2026 PNW State Games - Positional Data Dive

Dylan Grenz
Assistant Scouting Director

Last week, Prep Baseball PNW hosted the 2026 Pacific Northwest State Games at Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Center in Ridgefield, WA. The summer's premier baseball showcase event featured players in the 2027-2029 graduating classes, with many strong showings throughout.

The Pacific Northwest State Games event is a culmination of the year in high school baseball, bringing together some of the area's top prospects. The State Games allow college coaches to see how talent stacks up and recruit future contributors, with hundreds of players from the first two year's events going on to secure a college commitment. This year's event featured a great turnout of college coaches across the three days of workouts and gameplay.

Earlier, we unveiled our Statistical Analysis, looking at leaders in major stat categories. Today, we release our Positional Data Dive, focusing specifically on leaders in position player data. Stay tuned in the coming days for all post-event content, including more statistical breakdowns and scouting reports from the third annual State Games. For all other post-event content, click here

Body Rotation: A swing that has the appropriate relative contributions of body and bat rotations is an efficient and Powerful swing that maintains proper sequencing. An efficient baseball swing is one in which the body creates the initial movements, which is then transferred to the arms and out to the bat, thereby maximizing Bat Speed through this proximal-to-distal kinematic sequencing movement pattern.
