TX/LA Super Sophomore Games: Quick Hits

On Saturday, August 15th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, to help host the 2026 TX/LA Super Sophomore Games alongside Prep Baseball Louisiana, an invite-only event for the class of 2029.
More than 30 players from Texas made their way to LSU and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.
We have already released a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting the top statistical performers. Today, we will provide our scouting takeaways on some of the prospects who stood out throughout the event.

Maddox Bryant | 3B/SS | Kingwood | 2029 | 6'1" 171
Athletic INF with a projectable 6'1", 171 pound frame and a strong collection of tools. Posted a 6.70 sixty, showing athletic movement that translates well to the dirt. Defensively, features quality footwork and angles with the ability to throw from multiple slots, while showing a plus arm up to 86 mph across the diamond. At the plate, displays solid pop to all fields with exit velocities up to 97.2 mph. Carried the offensive tools into game play with a two RBI line drive to left center field and a line drive base hit to right field. Toolsy 2029 INF with athleticism, arm strength, and offensive upside.
Parker Miller | OF/LHP | Burleson Centennial | 2029 | 6'3" 204
Physical two way prospect with an impressive 6'3", 204 pound frame, long levers, and plenty of upside. Defensively, is a solid OF with an accurate arm up to 85 mph and dependable actions. At the plate, the left handed bat shows big pull side juice with the ability to impact the baseball, reaching exit velocities up to 102.2 mph while putting together impressive rounds of BP. Carried the offensive tools into game play with multiple loud barrels, including a single to right field and a line drive double to left field. On the mound, works with a full arm path and was up to 86 mph with the fastball, mixing a 74-75 mph slider and 65-67 mph curveball. High upside 2029 with physicality, present power, and intriguing two way potential.
Landon Adkison | C/3B | College Station | 2029 | 6'1" 191
Physical left handed hitting catcher with a strong 6'1", 191 pound frame, high baseball IQ, and a true catcher mentality. Posted a 7.09 sixty and 2.03-2.12 pop times, while showing quality receiving and blocking skills behind the plate. At the plate, there is plenty of juice from the left side, reaching 101.7 mph exit velocity with the ability to turn the barrel and create impact through good rhythm in the hands. Put together quality at bats throughout game play, including a base hit to right field and a line drive missile off the right field wall. Intriguing 2029 catcher with present offensive impact, feel for the position, and a well rounded skill set.
Easton Moore | RHP/2B | Burleson Centennial | 2029 | 6'0" 160
Athletic two way prospect with a projectable 6'0", 160 pound frame and a well rounded tool set. Defensively, shows an athletic arm up to 85 mph across the INF with a quick exchange, the ability to throw from multiple angles, and quality actions playing through the baseball. At the plate, works with a flat path and profiles as a doubles type hitter, going 3-for-5 on the weekend including a line drive double to left center field. On the mound, shows a quick hand and strike throwing ability with the fastball up to 87+ mph at approximately 2350 rpm. Mixes a 72-73 mph curveball, 76-78 mph slider, and 79 mph changeup, showing feel for a complete four pitch mix. Intriguing 2029 with athleticism, pitchability, and legitimate two way upside.
Douglas Nicholson | RHP | Episcopal | 2029 | 6'4" 210
Physical, projectable right handed pitcher with an impressive 6'4", 210 pound frame and plenty of upside. Works from the stretch with a clean arm path and a repeatable operation. Fastball sat 87-89+ mph with 2500+ rpm, showing carry through the zone while creating tilt when working down. Slider worked 79-80 mph with 2300+ rpm, showing present feel for spin and giving him a quality secondary weapon. High upside 2029 arm with physicality, present stuff, and plenty of room for the arsenal to continue trending upward.
Patton Pomeroy | RHP | Lovejoy | 2029 | 6'0" 196
Physical right handed pitcher with a strong 6'0", 196 pound frame and plenty of upside. Works with a compact arm path and repeatable delivery, consistently pounding the bottom of the strike zone. Fastball worked 87-89+ mph with late life, giving the pitch the ability to miss barrels. Curveball sat 73-78 mph with 2400+ rpm, showing quality spin, while the 78-81 mph changeup rounds out the three pitch mix. Advanced strike throwing ability with present stuff and significant upside as the arsenal continues to develop.
Henry Kuenstler | RHP | Rockwall-Heath | 2029 | 6'0" 148
Projectable right handed pitcher with a lean 6'0", 148 pound frame and plenty of room to add strength. Shows a loose, clean arm with a repeatable delivery, maintaining quality rhythm and tempo down the mound. Fastball worked 85-88 mph, topping at 89 mph, with more velocity likely to come as the frame matures. Mixes two distinct breaking balls with a 71-73 mph curveball and 74-75 mph slider. Changeup worked 73-74 mph with fade, showing present feel and confidence in the pitch. Intriguing 2029 arm with four pitch feel, a clean operation, and significant physical projection.
Grayson Trout | RHP/OF | Glenn | 2029 | 5'10" 152
Athletic two way prospect with a lean 5'10", 152 pound frame and plenty of room to continue adding strength. Posted a 6.80 sixty and showed a strong 91 mph arm from the OF, giving him an intriguing combination of speed and arm strength. On the mound, features a quick hand with an athletic delivery, running the fastball 82-84 mph. Slider worked 74-76 mph with spin up to 2670 rpm, giving him a quality secondary weapon, while mixing a 76 mph changeup. At the plate, backed up the athletic tools with a line drive base hit up the middle during game play. Toolsy 2029 with legitimate two way upside and plenty of projection remaining.
Graham Barton | SS/RHP | Colleyville Heritage | 2029 | 5'10" 153
Athletic two way prospect with a 6.76 sixty and a well rounded tool set. Defensively, shows solid footwork with a loose arm, quick release, and carry across the diamond. At the plate, features quick hands with rhythm to the stroke and a flat bat path, producing gap to gap pop with room for additional impact as he adds strength. On the mound, works from a three quarter slot with the fastball up to 86 mph, showing ride through the top of the zone. Slider worked 70-71 mph with 2500+ rpm, developing movement with future potential. Athletic 2029 with tools on both sides of the ball and plenty of upside remaining.
Dallas Loeb | SS/3B | Bridgeland | 2029 | 5'10" 157
Athletic INF with a 6.85 sixty and a well rounded skill set. Defensively, shows range with feet that work and a clean, compact arm path, giving him the ability to handle multiple spots on the left side of the dirt. At the plate, features quick hands with an up the middle approach and feel for the barrel. Shows good instincts on the bases with an aggressive feel for the game. Competitive player who likes to play and brings energy, athleticism, and instincts to the field.
Brennan Ball | OF/RHP | Brewer | 2029 | 6'0" 164
Athletic prospect with a projectable 6'0", 164 pound frame and room to continue adding strength. Defensively, moves well in the OF, playing through the baseball with quality actions and showing arm strength up to 86 mph. At the plate, profiles as a line drive hitter with gap to gap juice and consistently put together quality at bats during game play. Highlighted the offensive showing by driving a line drive double that short hopped the right field wall. Quality 2029 follow with athleticism, barrel feel, and developing impact.
Brooks Jacob | MIF | Episcopal | 2029 | 5'9" 167
Steady middle INF with polished defensive actions and a strong feel for the game. Shows smooth actions on the dirt with soft hands and a quick release, giving him a dependable defensive profile up the middle. At the plate, is a consistent left-handed hitter with rhythm in the hands and a compact stroke, staying inside the baseball with quality bat to ball skill. Put together an impressive weekend at the plate, going 5-for-5 including a double to left center field. High feel player with a polished hit tool and a well rounded skill set.
Graham Toogood | OF/RHP | 2029 | 6'1" 176
Athletic, toolsy prospect with a projectable 6'1", 176 pound frame. Posted a 6.86 sixty and moves well in OF play, showing a quick hand and a strong 88 mph arm. At the plate, displays rhythm to the stroke with a flat bat path and the adjustability to handle different pitch types. Showed that feel in game play, driving a line drive single off a breaking ball and a line drive double to left field off a fastball. Intriguing 2029 follow with athleticism, arm strength, and a developing hit tool.
Anthony Bazan | OF/LHP | 2029 | 5'8" 166
Skilled two way prospect with feel on both sides of the ball. Left handed hitter with a compact path and quick hands, showing quality bat to ball skill and sneaky juice. Defensively, profiles as a corner OF with solid actions and the ability to play through the baseball well. On the mound, is a crafty left hander with a clean arm and repeatable delivery, consistently attacking the strike zone. High feel player with a polished offensive approach and intriguing two way value.
Peyton Lopez | SS/3B | New Caney | 2029 | 5'11" 179
Athletic INF with an impressive combination of speed and offensive upside, posting a 6.56 sixty. Defensively, shows range on the dirt with smooth actions and a quick release, giving him the ability to handle multiple spots on the left side. At the plate, shows a real chance to hit at a high level with present bat speed and the ability to rotate the barrel, while staying inside the baseball. Produced exit velocities up to 100.5 mph, showing impressive impact for the age group. Toolsy 2029 with speed, defensive ability, and a high upside offensive profile.
Caleb Kahoalii | RHP | Cypress Woods | 2029 | 5'10" 190
Physical right handed pitcher with advanced pitchability and a competitive presence on the mound. Fastball worked 87-90 mph with 2500+ rpm, showing the ability to change eye levels and effectively work up and down in the zone. Shows command to both sides of the plate with the ability to pitch in and out, while mixing a deep secondary arsenal. Curveball worked 78-80 mph, slider 81-82 mph, and changeup 81-82 mph, giving him a quality four pitch mix. Strike thrower who competes with energy and confidence, making him an intriguing arm to follow in the 2029 class.

Physical two way prospect with a strong 6'1", 227 pound frame and plenty of present strength. Defensively, profiles as a corner OF with a solid arm, reaching 84 mph from the OF. At the plate, shows strength in the hands and barrel with raw offensive tools that should continue to develop. On the mound, the fastball worked 84-86 mph with 22+ inches of IVB, giving the pitch quality ride through the zone. Curveball sat 69-71 mph with 2500+ rpm and showed swing and miss traits, while mixing an 82 mph changeup. Physical 2029 with intriguing raw tools and two way upside.
Jacoby Gomez | C/1B | W.B. Ray | 2029 | 5'10" 234
Physical C/1B who continues to show noticeable improvement on both sides of the ball. Behind the plate, brings consistent energy and a high motor, receives well, and posted 2.00-2.19 pop times. At the plate, has presence in the box with quick hands and present juice, producing exit velocities up to 99.7 mph. Carried the offensive impact into game play with a single to left field and a home run into the left field bleachers. Continues to trend in the right direction and is a 2029 player to watch as the overall skill set develops.
