2026 Columbia Rising Stars ID: Quick Hitters - Pitchers
July 8, 2026
The 2026 SC Rising Stars ID was set for Wednesday, July 1st, at The University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. The Rising Stars IDs help update evaluations and metrics. This setting provides a prime opportunity for prospects to strengthen their Prep Baseball profiles and position themselves for invitations to premier summer events such Carolina Border Battle, SC Top Prospect Games, and JR Future Games.
The Preseason ID plays a crucial role on the Prep Baseball calendar, serving as an early identification point before the SCHSL season. These events allow our scouting staff, and college recruiters, to establish a strong follow list entering the spring. Our staff strategically hosts preseason events across the state with the goal of identifying emerging prospects who have capitalized on the offseason, while also re-evaluating known players trending upward. Complete player profiles, including tech metrics, statistics, video, and detailed scouting reports, will be published on the Prep Baseball Report website, which is followed by more than 1,000 college programs nationwide.
The event began with A pro-style workout for all the position players followed that included running a laser timed 60 recorded using Vald Preformance Technology, pitcher bullpens with each pitch tracked by Trackman, a defensive evaluation, and finished with BP with TrackMan ball flight analysis.
Below we will look at the statistical breakdown for the event.

QUICK HITTERS - PITCHERS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)
|
Parker Ferguson OF / RHP / Lucy Garrett Beckham High, SC / 2030Ferguson showed an athletic, projectable look on the mound with plenty of room for future development. The 2030 right-hander worked 76-77 mph, showing a fastball with solid feel for the strike zone and the ability to attack the zone. His 66-67 mph breaking ball flashed quality shape and developing depth, giving him a promising secondary pitch to build around, while he also mixed a changeup at the same velocity with feel for disrupting timing. With an athletic delivery and a three-pitch foundation already in place, Ferguson is a young arm worth following as his strength and stuff continue to progress. |

Holden Howard SS / RHP / Chapin, SC / 2030Howard continues to impress as one of the more advanced young two-way prospects in South Carolina's 2030 class. On the mound, the right-hander worked 78-79 mph and showed outstanding feel for the fastball, consistently attacking the strike zone while generating quality ride through the zone. He complemented it with a developing 70-72 mph breaking ball and showed advanced feel for a 72-73 mph changeup, confidently mixing all three pitches throughout his outing. With athletic actions, pitchability, and a mature three-pitch mix already in place, Howard has the foundation of a high-level young arm with significant upside. |

Easton Tollison 1B / RHP / Freedom, NC / 2030Tollison showed an intriguing young arm with a physical 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame that projects well as he continues to mature. He demonstrated feel for multiple pitches, with his breaking ball flashing the best present secondary offering and the ability to create consistent action. His delivery and physicality suggest there is more velocity on the horizon as he continues to develop while his fastball topped 81.9 mph. Combined with his strength and projectable build, Tollison is an arm worth following closely in the 2030 class. |
