1. Xavier Esquivel, Elk Grove High (CA), 2030
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP Fluid athlete that uses his length well in the field and on the mound.
Body: 5-8.5, 133-pounds. Lanky and slim body with very long legs.
Delivery: Very compact and repeatable motion. quality leg kick and slight kickout on it. Gets quality extension and loads quite well.
Arm Action: RH. Very quick reachback. 3/4 arm slot that invites some deception. Great arm whip.
FB: T79, 76-78 mph. Has some armside run, but generally plays quite flat with no late action. Able to locate it vertically, but not so much horizontally. T2110, 1878 average rpm.
CB: 65-68 mph. Straight down bite. Has some solid break but is not super sharp. Has a little bit of a hump as opposed to straight break. Misses up in the zone with it too often but lands it for strikes. T1647, 1647 average rpm.
SL: 69-69 mph. Has a quality tight break. More horizontal without much vertical break. Can't really get it down in the zone. T740, 740 average rpm.
CH: 68-69 mph. Has quality fading action gloveside. Inconsistent shape that finds itself just floating in at times. Shows some flashes of locating it below the knees and outside corner but is not consistent. T1055, 837 average rpm.
