-82 MPH. He also eliminated spin on a changeup in the mid-70's and mixed in a low 70's slider. Offensively, the hands set far from the frame with an arm bar through to contact, maintaining bend in his levers throughout. Wallace peaked with a 96.7 MPH exit velocity, averaging 87.1 MPH in his BP rounds."

Max Kelly C / OF / Kamiakin, WA / 2028 From 6/25/26... "An intriguing LH bat with defensive versatility, Kelly is a name to monitor moving forward. The sophomore sets in a more upright, narrow stance, creating rhythm pre-pitch with a flatter, loose-wristed swing through the zone. Kelly drove balls up to 99.6 MPH and 365 feet in his BP rounds, with an average EV of 90 MPH as well. The arm strength is still developing for the young player, but Kelly's quicker release led to a best pop time of 2.11 seconds from the catcher position. Kelly should see increased time on one of the more dominant HS programs in recent years as he progresses."

Cooper Thompson RHP / OF / Archbishop Murphy, WA / 2028 From 7/9/26... "Thompson flashed real two-way upside, with a particularly intriguing arsenal on the mound. The wiry, medium-framed arm delivers from a unique lower slot, with heavier horizontal action on a fastball up to 83.4 MPH. The CH was spotted consistently in the low 70's and the CB could be a real swing and miss pitch in the low 70's as well. Thompson also delivered a flatter RH path with balls hit up to 95.2 MPH in his BP rounds. Defensively, he's best suited for a corner OF role to this point with throws up to 82 MPH at Bannerwood. Name to keep an eye on, especially as the frame adds strength."
