This is the week of the 17U National Championship, taking place July 15-21 at LakePoint in Emerson, Ga., primarily featuring players from the Class of 2027. Well over 2,000 players are headed to LakePoint this weekend, and more than half of them are currently ranked on their home state's Prep Baseball rankings.
Each day, we'll be highlighting the top performances and recapping all the games inside of this Daily Roundup series.

STL Legacy seized control with a six-run fifth inning, turning a 5-3 game into an 11-3 runaway at LakePoint 10. **RHP Brandon Ott (MO; No. 21 state)** set the tone on the mound, generating 14 whiffs across 4.2 innings while sitting 84-87 (T88) and striking out five. At the plate, **OF Boyer Hart (MO; No. 218 state)** and **SS Chase Rogers (MO; No. 162 state)** each went 2-for-the-day, and **SS Cole Chambers (MO; No. 214 national)** supplied the extra-base pop with a triple; the decisive fifth saw B. Kube deliver an RBI sacrifice bunt, B. Lindemann draw an RBI walk, and Hart knock in a run with a single. For Virginia, **LHP Drew Brown (NC)** missed plenty of bats — 12 whiffs, seven strikeouts in 2.1 innings — but five walks limited him, while **SS Cole Krokus (VA; No. 48 state)** and **SS Pierce Plemmons (VA)** each doubled in a tough offensive day for the Black.

Ironbridge Showcase 2027 5, Show NE 17u Showcase 2 Knotted at 2 heading to the fifth, Ironbridge Showcase 2027 broke the game open with a three-run top half to pull away for the 5-2 final. Gaines got it started with an RBI single, then came around to score on a base knock by Babcock, and Morris capped the frame with a bases-loaded walk that forced home the third run of the inning. On the mound, Robinson sat 84-87 (T88) and racked up 7 strikeouts and 13 whiffs across 4.2 innings, holding Show NE to just two hits while working around four walks. At the plate, Gaines went 2-for-the-day and Uzzle added a double to pace the Ironbridge offense.

Lynx Scout Team 17U grabbed a 2-0 edge with a two-run second, capped by D. Cordero singling home a run, but The Dream 17u Black steadily clawed back and pulled ahead for good by the sixth, closing out a 5-3 win. For The Dream, Troy Mastro went 2-for-4 with two doubles, and 2B Jack Walsh (GA; No. 166 state) added a pair of hits; SS Shayne Murphy (GA; No. 263 state) chipped in a double as C. Jones delivered the pivotal blow, a two-RBI single in the third that swung the game's momentum. For Lynx, OF Brody Gomez (CA) supplied the lone extra-base hit, a double among his team's modest offensive output.

Knotted at three heading to the fifth, Marlins 2027 Scout Team broke it open with a three-run frame to put Louisville away for good. The decisive blow came from **1B Blake Edling (TX; No. 87 state)**, whose two-run triple keyed the rally before **3B Jay Sralla (TX)** added an RBI sac fly to push the margin to 6-3. On the mound, Edling also delivered 3.0 innings of two-hit ball with four strikeouts, sitting 79-83 (T84). Sralla went 2-for-the-day to pace the offense. For Louisville, **RHP Peyton Landers (FL)** was sharp in stretches — 12 whiffs and seven punchouts across 3.2 innings while sitting 83-86 (T87) — and **C Duncan Stevens (KY; No. 61 state)** provided a double in a losing effort.

GBA Eisen turned a 2-2 tie into a commanding lead by erupting for three runs in the top of the third, and never looked back. The key blow came from **1B Keegan Seipp (IL; No. 296 national)**, whose two-run double highlighted the frame and gave Eisen a cushion they'd extend to 8-2 before East Coast Ghost National made things interesting. Seipp finished with two hits, as did **OF Michael Wolff (MO; No. 43 state)**, who added a double of his own. For East Coast Ghost National, **SS Lono Jurgenson (HI)** provided the best counter-punch, doubling home two runs in the third to keep the game within reach, while **Alex Fiore** went 2-for-the-day with a double, though the deficit proved too steep to erase.

Cooperstown Cobras Tredaway built a 10-2 cushion through four innings only to watch USA Prime Coastal Scout erupt for five runs in the top of the fifth and nearly complete the comeback in a 10-9 final at LakePoint 15. The Cobras' early damage included a two-run blast from C ALEC ANDREWS (TX) in the third, and RHP RJ WALKER (TX) set the tone early, sitting 79-82 (T83) with 4 strikeouts and 9 whiffs over three hitless-free innings. OF TYLER KING (TX; No. 366 national), OF JOHN RIVERS (TX), and SS James Brian Gil each added extra-base or multi-hit contributions to keep the offense humming. For USA Prime, the fifth-inning charge was fueled by A. Kipybida's two-run single — the key blow of the biggest frame — followed by C Addison Terry (NC; No. 120 state), who went 2-for-the-day with a double and an RBI single in that rally; 1B Gavin Jenkins (IN; No. 174 state) also went 2-for-2 to pace the lineup, but the deficit proved just too steep.

BAM 2027 Signature jumped out early, plating three in the bottom of the first — on an E. Cougill RBI single and an I. Ramey RBI walk among the damage — and never looked back, extending the margin to 9-1 with a three-run fifth on a C. Safford single that drove in three. On the mound, **RHP Miles Dubie (No. 179 state)** was sharp through 3.1 frames, holding the opposition hitless while striking out four and generating three whiffs, sitting 78-80 (T81). At the plate, **SS Giovani Ardizzone (IN; No. 40 state)** went 2-for-the-day with a double, anchoring the BAM offense.

Blue Ridge Elite 2027 staked itself to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first — C Abe Jaspen (VA; No. 191 state) singling home a run and SS Waylon Ammons (No. 68 state) doubling in another — but GRIT FUSION 17U chipped back and then seized control with a two-run fifth, capped by a two-RBI double from C Kevin Comblo (NY; No. 65 state), to take a lead it wouldn't relinquish. RHP Daniel Alvarez (NJ; No. 143 state) set the tone early, working three innings with seven strikeouts, 11 whiffs, and just one hit while sitting 84-86 (T88); OF Tyrus Ostrowski (CT; No. 61 state) followed with a sharp inning sitting 86-88 (T89), adding two more punchouts and eight whiffs. SS Daniel Higgins (No. 48 state) provided the offensive backbone for Grit Fusion, going 2-for-the-day with a double and a triple. For Blue Ridge, Jaspen finished 2-for-the-day and Ammons supplied the big early blow.

Deadlocked at 2 through two, ATL Lightning 17U Gold erupted for seven runs in the top of the third to put this one out of reach, with Dylan Chiock delivering the back-breaking blow — a two-RBI double — before Connor Bok singled home a run and H. Rollauer drew an RBI walk to cap the frame. Lightning got solid early work from Luke Gingrey, who was crisp through 2.2 innings (2 K, 6 whiffs, 0 BB), while the offense spread the damage across Connor Bok (2-for-4, double), Jack Simmons (2-for-4, double), Cole Hatfield (double), Carson Albert (2-for-4), and James Dockter (2-for-4). For MVP New England, LHP Philip Soltes (CT; No. 33 state) showed legitimate arm strength — sitting 80-87 (T88) with 10 whiffs and 4 strikeouts in 2.1 innings — and OF Declan Ellingwood (CT; No. 104 state) went 3-for-3 to lead a short-handed offensive effort, backed by SS Chris Cascella (CT) (2-for-3) and SS Joshua Gertner (No. 112 state) (double).

Building Champions 17U Smith buried East Coast Marucci 2027 early, erupting for five runs in the bottom of the first to seize control and never look back in a 10-4 final at Calhoun HS. SS Grayson McFall (KS; No. 68 state) drove in a run on a groundout during that decisive first-inning burst, then went deep in the fourth to finish 2-for-the-day with a homer; 2B Skyler Bernbeck (KS; No. 25 state) matched him blow for blow, going 2-for-2 with a two-run shot in the second that pushed the lead to eight. Building Champions tacked on again in the second to make it 8-3 before the game settled. No statistical standouts were recorded for East Coast Marucci.

Deadlocked at 2-0 through five innings, Building Champions 17U Cope blew the game open with a four-run sixth to pull away for the convincing win. The frame's centerpiece was a two-RBI double from 2B Tucker Gamet (MO; No. 115 state), and C. Taldo added a run-scoring walk to cap the rally. On the mound, the Cope staff was stifling all morning: 3B Finn Moore (KS; No. 14 state) opened with 2.2 innings (sat 83-84, T85), generating five whiffs; Pratt matched that whiff total over 2.1 innings with three strikeouts and zero walks; and SS Cameron Miller (MO; No. 266 national) closed it out with two clean frames, fanning three more while sitting 83-86 (T87). At the plate, Gamet went 2-for-the-day with the doubles ledger, and OF Warren Robertson (MO; No. 365 national) roped a triple to give Cope extra-base punch throughout the lineup.

Indiana Bulls White Scout turned a competitive early game into a rout by pouring in three runs in the top of the second to push their lead to 5-0, then added three more in the third and two in the fourth to finish the mercy. C Gavin Denton (IN; No. 72 state) got the Bulls on the board in the first with an RBI double, before OF Brady Vince (IN; No. 130 state) ripped a two-run double and OF Quinn Westerfeld (IN; No. 86 state) followed with an RBI double to fuel the decisive second-inning burst. 2B Henry Bannon (IN; No. 306 state) and 2B Jaden Mitchell (IN; No. 190 state) each went 2-for-the-day, with Bannon adding a double. For Ohio Elite 2027, SS Seth Keyhoe (OH; No. 172 state) provided the lone extra-base knock, a double in a quiet offensive afternoon.

Knights seized control in the top of the third, when back-to-back solo home runs turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead they'd never relinquish — though the Mariners knotted it in the sixth to force the tie. OF Daniel Maumus (TN; No. 171 state) went deep first, followed immediately by 3B Ross Hinthorne (TN); Maumus finished 2-for-the-day while C Gabriel Shepler (TN; No. 55 state) added a double. RHP Ryan Pearson (TN; No. 53 state) was the headliner on the mound, working 5.2 innings with 10 strikeouts and 17 whiffs while sitting 78-88 (T90). For the Mariners, C Bryce Pinsonault (NH) drove in their first run with a single in the first and went 2-for-2, as did RHP Michael Sbrizza (ME); OF Andrew Connarn (NH) logged 3.2 innings with five punchouts and eight whiffs.

Georgia Jackets 17U held on for a tight win at LakePoint 11, but Florida Sluggers 2027 briefly seized the lead when C Emanuel Hernandez (FL; No. 317 state) launched a solo home run in the top of the fourth. The Jackets answered with a pair of late runs — T. Markakis plated one on a groundout in the sixth, then 2B Calloway Holmes (GA; No. 209 state) doubled in the go-ahead run in the seventh — to complete the comeback. LHP Luc Oates (No. 91 state) paced Georgia's staff, striking out six over 5.2 innings and sitting 81-84 (T86) while generating eight whiffs. For Florida, OF Jacob Blankinsop worked 5.2 innings and generated five whiffs despite six walks, with SS Micah Arroyo going 2-for-the-day and 2B Luis Covault (FL) adding a triple.

Rangers National Scout broke a scoreless tie with a two-run sixth inning, getting the cushion they needed after B. Gaston singled in a run in the fifth to open the scoring. In the sixth, W. Clements reached on an error to plate one, and H. Ward grounded out to push across the insurance run that proved decisive when Canes rallied for two in the seventh. Colby Holland was sharp in his 3.2 innings, sitting 82-86 (T88) while generating six whiffs and four strikeouts against three walks. SS Bennett Gaston (MI; No. 402 national) led the offense with a three-hit, one-triple day; 1B Dominick Hopkins (GA; No. 312 state) went 2-for-2 with a double, and C Brandon Holstein (GA; No. 203 state) added a double. For Canes, 1B Drew Giles (GA) supplied their lone extra-base hit with a double.

Beast National 17u seized control with a three-run second inning, building a lead that held up through a tense finish at LakePoint 13. R. Suber Jr.'s fielder's choice plated two and J. Kraus drew a bases-loaded walk to cap the frame, giving Beast a cushion that proved just enough. OF Carson Pennington provided extra-base pop for the winners with a double. For US Elite Mid Atlantic, 3B Jake Lindsey (No. 48 state) delivered a two-RBI double in the fourth that trimmed the deficit to one, and Lindsey finished 2-for-the-day alongside SS Avik Cherry (MD; No. 16 state), who also went 2-for-the-day, but the comeback stalled there as Beast held on for the 5-4 win.

Top Tier IN broke a scoreless game wide open with a three-run fourth, then added three more in the seventh to complete the shutout. Bussard (sat 81-83, T84) set the tone on the mound, going 4.1 innings with four strikeouts, five whiffs, and only three hits allowed across his outing. At the plate, 1B Joe Geesaman (IN; No. 198 state) went 2-for-the-day with a double, SS Ryland Montgomery (IN; No. 100 state) added a two-hit effort, and OF Myles Steury (IN; No. 166 state) delivered the key blow of the decisive frame — a run-scoring double that highlighted the four-frame burst. P. Drudy's sacrifice fly also plated a run in the fourth. For Southeast Sox, Wiggs was a bright spot with a two-hit afternoon in the loss.

For NJ Pride, RHP Landon Delaney (NJ) collected two hits but his club couldn't generate anything against Kimm's efficient command.

Michigan Elite Selects 17U seized control with a four-run second inning, getting two RBIs apiece from C. Ortega and Nolan Booth on back-to-back singles to blow the game open and cruise to a 6-1 wire-to-wire victory. RHP Brody Sobota (MI; No. 88 state) was the story on the mound, spinning a complete seven innings with seven strikeouts, nine whiffs, and zero walks while sitting 84-88 (T89) — a clean, efficient line that will stand out in any coach's notes. C Jackson McNew (MI; No. 41 state) went 3-for-3 to pace the offense, and OF Ethan Sova (MI) added a double among his two hits. For MASH, SS Nolan Rolloff (No. 33 state) accounted for the lone run with a sixth-inning solo shot, and C Charlie Wielinski (No. 117 state) doubled in a 1-for-3 effort.

Hitters Black 2027 grabbed control immediately, plating two in the top of the first on a J. Hannion groundout and never looked back, tacking on runs in five of the next six frames to post a clean seven-inning shutout. RHP Brendan Carlson (IL; No. 235 state) set the tone on the mound over three innings, sitting 81-83 (T84) while generating four whiffs and striking out four against two walks and two hits. OF Michael Murphy (IL) went 2-for-2 with a run-scoring double in the fourth, Daniel Granados added a double, and 2B John Curbis (IL; No. 162 state) contributed a multi-hit effort. For Top Tier Kentucky, 2B Bo Redford (KY) and OF Drake Graeter (KY; No. 125 state) each collected two hits, with Redford's double accounting for the offense Kentucky could muster against a Hitters Black staff that kept the scoreboard clean throughout.

Marucci Spikes National burst out for five runs in the top of the second to turn a scoreless opener into a rout, finishing Montgomery Baseball Academy 9-0. OF Brennan Ryan (PA; No. 89 state) was the story on the mound, working 4.2 innings and sitting 82-84 (T86) while racking up 9 strikeouts and 19 whiffs against just one walk and three hits — a dominant stuff line for a prep arm. At the plate, Austin Cwynar went 2-for-2 with two doubles, including a two-RBI double in the decisive second; S. Vandetti added a two-RBI single and G. Ust plated another to cap the frame. SS Dominic Williamson (PA; No. 145 state) and SS Max Vollmer (PA; No. 159 state) each added a double, while 1B Christian Simons (PA; No. 151 state) went 2-for-2 to round out a deep offensive effort.

SS Brady Flesner (GA; No. 135 state) drove in a run with a single during the decisive burst, and OF Jake Adamson (GA; No. 103 state) doubled home another to stake SmarTense to a commanding early lead; Flesner finished 3-for-the-day while Adamson and SS Jaycob Veloz (No. 98 state) each went 2-for with a double. OF Caden Morris (GA; No. 327 state) added a two-hit effort featuring both a triple and a double. For Trosky, SS Beau Zacher (AZ; No. 75 state) provided the game's lone home run in the fourth, and SS Hudson Grainger (AZ; No. 144 state) doubled, while OF Colin Murphy (AZ; No. 80 state) went 2-for in a losing effort.

Steffens — and never looked back, building a lead that held through seven frames. RHP Cole Sabelhaus (IN; No. 61 state) was sharp early, racking up 6 strikeouts and 10 whiffs across 2.2 innings while sitting 82-87 (T88), giving up four hits and four walks. At the plate, 3B Isaiah Hopkins went 2-for-the-day with a double, 2B Caden Phelps (KY; No. 96 state) added a double of his own, and OF Braylen Hands (IN; No. 193 state) punctuated the win with a solo home run in the fifth.

East Cobb Yankees burst out for four runs in the bottom of the second to grab a 4-0 lead, but Ostingers Baseball 2027 Osting methodically clawed back and pulled away for a 9-4 final at Lassiter HS. The rally was fueled by an RBI walk from H. Beasley and an RBI single from M. Prather, yet the Yankees couldn't hold the cushion as Ostingers took control for good in the sixth. **RHP Evan Plusquellic (FL)** was the engine on the mound, sitting 88-90 (T92) across 4.2 innings with 4 strikeouts and 10 whiffs on just two hits, while going 2-for-2 at the plate. **OF Mason Johnson (FL; No. 126 state)** added a solo homer in the fifth to keep the pressure building. For East Cobb, **SS Hunter Hollier (GA; No. 78 state)** provided their most notable offensive moment with a double.

Academy Baseball Canada held a 2-1 edge heading to the seventh before erupting for four runs in the top of the frame to pull away at Rockmart Baseball Field. The decisive blow came from OF William Nolet, who lashed a two-double, three-hit afternoon — his seventh-inning double plating three — with SS DRAZIC CHARBONNEAU adding an RBI single in the same frame after a go-ahead RBI double in the third got Canada on the board. Charbonneau finished 2-for-3 with a double. LHP Thomas Côté Collard sat 80-83 (T84) over 3.1 innings, striking out four and generating 11 whiffs before Ludovic Therriault closed with two hitless innings (sat 80-82, T83), two strikeouts. For St. Louis, RHP Mason Boughton (MO) was sharp through 5.1 innings — five strikeouts, nine whiffs, one walk — and C Mason Sabin (MO) and SS Paxton Holiday (MO) each contributed extra-base knocks.

At the plate, C Brue Milner (AL; No. 215 national) went deep in the second for the game's first extra-base hit, while OF Stephen Bobo (TN; No. 185 national) went 2-for-2 with a two-RBI single in the decisive fourth; Quinley then doubled to plate two more, with OF Jacob Caruso (TN; No. 90 state) — a 2-for-2 day — among the runners scoring. 3B Angelo Geraldo (FL; No. 65 state), C David Saladdino (FL; No. 96 state), and C Ty Holt (AR; No. 4 state) each added a double to round out a deep offensive display.

Next Level Brewers Sandlot seized a 2-1 lead with a two-run third — K. Bates singled home a run and T. Borzumato followed with an RBI fielder's choice — before Southeast Sox answered in the fourth when C Max Weimann (GA; No. 310 state) launched a two-run homer to put the Sox back in front 3-2, a score that held until Sandlot knotted it at three in the fifth and the game finished deadlocked. For Southeast Sox, OF Caden Lawton (GA) went 2-for-4 with a double, Tyler Hickman added a double, and 3B Rylin Davis (GA) worked four innings with 4 Ks and 11 whiffs (sat 81-83, T84); OF Wyatt Earwood (GA; No. 421 state) tossed two clean relief innings with 2 Ks and 5 whiffs.
