TEXAS - Every season, a handful of players separate themselves from an already talented field, and usually only one earns the title of Texas High School Baseball Player of the Year. This year, we are awarding two deserving players with the award. Both 2-way players consistently impacted games at the highest level, combining elite production, championship-caliber performances, and the ability to elevate those around them. From Opening Day through winning a state title, they proved complete and dominant players in the state.

Cole Koeninger SS / RHP / Keller, TX / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 2 / POS: 2 OverallRank: 9 / POS: 4 The 2024 Future Gamer & Prep Baseball All-American showcased his athleticism and two-way prowess all season for the Keller Indians, putting up impressive numbers on both sides of the ball. The 6A D1 State Champion earns the 2026 Prep Baseball TX Co-Player of the Year honor. Lucas Nawrocki OF / LHP / Aledo, TX / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 7 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 46 / POS: 11 The 2024 Future Gamer was dominant all season for the Aledo Bearcats. Put up numbers from the left side at the plate and was dominant on the mound as well. The 5A D1 State Champion earns the 2026 Prep Baseball TX Co-Player of the Year honor.
