Position Players

+ C Gavin McCrone (Ridgewood, 2027) physical catcher at 6-foot, 186.5-pounds. McCrone was a standout hitter during batting practice and into gameplay as he hit the event’s only homerun over the left-field fence and a triple into the left-center field gap showcasing his athleticism. He hits from a simple setup and foot lift load while keeping his upper half engaged with a rearward scap-load. The talented hitter consistently creates loud contact out front, making him a middle of the lineup bat. Defensively, he led the entire event with an 82 mph catcher velo which translated well into gameplay as he threw out a runner at second base by 10 feet. McCrone has all of the makings of a catcher at the next level.

+ SS Will Holly Jr (The Hun School, 2029) is a rising sophomore that is coming off an impressive freshman campaign. At the NJ TPG Holly continued his tear from high school ball with an impressive showcase portion and displayed poise during gameplay while facing some of the top uncommitted 2027 pitchers. He is a smooth swinging left-handed hitter that continues to develop more power while maintaining a mature approach at the plate. Defensively, at shortstop Holly displayed growth in his arm strength with an 87 mph velocity across the infield. During the game Holly always seemed to get into the correct position to make every play with high-level footwork.

+ SS/3B Nico Owimrin (Ranney, 2028) is a 6-foot, 180-pound middle infielder that has displayed defensive versatility with the ability to handle the hot corner. Owimrin was a top performer in the showcase and gameplay portion of the event where he produced an event leading 104.5 mph exit velocity in batting practice and laced a triple over the left-fielder’s head. The Ranney product has showcased his high-level power, impressive bat speed, and barrel control producing extra base hits and hitting for average.

2-Ways

+ RHP/SS Brayden Falcone (Cherry Hill West, 2027) was a standout performer on the mound and at the plate. Falcone is an athletic, wiry mover with a 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame with room for more to come. The two-way prospect has shown athletic tendencies at the plate and on the mound alongside impressive mobility that produces impressive metrics. His fastball was up to 87 mph while being able to locate to both sides of the plate to right-handed and left-handed hitters. Falcone also flashed a slider at 71-73 mph with swing-and-miss potential and a changeup where he had the confidence to throw it against a RHH.

Pitchers

+ RHP Jackson Burger (Passaic Tech, 2027) the physical right-hander led the event with the hardest thrown fastball at 90.8 mph. Burger’s fastball sat 87-90 for 2 innings of work and resulted in a dozen late swings and weak contact on in-zone pitches, especially the fastball. His go-to pitch was the fastball where he threw it over 70 percent of the time, his slider had short horizontal break where he threw it 74-77 mph. The harder his slider was the more successful he was landing it for a strike. Burger is a talented uncommitted arm to follow in the Northeast.

+ RHP William Howell (Lenape, 2027) a 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed pitcher who displayed his ability to attack hitters early and often. Howell located his fastball in the lower quadrant of the zone resulting in a lot of weak ground ball contact. His fastball was 84-86 mph and his curveball was thrown 74-75 mph with over -9” of IVB and 12” of horizontal movement. He kept hitters honest with his ability to land the breaking ball for a strike when he needed to.

+ RHP Ryan Mueller (Passaic Tech, 2029) is an intriguing rising sophomore who was a top performer for not only his ‘29 class but in the event as a whole. The right-handed pitcher is a high-waisted 6-foot, 160-pounder with room for more physical development throughout the high school years. On the mound he displayed a lively fastball at 83-85 mph with impressive extension downhill that produced an effective velocity of 87.1 mph on the fastball. He also showcased a firm slider at 76-78 mph with over 18” of horizontal movement. A talented, young RHP in the Northeast to follow.

+ RHP Daniel Gorab (West Essex, 2027) is a 6-foot, 166-pound right-handed pitcher who stood out while showcasing his pitchability and command of all three pitches. He sat 84-86 mph and topped at 86.5 mph while working the fastball inside and outside to all hitters. He landed his slider for strikes and induced out-of-zone whiffs while throwing it 73-74 mph. Gorab also flashed an intriguing changeup that showed late vertical depth and arm side action. The right-hander cruised through his 2 innings of work, a very talented and uncommitted pitcher from North Jersey.
